Is Yunus Musah heading to the Premier League? Fulham interested in signing USMNT star & are confident of keeping Antonee Robinson away from Man City

Fulham are interested in signing USMNT midfield star Yunus Musah who is also wanted by Serie A giants AC Milan.

    Fulham eye move for Musah
Milan want to sign the USMNT star
Fulham want to offer Robinson new deal

WHAT HAPPENED? Milan have already approached Valencia with an official offer of €17 million (£14.6m/$18.6m) for the midfielder, but Fulham are hoping to land him in the summer and are planning to place a bid of €20 million,(£17.2m/$21.8m), according to The Sun.

THE BIGGER PICTURE: The 20-year-old spent seven years at Arsenal's youth system before heading to Spain to join Valencia. He has since made over 100 appearances for the club and has 27 international caps under his belt.

AND WHAT'S MORE: The Cottagers will go all out for Musah if Joao Palhinha moves out of the club in the summer. They are also planning to offer another USA international Antonee Robinson a new deal who has drawn interest from Premier League champions Manchester City, AC Milan and Marseille.

WHAT NEXT? Marco Silva, who led the club to a 10th-place finish in the Premier League last season, would hope that the club can manage to seal the deal for Musah as the Cottagers look to cement their status as a mid-table club.

West Ham: Moyes may "move on" from signing "amazing" star
West Ham may be priced out of a move for the 27-year-old midfielder.

West Ham United could move on from their pursuit of Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha after the Cottagers have placed a huge price tag on the 27-year-old, according to Paul Brown.

Do West Ham want Joao Palhinha?
Now that Declan Rice has almost finalised a £105m deal to Arsenal, the Hammers, who must have been preparing for this moment for some time, will need to find a replacement.

The Hammers captain will be sorely missed at the London Stadium having made a staggering 245 appearances for the club at just 24, and West Ham will have to make sure they have a proper succession plan in place.

One man who has been seen as someone who could fill the void is Fulham's Palhinha, who was mightily impressive in his debut Premier League season last term.

The major stumbling block for a potential deal is Fulham's unwillingness to part ways with their Portuguese star, and the Cottagers have reportedly slapped a staggering £90m price tag on their midfielder.

According to journalist Paul Brown, David Moyes may turn his attention elsewhere after seeing the eye-watering fee it would take to bring Palhinha to the club.

Speaking to Football FanCast, Brown said: "Fulham are very, very determined not to let Palhinha leave. They've quoted a massive fee to try and ward people off. It may be that West Ham move on really from that situation.

"I don't think it's hugely likely they'll be able to get him now. I think Fulham will dig their heels in and won't be willing to accept the kind of fee that West Ham think is reasonable."

This will come as a blow to West Ham who need reinforcements if they are to improve upon their 14th-placed Premier League finish - just six points away from the relegation zone - while also trying to compete in the Europa League.

If Palhinha was perhaps a few years younger, then such a deal may be more worthwhile, but his advancing age means that there would be little to no possible sell-on value for the Irons, and they would perhaps need to replace him again in several years time.

Why do West Ham want Joao Palhinha?
When looking at his numbers, it is incredibly obvious why West Ham are so interested in Palhinha.

The defensive midfielder was quietly one of the top performers in the division last season, sitting in the top 1% of Premier League midfielders for tackles (4.26), tackles won (2.40), dribblers tackled (2.06) and tackles in the midfield (1.88) and the attacking (0.7) third per 90 last season.

Put simply, he's an absolute defensive machine.

Described by teammate Aleksandar Mitrovic as an "amazing, amazing player", he has adapted to life in the Premier League seamlessly and, quite honestly, merits his Fulham valuation.

Fulham: Igor Julio holds transfer talks with Silva
The Brazilian has spoken with Fulham's boss.

Fiorentina defender Igor Julio has "already spoken to Marco Silva" about joining Fulham, but his potential transfer has now "seems to have vanished".

Will Fulham sign anyone?
The Whites enjoyed a successful first full campaign back in the Premier League following 2022 promotion from the Championship, having finished mid-table and above the likes of west London rivals Chelsea.

Fulham also briefly pushed for a European qualification spot but fell just short of Brentford, Aston Villa and Liverpool in that regard.

The foundations are certainly there but Silva may face a fight to keep his best players, with both Joao Palhinha and Antonee Robinson attracting interest.

In terms of incomings, Fulham could strengthen in a variety of key areas, with Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse, Japan international Ao Tanaka, Coventry City's Viktor Gyokeres, Fenerbache defender Ferdi Kadioglu and Roma centre-back Roger Ibanez all being targeted.

It is claimed Fulham may also make a move for Chelsea forward Callum Hudson-Odoi, as Mauricio Pochettino's side are prepared to sell for just £15 million this summer (The Guardian).

Another player to have been linked with a move to Craven Cottage is Igor, but according to a new report out of Italy, it appears he won't be joining the club despite behind-scenes discussions.

Vocegiallorossa.it, in collaboration with Firenzeviola.it, claims Fulham have been chasing a deal for Igor and he has even "already spoken" to Silva about joining.

However, as the Whites move on to alternative defensive targets who could sign on more "favourable terms", a transfer for Igor now "seems to have vanished".

He was initially the Cottagers' main target, according to this report, but it appears Fulham could swoop for a rival Serie A defender instead.

Who is Igor Julio?
The Brazilian ranked in Firoentina's top three for tackles made, interceptions and clearances completed per 90 in the Italian top flight - standing out as one of La Viola's key defensive assets (WhoScored).

Igor also has just 12 months remaining on his Fiorentina deal, and as he enters the final year of his contract, it is reasonable to believe the defender could be available for a fairly cheap fee.

The 25-year-old was one of Fiorentina's most selected players last season - even sitting sixth in their squad listing for most Serie A minutes played over 2022/23.

Igor, who has been described as a "crazy" asset for Fiorentina, may well have been an astute signing for Fulham based on these stats, but this latest report from Italy indicates he won't be signing any time soon.

Silva 'set to commit long-term future to Fulham'
Marco Silva is ready to commit his long-term future to Fulham after rejecting lucrative approaches from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal, according to a report from the i's Mark Douglas this afternoon.

The I's story confirms our article yesterday that the Portuguese head coach had turned down another offer from Al-Hilal, who have now confirmed the appointment of Jorge Jesus as their new manager. Silva was reportedly offered around £17m a year by the Public Investment Fund-backed club, who signed Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves in a deal worth a reported £47m. There were worries over whether Silva, who had been waiting to ascertain the extent of Fulham's ambition ahead of the new campaign, would leave Craven Cottage – but the i says that he is now prepared to put pen to paper on the long-term contract that the Fulham hierarchy have offered.

Silva believes he still has unfinished business in the English game, having been sacked by Everton, and is also acutely aware that some observers question his loyalty after entertaining approaches from Goodison Park whilst he was in charge of Watford. The 45 year-old is also excited by the prospect of building on two superb seasons in SW6, having led Fulham back to the top flight at the first attempt by winning the Championship in style after succeeding Scott Parker. He then steered the Whites to tenth last season, making a mockery of pre-season predictions of a season of struggle.

Crystal Palace plot Bosman move for Willian
Crystal Palace will look to sign 34-year-old Brazilian winger Willian on a free transfer after his contract with Fulham expired.

According to a report by TEAMtalk, Willian is the subject of interest from Crystal Palace. The Brazilian winger is a free agent after failing to sign a new contract with Fulham. And the Eagles want to sign the Premier League winner in a Bosman move in the summer transfer window.

Willian is a well-travelled winger who has spent most of his professional career in London. The 34-year-old began his playing days at Corinthians before moving to Europe by joining Shakhtar Donetsk. And he rose to prominence during his stint in Ukraine before seeing his stock skyrocket at Chelsea.

The Brazilian winger enjoyed a memorable seven-year stint with Chelsea, winning two Premier League titles. But he wandered around for a couple of years after leaving the West London club, with spells at Arsenal and Corinthians not working out. However, his fortunes improved again after returning to London by joining Fulham last summer.

