We Are Premier League

Wouldn't surprise me if a deals completes a deal this window if a loan back for 18months was included, would suit all parties involved

This is the very best we can hope for. We get him until the end of the season and a whole year in the prem. He gets guaranteed first team football and Liverpool can see what he's like in a premier league team. If we manage to stay up then we get the premier league money to get a replacement. The lad never wanted to stay which is a real shame but we need to be clever in what we do now. Leaves a big hole if we can't have him next season.

I think loans for longer than 12months were banned from thevstart of this season, so most likely a 6m loan.

£100,000 per week at age 19 and we thought Haynes had hit the big time on £100 per week.
It really is ridiculous and a national wage cap just has to be agreed.

National wage cap would be a terrible idea. It would force the best and brightest to foreign leagues.

If would have to be a global agreement otherwise it wouldn't work for English football

Unfortunately, for me, this is the difference between a club staying in the Prem and staying as a yo yo club. If we can keep those young up and comers for at least a season in the Prem, and they prove they can cut it and warrant a big move elsewhere, fine, but not being able to hold on to key talent for another season at least, just shows where we are as a club unfortunately. Be a real shame if this window cements the fact our squad will at the least, be worse off next season, at the worst, for this season as well as I struggle to see any players of Fabio's ilk being available for any reasonable price.

💯 agree with this. Until we can cement ourselves as a stable (as stable as one can possibly be) Prem club then it'll be tough to keep hold of talent. We've always had to feed the bigger fish but it feels more acute over recent seasons with young talent. It's a symptom of either desperately fighting for promotion in the champs or desperately fighting for survival in the Prem - it breeds a short termism mentality around the whole club - staff, managers, players and fans.

If we get 12 million for Fab, in cash, plus the loan back, it's good business considering he's a goner.
Don't want a loan back if he's going then go now , I wont cheer a player that doesn't want to be at Fulham .

Agree entirely. Doesn't want to be at Fulham then he can **** off as far as I'm concerned. It won't cost us promotion whether he stays or goes. It will cost us millions by him not signing a contract. FFC is bigger than any 19 year old however good he may be.

Tapping up died the day that agents became a thing.

+1. The PFA missed a trick and should have represented their members in transfer/contract negotiations long, long ago.

I don't care who you are but if you offered a position in a company that is potential better than yours with a potential to improve and reach greater heights in your profession, you would not turn it down.
I've enjoyed watching him playing for us, he has a talent, which I will look forward to seeing in the Champions League.
We've done the same to obtain players from lower league teams, Get over it and move on.

I think the 12 mill fee is correct, although we won't see all of it, a certain % is paying off the Wilson fee which gives us more FFP wriggle room. Wouldn't expect us to get much more than 5 million in cash
And what about the pony tail boy fee the thieves owe us?

They took that off the initial Wilson price
Thanks for the info WSW
If that's the case then all well and good, but we will never ever get better if we carry on like this!
Surely we should at least have the 12kand a sell on % in the deal?
In my view we should have a minimum of a 25% sell on, in the deal!
We really do seem like naive mugs in our dealings!?

Agree about a 6 month loan, but I'd take an 18 month loan, with the option to end early if he's not performing.

Seems like a no-brainier to me: he'd be nowhere near the Liverpool squad for now and it'd get him a starting spot in the Prem (most likely) with us for a season to prove himself, whilst we get some money now and to keep a player who fits in our squad.

Agree entirely but there's a way to move jobs with good grace and there's a way to piss off your current employer and burn your bridges. He's chosen the latter particularly by pushing this one day before the deadline leaving our club with few options at the last minute

Are you saying promotion is already guaranteed  ?
Rather foolish if you are.

But do we know that he has pushed the deal through, or is it just paper talk or hearsay?

If all this talk  of a Liverpool offer is true hopefully some of the other big clubs will come in with a bigger and better offer giving us more money to invest in this window but with one day left hopefully we have planned targets lined up.

As a young footballer with limited first-team experience, you might.

As a young  footballer, you might look at the many talented youngsters who have moved to a 'big' Club early in their careers and have not continued to develop as well as they had been doing at their 'smaller' clubs - where the opportunities to play were greater and the weight of expectation less.

We have our own recent, well-documented examples in Patrick Roberts and Ryan Sessegnon - and there have been other lesser lights such as Buffonge and Adeniran (Who indeed?). The latter pair were each progressing well in our Academy but ditched us for Manchester United and Everton respectively and, to the best of my knowledge, went on to make little impact in their new surroundings.

So the saga is dragging on. TK is playing hardball with Liverpool, Liverpool don't want it to go to the summer and want it resolved now so as to beat the competition, however TK is upping the demands to reflect this. I don't know any further details, but unless Liverpool give TK and FFC what they want the deal won't happen

Haha 😄
I was just going to post the same, think we must have read the same tweet,
Interesting day ahead now, do Liverpool up the ante, does somebody else come in or does it go to tribunal at the end of the season.

I wonder what extra TK is demanding? More money or extended loan period. Either way we need to get a good deal out of this. Still such a shame his contract was not extended a year or so ago!
Stand up if you still believe!

If we can get £12m, a sell in clause and a 6 month loan back I think we bite their hand off at this point

As far as I know, it wasn't allowed.
