You can't win a World Cup without a Fulham player in the team.
The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

Absolutely right, but do they ever learn? No!

On the bright side, I get to use that line for at least another four years, so every cloud has a silver lining.
Any fool can criticise, condemn and complain, and most fools do.

If Henderson had come to Fulham as Liverpool suggested in a deal for Clint Dempsey. We would be in the semi-final.

Yes, and Sir Alf was wise enough to drop him.

No he wasn't,let alone shooting decisive penalty.
England manager Alf Ramsey's full squad for the match against Germany in 1966 World Cup Final was as follows:

Gordon Banks – Goal Keeper
George Cohen – Right Back
Ray Wilson – Left Back
Nobby Stiles – Defensive Midfielder
Jack Charlton – Center Back
Bobby Moore  – Center Back
Alan Ball – Midfielder
Bobby Charlton – Attacking Midfielder
Geoff Hurst – Striker
Martin Peters – Midfielder
Roger Hunt – Striker

Of course, but first we need an English player in the Fulham team.

We have Cairney and Reed and only Reed in his current form might make the England 25 but probably wouldn't get much game time as he would be behind most CM in the squad.

bog

In the run up the 1966 WC there was massive newspaper pressure willing Ramsey, as he was in such good form, to give Johnny Haynes a game to see if he could make the squad but Ramsey refused. Johnny had his car accident in 1962 just as Ramsey took the England job.  :016:

I think  Scotland has first call on Cairney, never understood why they havn't made good use of him.
Reed ,yes but not quite up to it.
Obviously we need to hang on to the next promising youngster , for our own benefit and for England's.

Well in 3 1/2 years we'd be looking at some of our under 21 players who may make the England squad. I doubt any of our 3 English players are good enough from the first team. Stansfield, Wickens,  D'Auria-Henry, Parkes, Robinson, Lanquedoc, Godo, Macfarlane, Sanderson, may be eligible for England as well as a number of the younger players we have on our books. Of these Loupalo-Bi looks good.

Well Harvey Elliot is predicted to be member of 2026 so maybe that's the closest we'll get

Here's hoping that don't happen!!

However, would love to see Fabio in the full Portugese squad.
