I saw the beginning of Birmingham City v Sunderland last night. They quite rightly did the One Minute's silence before kick off and upon completion the City 'keeper, John Ruddy, took the trouble to go across to those representing the armed forces stood round the centre circle. He removed a glove and shook hands with everyone. I have never seen that before. Well done John.  :54:

Good to hear of players showing respect for others.

Fernhurst

Very good John,
Thank you for sharing Captain.
The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

Kemosabe

Good to hear.  Costs the player nothing, but the value to the representatives of the Armed Forces/RBL is inestimable.  A clear demonstration that he values the service that they have provided.

Some people are just incredibly impressive and obvious " good eggs" - John Ruddy clearly fits that category . Didn't Roy pick him in the England squad ?
As Fernhurst noted - Thanks for sharing Bog

I noticed yesterday that Tom did the same, a nice touch of class from our skipper  :54:
