FULHAM have had a £5million bid for Arsenal's Nicklas Bendtner rejected.

Cottagers boss Mark Hughes will have to pay £6.5m to land the Danish hitman, 22.

Hughes is also looking at Cardiff's Jay Bothroyd.

He would be quite good. He's young, Zamora-like and a good finisher. Would fit in well with Hughes style of play so I'm all for it.

The Wages would/might be a problem. But if this  bid is true I feel a bit happier that we are going for these players then just Bothroyd and the like.

Bendtner would be a hell of a catch. Experienced, tough, a goal scorer yet still young enough to improve. That Arsenal would sell him for £6.5M astonishes me frankly. I can't see that happening or the player being willing to drop to our level but who knows. He'd get regular football and might be all we need to really flourish.

Would be a great signing but he is a bit of sick note and throws temper tantrums regularly but if Hughes can manage Craig Bellamy, he can manage anybody

Just what we need IMO, experienced young players who can get better. A better signing than Keane for example based on age alone.

£6.5 may not be too outrageous because he is now firmly a backup striker behind both Chamakh and Van Persie.

Lets face it, he cannot be worth much more otherwise he would be a starter at Arsenal

I have always liked Bendtner, big, strongish, decent with his feet, a little smug but Mark Hughes may be just what he needs to improve. Let's get 'em.
