I presume we were unable to turn Duffy's loan into a permanent transfer.

With Soares only being a loan deal until the end of the season, I was wondering what was in it for the player. Why move for such a short space of time from somewhere he's not playing to somewhere else where he still wouldn't be first choice? Did Silva promise Soares a place in the starting XI at Kenny's expense? (Not a welcome thought - in the face of stiff competition, he's my player of the season thus far.) Otherwise, I can't think what incentive Soares would have. What's the point in his switching for four months if he's not going to play? If the move has stalled, perhaps it's just as well. Just need to keep fingers crossed Kenny stays fit until the end of the season.
