I think a lot depends on who you have seen. Never saw Pele but have immense respect for the guy. In 1986, I don't think Argentina would have won the World Cup without Maradona. Blotted his copy book being captain of one of the most cynical, cheating piles of dung in 1990. His career went a bit pear shaped after.

Messi and Ronaldo, great players. Messi wins it for me as he didn't play for Man Ure 🤣.

But let's face it, De Stefano, Puscas. How good were they. Maybe better than a lot of people who big the current guys up. Didn't have the pitches etc we have now. So always going to be objective.

Eusebio the best in my opinion . Cruyff would rank amongst  the elite.

Had he lived possibly Duncan Edwards.

As for top goal  scorers  two would rank  up there  from England , Greaves and Dean.  Muller from Germany.
