apart from FoF I spend a reasonable about of time on a couple of "hobbies",
gardening:
we've not got a very big garden however when we moved in, about 6 years ago, the garden was mainly concrete slabs and falling-down sheds with a very small patch of weeds masquerading as a lawn. Its not looking too bad now, lawn is getting better and there are some nice borders that mainly look after themselves. its good to get out in the fresh air.

My other hobby is building model aircraft, Airfix etc., and while I'm building a model I post a build log on britmodeller.com which helps combine photography, photoshop (my electronic crayon of choice) and research of specific aircraft and/or, mainly WWII, history

here's my latest completed kit a "naked" Hurricane showing the materials that were used to build the aircraft aluminium, linen and plywood...

its not a toy, its a model  :dft011:

Somerset Fulham

I do a lot of trail running over the Mendips, its not only good for the soul but some of the sights are nothing short of incredible.

I also volunteer at the village larder as much as I can, its so sad to see how many families are so desperate even in a small relatively affluent area such as this.

That is an art form sir, and I applaud you.
My dad used to build model aircraft, radio-controlled, using balsawood for the frame and then something resembling rice paper for the body & wings, using alcohol to set and stretch the covering (not that I have any true idea of the tech terms as much as you will have). He also built me a radio-controlled WWII torpedo boat from wood that I used to sail on the round pond at Hyde Park (dunno if that is still open or even a place any longer) not too far to go as we lived at Hammy Broadway.

I always said that I would emulate him when I got older, but other things have always gotten in the way. I do still tinker with the old 'airfix' 1:72 models, as a kid I had dozens of them hanging on fishing line across the cieling of my bedroom.
Logical is just in the name - don't expect it has anything to do with my thought process, because I AM the man who sold the world.

What a talented group we have on here - this model is brilliant ! Will you eventually paint it ? If so more pics please. Would also love to see Mr White's metal sculptures- they sound very exciting. I'm surprised that White JC has any time to do any gardening . Maybe Oakshottcould make us all rich men with his analysis - So could Rodger but we will all probably end up doing a stretch.
Keep it coming  - this is the Fulham Family at it's best
