The video that followed that was Fulham v Oldham with Best playing for us. We won 5 0 with Maybank and Peyton making their home debuts.  QPR v Man Utd was called off and a fair number of Man Utd fans came down to watch our game as did Brian Moore and The Big Match cameras.

I remember that game as well as Best's chipped goal putting the keeper on his backside. Pitch was icing up and you can see some slips in the footage.

Moore was quite patronising in his comments but I later worked with someone who knew him. Apparently he had a soft spot for us.

Thanks for this!  I was there that day and seeing Les Strong reminds me of the girl that stood with about 20? of us. She had a huge thing for Les. I couldn't see it back then but now I see it even less. No disrespect to the man, Fulham legend.

Know what you mean. I will say that Les used to be in the Putney end and he has aged well.