The experienced winger was pivotal for Fulham as they clinched a top-half finish this past season. And he managed a solid tally of five goals and six assists in 30 appearances. But Willian's stint with Fulham has ended after just one season, with his contract expiring on Friday. And with the Cottagers failing to tie him to a new deal, he is bracing himself for a new adventure.

The Premier League-winning Brazilian winger wants to remain in London despite quitting Fulham. And Crystal Palace will offer him the opportunity to continue his association with London clubs. With the veteran attacker enjoying a second wind this past season, he can be an asset for Crystal Palace.

The Eagles are keen on returning to the top half of the Premier League table after a topsy-turvy ride last season. And the 34-year-old can be a short-term solution for Crystal Palace, thus making him a viable target. But they have also shown interest in other attackers, including Arnaut Danjuma.

Willian's pedigree in the Premier League makes him an attractive option for Crystal Palace. And it will be interesting to see if the Eagles succeed in keeping the Brazilian winger in London heading into the 2022/23 season.

Fulham join Tottenham Hotspur in the race for AS Roma's Roger Ibanez

According to Italian outlet FirenzeViola.it, Tottenham Hotspur have been joined by English side Fulham in the race for talented Roma defender Roger Ibanez.

Throughout the month of June, various transfer links have consistently mentioned Tottenham as one of the frontrunners for Ibanez's services. However, the Brazilian has still not made the move to North London.

Spurs could potentially utilize Ben Davies as part of a swap deal to secure Ibanez's services. However, talks with Roma are not going to be easy unless the player pushes for a move from his side.

Fulham are now ready to enter the race for Ibanez's coveted signature. It appears that the Cottagers initially had their sights set on securing Igor Julio from Fiorentina. Nevertheless, their pursuit of the Fiorentina star proved unsuccessful, prompting a shift in focus to the AS Roma centre-back.

For Tottenham, the prospect of signing a player of Roger Ibanez's calibre would undoubtedly bolster their defensive ranks. The Brazilian has showcased his talent and versatility during his time with AS Roma.

With Fulham now entering the race, Spurs may face stiffer competition in their pursuit of Ibanez. However, the allure of playing in the Premier League and potentially being part of Tottenham's ambitious project under a new manager could sway the Brazilian's decision in their favour.

If a swap deal involving Ben Davies were to materialize, it would add an intriguing dimension to the negotiations. Davies, an experienced left-back, could provide Roma with a reliable defensive option while strengthening Tottenham's chances of securing Ibanez's services.

Ultimately, the outcome of this transfer saga remains uncertain. While Fulham has emerged as a potential contender, Tottenham's interest in Ibanez has been clear for some time. The decision rests in the hands of the Brazilian defender.

Fulham reject chance to hand Premier League return to relegated USMNT ace Brendan Aaronson
The former Red Bull Salzburg star never really got going during his maiden campaign in England but it appears that he still has admirers on the continent despite Leeds United's relegation

Fulham reject chance to hand Premier League return to relegated USMNT ace Brendan Aaronson

The former Red Bull Salzburg star never really got going during his maiden campaign in England but it appears that he still has admirers on the continent despite Leeds United's relegation

Two further managers could not arrest the slide, with Javi Gracia having become the second coaching casualty of the season just four matches from the end of the campaign before Sam Allardyce eventually took them down after failing to win any of his games in charge. In all, Aaaronson contributed a solitary strike in 36 appearances during his maiden term in the English top flight.

After three managers were unable to beat the drop, it is clear that several stars will likely be moved on in the current months, especially with a host of players having relegation clauses in their contracts. Among the players believed to be available for a move this summer is Aaronson, with Fulham having been linked with a potential move to bring him to Craven Cottage on loan.

The former Red Bull Salzburg ace had been mentioned as a potential reinforcement for Marco Silva's squad in the number 10 position, with the Daily Mail having reported that the West London club had been in discussions over a potential deal. The Cottagers had been a surprise in the Premier League last season, finishing in a respectable 10th place under the Portuguese coach.

