Looking on Facebook, it would seem that those that travelled, seem to have had a great time, despite the result. No one is going to take away the joy of last Monday evening, so moan away and let's just wait and see what happens in the close season.

When football become like a religion that nobody can criticise. That is when it becomes tedious. It has been a wonderful season right up until the end when we lost more than we won. It is no good trying to deny it because we can all see it. We can make excuses that once promotion was won we took our foot of the pedal.

However fans are not religious zealots. Fans have the right to admit the team had a disappointing last set of matches bar the 7-0 all be it against a weakened Luton. A wonderful season with a disappointing ending with much to consider for next season.

If others don't care then that is the correct response. But MBs of football clubs tend not to abide by the only say positive things  club rule.

I don't think any fulham fan would deny that's it's been an amazing season.  Does that somehow forgive today's lack of respect and professionalism - I'd say no.
That's not intolerance- that's simply judging a performance on it's own merits, rather than conflating it with happy memories from previous games.
Let's not criticise our own fans though for calling out a genuinely poor performance.

I think there was an emotional and physical hangover after the effort and high of last Tuesday.
Plus we had  squad players playing who'd hardly played first team football this season , and it showed.

I don't believe there was a lack of effort, or that the team wasn't bothered, but we obviously couldn't be as driven as Sheff U, especially lacking important players.

But conceding  a first, then a second  very  soft goals  led to our downfall, and not being able to come back after conceding the first goal has seemed a bit of a weakness this season - though it maybe seems a bit churlish to speak of a weakness after the season we've had:
though, of course, people are looking  towards next season, and what might happen  against Prem forwards.

But I don't think yesterday's performance should take away from what the team has achieved  this season.

Obviously posters are free to air their views, and frustration, and  criticise the team, which they can and do; and I'm sure there will be occasions next season when team and manager come under a lot of criticism - but others should also be free to criticise the critics and defend the team, if that's how they feel!

Well stated.
Calling people moaners because they point out facts.
We are the champions of the championship which is wonderful, and I was there against Luton and celebrated wildly,so I would have liked to have seen a performance yesterday of champions class.
We started the game well,but once they got a couple of goals we were shot,and as I pointed out on another thread it's happened on occasions.
And remember Sheffield had all four strikers out injured yesterday,could have been the type of score that we have dished out to teams this season,and that wouldn't have looked good for the championship that the Champions got thrashed.
Stop calling people moaners because they point out a few facts that are quite obvious,we all support the club,nobody more so fanatical than me,and I fret and I'm  hard to live with(just ask the wife) when we lose any game.

There is no doubting that we have had a good season, but it could and should have been much, much more.

In some matches we haven't been able to find answers i.e. like against Sheff Utd twice, like Coventry twice etc. The Premiership squad will be much different, but we will still need to find those answers. Supporters are rightly questioning that.

In those matches we just continued to do the same thing and walked into defeats.

It needs to be different, otherwise we will be back down again, but hopefully not so different that it leads to dissatisfaction from those who have done so well to get us where we are today and deserve a decent chance to show they can cut it in the Prem. A tricky balance for management to achieve.

Personally, I'd be happy with three new signings - from back to front (so not in priority order) - a new keeper, a long-term partner for Tosin, and a really strong yet creative central midfielder. I guess the last of the three will be the most difficult to find, and expensive.

And I am not having a go at Marek Rodak. But we clearly need a major improvement on the current 2nd and 3rd choices and someone with whom Rodak will need to compete to be the usual number one.

I think it's less moaning more general concern about next year . We have been well beaten by teams well below next years level . We are going to find ourselves behind and in difficult situations a lot next year and we need to cope with it .
Maybe silva has already told some of the players they won't be here next year and it has caused a dip ?

It's been a fantastic season and huge improvement on our last championship campaign but this dip is undeniably a concern .

After the first 10 minutes, we couldn't manage a 5 yard pass without giving the ball away. We didn't do any of the basics, mark Gibbs-White in the box. So everything that defends that performance is an excuse.

Who we had on the pitch becomes irrelevant when even the 'basics' can't be accomplished. Yesterday was worse then the lower tiers of non - league.

After seeing what we did to Luton it is easy for the manager of the opposing team to prepare his team especially if he has play off aspirations ahead. You get them to watch a video and you work out how to play us. That way is not to give us any time on the ball. That is exactly what Sheffield did. There is no secret ingredient. It's down to skill and hard work. Yes we were second best yesterday why? Our goal was already achieved. There was little to fight for, which has been the same for some weeks as we have been a long way in front. Yesterday was disappointing as we know performances like that will seal our relegation from the Premier league next season. But this is not next season, this is now. Preparation for next season has not begun yet apart from seeing who won't make the step up. As a manager you learn more from a defeat than you do from a win

Yes, but we did nothing to change the way we played during the match, once we found out what Sheff Utd tactics were. We just carried on doing the same thing, Sheff Utd just carried on exploiting our non existent tactics.

What you are saying is if a team has tactics against us (a plan), we can't negate their tactics during the match, we just concede.

In the Premiership you need to have a Plan A, B, C etc.

Have not seen any of the game but let us consider a few points. Sheffield had to win to guarantee a play off spot, no doubt they were fired up for it. We were promoted fielding a team where a number of the players have not had a lot of game time this season and will probably not be with us next season. Finally we had won the title and it was a nothing game, were they going to dive into those tackles where you can get injured, and no doubt they had all consumed some celebratory drinks in the previous week.
So prepared to overlook this result and let's move on.
