Lets splash out 20m on Brennan Johnson...versatile, young and one that possibly could make the step up to the PL...
Another one Brentford want. Depends if we want to become a develop and sell on kind of club or not?

I'd rather be that kind of club than the give away for free and then receive a paltry sell-on fee kind of club

Tarkowski's prowess with the ball at his feet doesn't trouble me. Remember those halcyon days where half the team - four defenders and Dickson's one instruction was: "Get the ball to Danny, he won't be far away and let him figure out what to do with it".  Seemed to go OK.

We need defenders who can physically win their personal battle and this fellow can.

Might be worth keeping an eye on the young Stoke forward D'Margio Wright-Philips who had an excellent game against us the other night - might have even been his debut! Kebano is playing as well as ever at the moment but young D'Margio might be excellent cover and / or successor!

Depending what the price is, if cheap for squad depth, I'd love Sander Berge. Think he's a real gem in that side. Rocky season with injury but every time I watch him I think he's decent.

Isiah Jones with some coaching on decision making could be an amazing player too.

I am completely switched off about new incoming players, the priority right now is to get our players free of Covid and fit and ready for the next match. We already have the quality players to win the Championship .

Just heard on wireless that Bournemouth looking to bring Keifer Moore and Tommy Lawrence in. Two good signings there.

Both stand out in the Championship but I very much doubt they  would cut it in the Premier League. Neither would be very ambitious signings.

Agree 100% - good players for a team trying to win promotion but not a team going up

Agree good shout (re sander berge) not seen much of Isiah Jones but Spence for Boro / Forest looks good - ex Fulham also I believe

We Are Premier League

Doesn't look like we are going to see any exciting incoming deals, might just as well send someone up to Newcastle to be ready for a last minute loan deal...one or two 5month loans could be valuable if we manage to offload some of our less successful signing.

They already have 26 overage players (excluding the long term injuries), 25 if they cut the 4th GK from the squad. With a few more players expected to join they will surely do a few last minute loans. The likes of Krafth, Hendricks and Gayle are all solid Championship players, not stars but useful for rotation and/or if we are missing a few players (Tete etc.).

This makes a lot of sense if, like you said, we can offload enough of our unsuccessful loans/fringe players.

Apparently Spurs looking at Spence, I like him, but he's not consistently been this good so I'd be a little wary to be honest. Jones needs to improve his final ball if he wants to step up from mediocre championship player to top 2 championship side and EPL side.

I've only watched Spence 2 or 3 times, but every time I do he looks like such a handful. Rapid pace, good delivery, a few tricks. There's definitely some potential there.

I'd say hes been fantastic the last 4 appearances I saw him since probably Nov. Before that, he was ok, nothing special. So definitely got potential.

Parker must now be concentrating just on getting promotion, if he fails his job could be on the line and under those circumstances there is no point in thinking about the Premier League until you get there.