However, it now looks as though this potential opening for the New Jersey-born talent has closed, with the The Telegraph reporting that a move to Union Berlin could be on the cards instead. The Bundesliga team defied the odds to qualify for the Champions League last term, with the Urs Fischer's outfit the latest to consider a swoop, according to the report.

As was the case in terms of a hypothetical switch to Fulham, Leeds United would not be in a particularly strong position to resist the overtures of the German club due to the relegation clause in place in the player's contract. Despite failing to ever really hit the heights expected during his first campaign in England, it appears that his stock still remains high on the continent due to his performances with his previous employers.

The situation also remains complicated due to the fact that 49ers Enterprises are still waiting for final approval to take over the Elland Road club from the EFL. In taking over the reigns at the club, they will assume 100 per cent control from former chairman Andrea Radrizzani once they pass the English Football League's owners' and directors' test.

Although usually a formality, the process can also take a number of weeks to complete. Previously, former Leeds United star Carlton Palmer explained that the EFL Championship club will likely lose Aaaronson for at least this coming season due to the clauses in his contract.

He told Football League World: "It appears that Brenden has a clause in his contract that allows him to leave the club on loan should Leeds get relegated. I would expect the player to depart on loan, if not permanently, this summer given his salary."

Report: Tottenham Hotspur now want to sign £17m 'aggressive' midfielder
Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha.

According to The Sun (print edition 1/7; page 67), Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Joao Palhinha from London and Premier League rivals Fulham in the summer transfer window.

The report in the British tabloid has claimed that West Ham United are also keen on the 27-year-old Portugal international defensive midfielder,  who is "aggressive" according to former Manchester United winger Nani in Antena1 in November 2020.

Could Tottenham Hotspur sign Joao Palhinha from Fulham?
In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur could be able to sign Joao Palhinha from London and Premier League rivals Fulham in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham are a big club who regularly challenge for the top four in the Premier League table.

And it was as recently as 2019 when Spurs reached the final of the UEFA Champions League.

Leaving Fulham for Spurs would be a step up for Palhinha.

Fulham paid £17 million for the 27-year-old in the summer of 2022 (The Sun), and the Cottagers will surely want much more for him now.

While there is speculation that the Cottagers could ask for £90 million for  Palhinha, it is unlikely that any club, including Tottenham, would pay that much for the Portugal international.

However, a bid in the region of £40-50 million could be enough for Spurs to secure the services of Palhinha.

Meanwhile, The Telegraph have reported that Eric Dier does not want to leave Tottenham in the summer transfer window, while Spurs are open to selling Ivan Perisic.

Fulham: Whites in talks for Ibanez
The Brazilian is their "first choice" for defence.

Fulham are currently in talks to sign Roma defender Roger Ibanez this summer, who is now their "first choice" to strengthen in defence.

Who will Fulham sign this summer?
Marco Silva's side enjoyed an exceptional first full campaign back in the big time following their Championship promotion last year.

Fulham chased Europe for a good portion of the 22/23 season, eventually missing out to Brentford, Liverpool and Aston Villa, whilst also finishing above west London rivals Chelsea.

Major clubs across England, as a result, have taken a liking to some of Silva's star players - with left-back Antonee Robinson and Joao Palhinha attracting real interest.

Fulham, though, could charge as much as £90 million for Palhinha and don't seem likely to be bullied around in this summer transfer market.

In terms of incomings, there has been no shortage of names linked with moves to Craven Cottage in the last two weeks, including Southampton star James Ward-Prowse, Japan international Ao Tanaka, Coventry City's Viktor Gyokeres, Fenerbahce defender Ferdi Kadioglu and Roma centre-back Ibanez.

Sharing an update on Fulham's links to the latter player, a report out of Italy has some news for supporters.

Vocegiallorossa.it, in collaboration with Firenzeviola.it, claims Ibanez is now Fulham's "first choice" to strengthen their backline. It is believed the Whites are already negotiating to sign him, and with Roma eager to sell him for profit, they're looking to English clubs.

