What is a joke is that Ream didn't make the team of the season when we all know he has been our best defender by a distance.

Disagree. In my opinion Tosin has been our best defender without a doubt. Agree with the EFL here.

Think you might.be on your own there.

bobbo

The reporter from talk sport was at the awards ceremony and he interviewed a Fulham fan along with harry wilson also he also said he was at our game on Saturday and criticised the Fulham fans for one or two of the chants , to which I agree there was one particular nasty one referring to Scott Parker's wife, I thought totally uncalled for , come you lads we are better than that. This reporter also brought up about the ref and said he had a nightmare of a game totally lost , couldn't keep up with play and many decisions were poor.

Clearly not, as evidenced by the inclusion of Tosin in the EFL team of the season.

I think Tosin is a much better defender in every sense, particularly he is much faster and he is better in the air.

toshes mate

Forty goals a season strikers do not come along too often but I am guessing that Mitro and the whole FFC squad would say this season has been a triumph of team spirit and team work from all concerned unlike last season when there was seldom a sign of a team at work.  Those nominated will know how much they owe to their mates and coaches too.  Good to have FFC back on track as a united spirit and I hope it lasts as long as is possible.

"In every sense"? Tosin is certainly quicker but Ream's distribution is better and so is his anticipation. Both good headers of the ball. But the debate isn't who is "better", it's who has had the better season. For me it's very clearly been Ream.

Yep same. That's not a slight on Ream either.

Bassey the warrior

Carvalho unlucky not to get young player of the year for a 19 year old playing his first full season.

Slaphead in Qatar

How the hell did Antonee get in the team of the season - he can't even get into Fulham's starting eleven now

that's the beauty of football where there are many opinions to be debated. Don't know if someone can find out how many times each of them have been voted MOM on this forum and the offal during the season.

I'll be honest, I tend to disregard the forum MoTM's as a metric on performance, often because I find some of the selections a bit bizarre. The games about opinions but I'd say in things like this, for instance, Reed, because he runs around a lot, will almost always get a few votes and Ream has definitely got a bit of a cult following on here in those regards. Don't get me wrong, big fan of Ream but he's one of those players for us that if it's a tight game and we don't really have one standout, he'll tend to get the votes.

I guess my point is, officially, he's had 43 appearances and one MoTM according to whoscored.com. I betcha he's had a lot more on both the Fulham website and on here.

A travesty Ream didn't make that team he  has been immaculate all season.

he's had 4 Tosin 2 on the offal but they don't seem to have a MOM for when we lose. Couldn't find the Preston away result in which Ream scored our only goal.

I'd also say that amongst us on here, we probably "watch" Ream more than the sites that give these odd facts & figures, so we'd be better placed to say who deserved MOM than a site that relies heavily on stats alone. For instance whoscored.com has Loftus-Cheek scoring almost exactly the same last season as Harrison Reed and Mario Lemina. The naked eye placed the latter two way, way, way ahead of RLC.

For those that are unbiased Robinson has consistently been the left back in the championship team of the week over the season, well deserved and yes I have criticised him on his poor games but overall the lad has played well. Need him Tuesday
Watching the ups and downs since 1958, wouldn't have it any other way, what a roller coaster of a club.

That's not whoscored.com giving it though. It's the league official system giving it. It's still subjective for sure but its not just stats based on who gets the actual award. Often its a match day official analyst who gives it.

As to RLC, same reason I'd disregard the people on here voting Ream most weeks, same argument can be applied to media darlings but either way, it doesn't detract my belief that Tosin as been as vital or more so than Ream at the back here. For what its worth, I wouldn't really like to scale it as both have played crucial parts in this seasons success.

Personally think it's a bit odd that rather than celebrating that Fulham players make up over a third of the ToTS there are people still turning it into a Robinson v Bryan and a Tosin v Ream debate rather than just enjoying the fact that we've had so many players pushing to be in the best XI at the end of the season and running each other close to be best in their respective positions.

To be fair, I engaged but said ' For what its worth, I wouldn't really like to scale it as both have played crucial parts in this seasons success.' as I'd rather celebrate our strengths than get a tape measure and play top trumps with them all.....
