15/02/23...Scott Parker in the Last 16 of The Champions League

[Steeeeeeeeeed]

Just a reminder, In Brugges FC Vs Benfica on Wednesday.
Scott Parker could be Champions League Winner in 7 games...

😁

[Sloth]

Good for him I guess?

[RaySmith]

Good for him I guess?

Yes, well done Scott.

[St Eve]

Mmmmm. He has won one game in seven so far in the league

[lamby]

I actually think his game plan suits a knock-out style format where his team is the underdog - giving his team the most chance to go through.

And I think that enough time has gone now - the 'pain' has been well and truly erased by the Marco Silva era. I can now think of him as a Fulham person, and as such, I want him to do well.

[Woolly Mammoth]

Good Luck to him

Excellent interview in the Telegraph yesterday;

Comes across very well in my opinion.

[Thailand Mick]

Good luck to Dennis Odoi

[filham]

I guess Parker's football tactics will soon be forgotten and then his cv will be read and include Championship promotions as a manager for Fulham and Bournmouth along with a playing career for England and a few top clubs. He will soon be in demand again.

Sadly I couldn't read it as it was behind a paywall.

I almost lost interest in it aswell after putting up with his dross. It all started at Charlton away in January 2020. That was the first time I've ever seen a Fulham time be instructed pre match to take a point rather than go for the win and I could never forgive him after that

I managed to read the link pasted here so thanks for that.  Nothing I read made me change my mind about him.  Obviously this is only my opinion but I think his ego is greater than his ability as a manager.  It will be interesting to see how Club Bruges do this evening.

[Steeeeeeeeeed]

Still 0-0 after 30 mins, Odoi has got a yellow.

[Carborundum]

Well I have to hand it to Scott Parker for the timing of his substitutions.  Took Dennis Odoi off at exactly the right time.....for me to therefore completely lose interest in Bruges, hence flick over just in time to see Chelsea concede a howler.  Whatever Enzo Fernandez brings to the party for 106m, it's not pace or the nous to take a yellow for the team.

[Craven Mad]

Benefica are absolutely dominating. Unusually for Scott Parker's teams, Brugge don't seem to know how to attack at all and are lucky to only be one behind.

[Pluto]

Going as poorly as expected

[Craven Mad]

Annnndddd after a decent spell of keeping possession (ie passing it around aimlessly for 10 minutes), a defensive lapse is pounced upon and Benfica are 2-0 up.

I have to turn this off, it's giving me PTSD.

Highlight of the game: Dennis Odoi starting a Champions League game at CDM. Legend.

[H4usuallysitting]

I think that's one win in 8 for parkerball

[SerbianLad]

Surely he's in danger of getting the sack?

Chelsea also lost, Potter potentialy in trouble too? Mudryk again looked really bad from what I've seen (watched both that game and City-Arsenal at the same time), decent pace, not much else apart from that. Not worth the money they paid for him.

[Steeeeeeeeeed]

Odoi had a goal disallowed too...