The report claims only Premier League sides can pay Ibanez's price tag, which is said to be around £26 million, and barring any last-minute surprises, he is set to be sold this summer.

It's added that Fulham are the team most interested in the South American centre-back.

What's been said about Roger Ibanez?
The 24-year-old totalled Roma's highest rate of interceptions per 90 in the Italian top flight last season, with only Bryan Cristante averaging more successful challenges per match (WhoScored).

Ibanez stood out as one of their best defenders, at least going by the numbers, with manager Jose Mourinho calling him an "untouchable" at one point.

"When we went to Seville to face Real Betis earlier this season, the morning of the game I saw him and thought it was going to be impossible for him to play. And yet he played," said Mourinho.

"He's one who always fronts up. When we win, we all win together. When we lose, we all lose together. For me, he is untouchable."

Fulham target now 'close to leaving' his club – Whites are 'pressing' for his signing
Even though Fulham's interest in Fiorentina centre-back Igor seems to have cooled down a little lately, today there's an interesting story coming from TuttoMercatoWeb.

The outlet features a piece claiming the 25-year-old 'now seems to be close to leaving' the Serie A side.

When speaking of the interested clubs, TuttoMercatoWeb claims there are two clubs who are 'most pressing' for the signing. Those are Fulham and Villarreal.

Even though Nice had previously been linked to Igor, the outlet sounds pretty sure it's the Whites and the Yellow Submarines who push harder at this time, and 'there may be news in the next few days'.

The links between Fulham and Igor have been on since the start of May, when it was first claimed that the West London side have been 'making concrete moves' for the signing. A couple of weeks ago, it was even claimed the player already spoke to Marco Silva for the transfer.

What seemed to have slowed down the chase is that the Whites also have AS Roma's Roger Ibañez as a target and are only likely to move for one of them. And although recent reports said there was an advance for the Giallorossi player, TuttoMercatoWeb now make it sound like the Fiorentina defender – who would be cheaper – wasn't forgotten.

Spurs: Tottenham could hijack Solomon bid
The Israeli has admirers in north London.

Tottenham Hotspur could hijack Fulham's free transfer bid to sign forward Manor Solomon following his impressive Craven Cottage loan spell, according to reliable journalist Nizaar Kinsella.

Who will Spurs sign after Maddison?
Spurs, much to the delight of new manager Ange Postecoglou, have moved swiftly for some of their top targets in this last fortnight.

Guglielmo Vicario joins from Empoli to shore up their goalkeeping options, while chairman Daniel Levy also managed to sign playmaker James Maddison from Leicester City for £40m.

These two transfers, coupled with the permanent signing of Dejan Kulusevski from Juventus, mark a solid start to this summer transfer window and reports suggest they're also after a star centre-half.

Edmond Tapsoba of Bayer Leverkusen, Wolfsburg's Micky van de Ven and others have been linked with moves to north London while there is a belief that Postecoglou wishes to add attacking reinforcements as well.

The departures of both Arnaut Danjuma, who has returned to parent club Villarreal, and winger Lucas Moura on a Bosman have left Spurs slightly short of wide forwards.

As a result, the north Londoners are said to be keen on a move for Shakhtar Donetsk's Solomon, coming after a FIFA ruling allowed players to leave Ukraine freely amid the ongoing war with Russia.

The legislation allows Solomon to halt his contract, without approval from Shakhtar, and move wherever he pleases - meaning Tottenham can sign him for free.

As a result, The Evening Standard and Kinsella claim Spurs are "interested in hijacking" Fulham's "free transfer bid" for the Israel winger, as the Whites are also keen on him following his 2022/23 loan spell in west London.

While not much is added beyond that, it does appear Postecoglou and Levy are eyeing fresh faces in the forward areas.

Who is Manor Solomon?
Solomon scored in five straight games between February and March, bagging four overall in the league, with the 23-year-old impressing during his temporary Fulham spell last campaign.

The winger has also been heralded by sections of the Israeli press, as sports journalist Josh Halickman describes Solomon as an "exceptional athlete" and puts him up there with his country's most influential sportspeople of recent times.

