Bournemouth have agreed a deal with Liverpool to sign Nat Phillips on loan.

if you add Kiefer Moore and Todd Cantrell to that and I think Bournemouth have stolen a march on us during this transfer window.

We can't be that astute in the transfer market as we cannot seem to loan out the dead wood and do not spring any surprises either. Don't get me wrong a great season to date but we have only 1 recognised striker at this level could really do with a RB and CB

Bournemouth looking to sign Nat Phillips as well as Neco Williams on loan from Liverpool until the end of the season.

Greedy Scott!
And Cantwell at Norwich and Moore from Cardiff, having already got Laird from Utd. Be a great, great window from them if they got even a couple of those over the line

All these from a manager who blamed the loan system for his under par performances, beggars belief.
Watching the ups and downs since 1958, wouldn't have it any other way, what a roller coaster of a club.

One recognised Striker at this level? Sorry what sport does Muniz play then?

Think he means proven in the Championship. And whilst I think Muniz is good enough for this league, he isn't proven
I was there, standing in the Putney end

FWIW, Muniz has a better goals per minute ratio than Mitrovic... for any other team in the league (including Bournemouth) he would be starting far more often.

fulhamfan

I dont think Carvalho will go this window. If he holds out until summer he can get a better deal anyway

I think it's clear that they need more reinforcements than we do.
We may need a no. 10 for Fabio (don't think he'll go this window personally) and a RB though Tete's injury apparently better than first thought.

When you say "don't spring any surprises" I'd say that Muniz (who's goals per minutes is better than Mitro) was a surprise, Tosin, Tete and Robinson for £8m was exceptional business and Wilson has been a fantastic pick up.

Bournemouth certainly going all in, trying to get that spark that I suspect could reignite the team mid year and carry them over the line.
It's a bit trickier for us I think because the concern area is in defence and throwing in a new signing in Jan is a gamble - one that paid off with Hector but could as easily upset the squad.
What do you need to add attacking wise to the highest scoring team in Europe? Can they do the business in the Prem - no, but we're not in the Prem

Bournemouth must now have a massive squad.
I wonder what their FFP situation is.

Tabby

I guess people are getting swept up in the flurry of deadline day. We have a good squad, only real reinforcements should be ones that are ready for the step up to the Prem and those are hard to sign while you're still in the championship.

For what it is worth, don't think any of the players that Bournemouth have signed or are rumoured to sign would get into our starting eleven.

WestSussexWhite

Bournemouth's scatter gun is very risky, it could work and they get promoted, or alternatively if they miss out on promotion FFP will bite them on the arse and, Parker will have to bed in 6!!! New players in February, it could really de-stabilise the team having that much upheaval

This is spot on. How many of the players Bournemtouh are signing will make it in the prem? Or will it be a total rebuild next summer for them if they go up?

Maidstone Lee

Like every transfer deadline day there will be a name bandied about early evening then a mad rush to get them in before the deadline. It's the Fulham way....and I'm here for it!  :005:

Swap the word recognised for proven and that is what I meant. Both muniz and standfield totally unproven.

Somerset Fulham

We have a good squad, we don't need to sign anybody.

If BDR can rediscover some form then we have a decent replacement for Fab should he go. If Fab doesn't go, then we're tied by FFP anyway, aren't we?

...and that's fine with me.

When you have the best forward in the league, who is expected to play 38-40 games, you don't go out to get a proven striker that will be sitting on the bench. You get a player with potential like Muniz that knows he will get his chances, but will have to be patient and may not play that much in the beginning.

It does seem like a 'put all the eggs in one basket while parachute payments are in play' approach. Very risky if it doesn't work.

Parker seemed to always complain about the transfers being taken out of his hands when he was at Fulham. So many linked to Bournemouth I wonder who is in control of these transfers?
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope
