Old Sod's Army- Tribute to George.

I may be a bit behind here but I intentionally missed the build up to the Ukraine game and tuned in just before the national anthems. Then I saw all involved in the game assemble round the centre circle preparing to pay a minute's tribute to someone who had passed away. I was very surprised and proud to see this turned out to be for our own George Cohen.  049:gif

Having seen George's debut and final game for Fulham I have to admit to becoming quite emotional. Best part of the match for me.

Unexpected and moving.

I wasn't expecting that tribute but noted that it was England's first home fixture since George's sad passing. As one of the 11 who won the World Cup, entirely appropriate and well observed.