Fulham boss Marco Silva also praised Solomon for his flair and capability in one-on-one situations.

"He has scored some important goals for us," said Silva.

"More importantly for him because it has boosted his confidence and he is different from the other players in what he has.

"His one-v-one situation is really strong and coming from the left he is important."

Fulham pressing ahead with Ibañez move
Reports from Italy on Sunday suggest that Fulham are making good progress in their bid to bring Roma centre back Roger Ibañez to Craven Cottage this summer.

The Whites have been encouraged by the reception that their initial enquiry over the 24 year-old centre defender, who has swiftly become Fulham's 'first choice' target as they look to strengthen Marco Silva's back line. Roma are ready to sell the Brazilian defender, who has made 149 first-team appearances in three years in the Italian capital, but are looking to make a profit that would help find Jose Mourinho's reshaping of his own squad ahead of the new Serie A season.

Fulham face competition from a number of Premier League clubs, including Aston Villa, and Vocegiallorossa.it reports that Roma believe only English sides will be able to meet their valuation of Ibañez, which is said to be between £20m and £26m. The Cottagers are said to be the side at the front of the queue at present – having convinced Roma of their concrete interested in Ibanez, who led the Italian top flight in terms of the highest number of succession interceptions last season and is seen as an ideal fit for Silva's system.

Spurs set to sign Solomon
Manor Solomon, who spent last season on loan with Fulham, is set to become Ange Postecoglou's third signing as Tottenham manager after the winger agreed personal terms over a move to Spurs.

The Israeli international scored five goals in as many games during a strong spell at Craven Cottage but he has opted to move on this summer – although the proposed deal is still subject to sorting out an ongoing legal wrangle between Solomon's parent club, Shakhtar Donetsk, and FIFA. The 23 year-old scored five times in 24 appearances for Fulham as Marco Silva's side finished tenth in the top flight and believes the time is now right to test himself at a higher level.

Solomon's representatives have struck a deal with Spurs over his contract in north London and his medical should take place at Hotspur Way during the coming week.

Tottenham agree deal for free transfer of former Fulham forward Manor Solomon
Tottenham Hotspur have agreed terms with Manor Solomon, who is expected to join on a free transfer with a medical due in the coming days.

The 23-year-old will join from Shakhtar Donetsk after spending last season on loan in the Premier League with Fulham, where he scored five goals in all competitions.

FIFA's Annex 7 allowed the Israel international to leave Shakhtar for Fulham last year due to the war in Ukraine and the ruling has been extended until June 2024.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Spurs will bring in the forward as a free agent, as long as the move goes as expected with Shakhtar and FIFA, after agreeing personal terms.

Shakhtar are not happy about losing any players on a free transfer, with Solomon having a year left on his contract and chief executive Sergei Palkin says they will take Spurs to court if they bring him in for no fee.

Palkin told ESPN: 'I contacted Solomon and his agent and invited him back to our club. I said "you can play all the games in Champions League, you will be in the starting XI" but he doesn't want to move and I believe he will stay in England.

'Finally, where he will go, I don't know. In any case, if you go to Tottenham, we will deal with Tottenham in court in this case. Everything comes to a simple situation: it sounds like unjust enrichment.

'Can you imagine, we pay big money for this player and finally Tottenham receives him for free? It is not fair in respect of our club. We will definitely go to court and we will fight for ourselves.

'I would like to send a message to those clubs who are trying to sign our players without paying a transfer fee: Shakhtar will file claims for unjust enrichment against players or clubs who have enriched themselves and benefitted by obtaining a financial advantage.

'We believe these clubs who enrich themselves at Shakhtar's expense will be obliged to pay restitutions. Those clubs should understand what they do when they decide to sign our players.'

Solomon scored 22 goals in 106 appearances for Shakhtar before moving to Fulham where he played 24 times in all competitions in an injury-hit campaign.

Manor Solomon to Tottenham transfer: Verbal agreement, Fulham stance, Shakhtar decision
Manor Solomon looks set to become a Tottenham Hotspur player this summer after verbally agreeing to join Ange Postecoglou's side ahead of the 2023/24 campaign

Manor Solomon is set to sign for Tottenham Hotspur after reaching a verbal agreement with the club, football.london understands. The Israeli winger enjoyed an impressive stint on loan at Fulham from Shakhtar Donetsk after FIFA ruled that foreign players in Ukraine could suspend their contracts following Russia's invasion of the country.

The ruling still exists now and Solomon has attracted interest from the Cottagers and Spurs ahead of the summer window. The 23-year-old admitted he would decide his future after Israel's Euro 2024 qualifiers against Belarus and Andorra.

Solomon now looks to have made up his mind as he closes in on a switch to Spurs. football.london has rounded up the latest news around Solomon's imminent transfer to Tottenham.

Tottenham reach Solomon agreement
Manor Solomon is set to sign for Tottenham Hotspur after reaching a verbal agreement with the club, football.london understands. Fabrizio Romano also broke the news on Twitter as the transfer guru posted: "Deal in place as medical tests have been scheduled for next week.

"Solomon agreed personal terms. He's joining Spurs as free agent — if all goes to plan with Shakhtar and FIFA rules."

Fulham stance
Solomon said he would decide on his club future after a summer holiday.

The 23-year-old Israeli winger spent this season on loan at Fulham, after a FIFA ruling allowed foreign players to leave Shakhtar Donetsk indefinitely, amid the war in Ukraine. Solomon performed well for Marco Silva's side, scoring in five straight games between February and March.

Solomon scored the winner in Israel's Euro 2024 qualifying win over Andorra on Monday night, and Standard Sport understands that he is now heading to Ibiza for a seven-day holiday.

Other clubs are interested in signing Solomon, with Spurs and Fulham the frontrunners. However, Fulham must restart negotiations to secure a permanent deal because his spell this season was an emergency loan with no option to extend.

Shakhtar Donetsk decision
Shakhtar are unhappy at the prospect of Solomon leaving for free and their chief executive Sergei Palkin has threatened to sue Spurs, as per the Evening Standard. "Where he (Solomon) will go, I don't know," he told ESPN.

"In any case, if you go to Tottenham, we will deal with Tottenham in court in this case. Everything comes to a simple situation: it sounds like unjust enrichment."

'Here we go' for Tottenham with 'agreement reached' to sign Fulham attacker in surprise move
Tottenham are on the verge of signing Israel winger Manor Solomon, who spent last season on loan at Premier League rivals Fulham.

Solomon made 24 appearances in all competitions for Fulham, netting five goals in that time. He did not always start for the Craven Cottage club, but he did impress in February and March as he bagged goals in four consecutive league games.

The left winger excels at cutting inside on his right foot and curling the ball past the goalkeeper into the far corner. Indeed, he managed such goals against Leeds United (in the FA Cup) and against Wolves in the Prem.

Solomon's performances must have impressed Tottenham as they put themselves 'at the front of the queue' to sign him in May, as per The Athletic.

And now Fabrizio Romano has provided a big update on the transfer pursuit. The journalist has declared on Twitter that Spurs have 'reached a verbal agreement' with Solomon ahead of signing the attacker.

The two parties have sorted out a five-year contract, and Spurs have booked Solomon in for a medical for next week. As a result, Romano has given the move his customary 'here we go' treatment.

Following the end of his Fulham loan, the 23-year-old has returned to Shakhtar Donetsk. His contract with the Ukrainian side runs until December 31, but Spurs are hoping to sign him on a free transfer thanks to a FIFA ruling.

Ever since Russia's invasion of Ukraine, FIFA have allowed foreign players in Ukraine to leave as free agents. And this could now see Solomon become part of Ange Postecoglou's squad for no transfer fee.

Manor Solomon poised to join Tottenham
In a follow up tweet, Romano adds that the transfer has been sorted out by super agent Pini Zahavi, who is a compatriot of Solomon's. Zahavi represents well-known players such as Christopher Nkunku, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Robert Lewandowski and Gabri Veiga.

