NFR: Another Midweek Joke

Not meaning to compete with FC Silver Fox, this is my contribution to your amusement......

A man and his wife were visiting the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. And as they were walking thru the museum, they came upon a portrait that had them totally confused.

The painting depicted three black men totally naked, sitting on a park bench. Two of the men had black penises and the man in the middle had a pink penis.

The museum curator happened to be walking by and noticed their confusion and offered his assessment of the work.

The curator went on and on for about half an hour about how, in his estimation, the pink penis represented the sexual emasculation of African American males in a predominantly white patriarchal society. He said that other scholars believed that the pink penis represented the cultural and social oppression expressed by gay men in a contemporary society.

The couple accepted his descriptions and the curator moved on.

Afterwards a southern man who was standing near by walked up to the couple and asked them if they would like to know what the painting was really about.

The couple, hearing his deep southern drawl, asked how he could possibly offer a better explanation than the museum curator.

"Because I'm the person who painted it", he replied. "In fact, there's no African American or homosexual depiction at all in this painting." "They're three Kentucky coal miners. The man in the middle just went home for lunch."
