Dan burn on Newcastle's radar according to SSN. Whilst he's a proper solid CB it stinks of desperation as they are yet to sign their main target.

Kongolo out on loan a great shout. He needs game time and to get back to match fitness and that isn't happening at this stage of the season with so much on the line. See if he starts to show top form again on loan and if so keep him on next year. Never know , a long shot but he could still come good and was fantastic in the Prem for Huddersfield years ago

Agree, I have no doubts at all their is a premier league CB in there, just needs games and to get fir

Thats not Kongolo

LOL!

If Kongolo is fit enough to loan out that could be good news for next season. As long as he plays and stays injury free...

Can't see Woy wanting a Quinn type player back.
Nor can I, but I think Watford have a European type setup where the coach has little say on who comes in and goes where, so they may call him back and get him first team football elsewhere.

Totally agree WSW, was really expecting Kongolo to be our left sided CB by now but Ream is doing great and Kongolo obviously not doing enough to convince Silva to give him a place on the bench....  Nos the time to give him game time time elsewhere.

You don't need radar to spot Dan Burn. You can see him from outer space with a decent pair of bins.

@jolslover

Diawara would be a big coup for a Champ side - bought for 20m from Napoli by Roma
Probably more one for if we were promoted

Seri's African Cup is over and should he is heading back to Fulham, giving us one more midfielder.

If we were to make one purchase, I'd like to see a promising right back (Jed Spence looked terrific in clips of Forest game...). I looked at Kenny Tete's stats. Like most I rate Tete highly but he is injury prone.
He has played only 13 of our Championship matches this year and 18/38 last year. Moreover in the latter he only completed 90 minutes on 11 occasions. Odoi can cover but is probably not going to feature in the future. We have Bryan and the promising Larkeche at left back but, unless we're recalling Fossey from Bolton, we're thin in that position

That is good news, our midfield has been performing well but was looking a little stretched. Cairney, Seri Carvalho , Reed should be able to impress for the rest of the season.

If only we had Spence as a youngster.

Fulham's are confident they can get Diawara on loan this window with an obligation to buy if we go up, if we cannot get him on loan in this window, we will go back for him permanently in the summer. Struggled for from for Roma but was excellent at Napoli prior

I know nothing about him if I'm being honest but why do we need a DM?

Reed is so obviously better in that role rather than as an 8. We have seri, Chalobah, and to a less degree Onomah as back up.

I don't understand the signing really, surely a new winger or fullback is more pressing.

I think a top, top class DM would transform the team. You could argue that all of those recent long rangers that we've conceded could to some extent have been prevented by a more mobile, imposing DM. As you say, it's not really anyone's position at the club bar Reed. I see Chalobah, Seri and Onomah all as more advanced midfielders.