Solomon is close to becoming the third new face in the Spurs squad. The club have already captured goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli for £17.1m and signed James Maddison from Leicester City for £40m.

Spurs have also signed loanees Dejan Kulusevski and Pedro Porro on permanent deals.

As Postecoglou generally operates with a 4-3-3 formation, Solomon will attempt to gain one of the two positions either side of Harry Kane – as long as the England striker stays put.

This will be a tough task for Solomon though, as he will face competition from Son Heung-min, Kulusevski, Richarlison and potentially Maddison too.

FulView for June 2023
Discussion in 'Fulham FC News and Notes' started by MicahMan

Fulham doesn't play in competitive matches in June, but we thankfully still have a site sponsor despite this being the most quiet of months for Fulham. Thanks @BarryWhite for supporting the site through this sleepy month!

Sadly the biggest event in this forum in June was the passing of HatterDon. He was beloved by all here and I miss hearing his thoughts on Fulham, sport, and life. He is irreplaceable and things just won't be the same without him.

Fulham had a few players leave the club after reaching the ends of their contracts. The most significant of these was Wembley hero, Joe Bryan. It seems that Fulham is rarely quick out of the blocks when it comes to the transfer window and that is holding true again. While some teams have made some big signings, Fulham's news has been mostly yet-to-be-fulfilled rumors. The most significant news was that initial negotiations between Willian and Fulham have not been fruitful. It remains to be seen if things can be worked out. With not much positive happening, I can't deny a slowly tightening knot in the pit of my stomach.

On the plus side (I think), we got to see the new kit and sponsor just as the month closed out. A generally respectable design and I'll find the asymmetrical shoulders far less offensive if I don't associate them with a relegation come June 2024!

Tottenham Hotspur Are Big Admirers Of This Fulham Midfielder: Decent Option For Ange?
In a recent print edition, The Sun (1 July, Page 67) revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are big admirers of Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha. It has been stated that Spurs are keeping tabs on the Portuguese talent ahead of a potential move this summer.

Palhinha's Impressive Run Of Form In Premier League Football
Palhinha enjoyed a solid campaign at Craven Cottage recently after he put in several dominant displays for the Cottagers in the middle of the park. The Portuguese sensation made 40 appearances for the London club last season, finding the back of the net four times for them across all competitions.

The 27-year-old proved himself to be a valuable contributor at the heart of Fulham's midfield based on his average of 4.2 tackles, 1.3 interceptions and 1.7 clearances per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He was even excellent when distributing possession from midfield as he completed 83% of his attempted passes in the top tier of English football (stats via whoscored).

His current deal at Fulham will run out in the summer of 2027. Hence, it won't be easy for Spurs to lure him away from Craven Cottage in this off-season.

Will Palhinha Be A Decent Option For Tottenham Hotspur Boss Angelos Postecoglu?
Palhinha is a solid tackler of the ball and can make some important interceptions for his team at the centre of the park. He usually clears the danger when required and can strike the ball with power from long range.

The Portuguese midfield ace is a tidy passer of the ball as well but needs to add a few assists to his game. He is primarily a defensive midfielder but can also function as a central defender if told to do so.

Palhinha will no doubt enhance the quality of Tottenham's first XI and increase competition for places within Angelos Postecoglu's match-day squad. He has already proven himself to be a reliable performer in the Premier League and won't take any time to settle into life at the North London club. Furthermore, the Portugal international might help Tottenham compete for a top-four place next season.

At 27, Palhinha is about to enter his prime which makes him an excellent option for Spurs to pursue during this summer transfer window.

Fulham keen on Yunus Musah
Fulham are interested in acquiring the services of 20-year-old Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah ahead of next season.

According to The Sun, Fulham are keen on having Yunus Musah in their ranks and have been making moves to sign the 20-year-old from Valencia. Musah has been putting in some impressive performances of late and there is a lot of interest in his services.

He was part of the Arsenal youth academy back in the day before joining Valencia. He made the switch to Spain in 2019 and in a year's time, the American international made it into Valencia's first team.

Musah has since featured in a total of 108 matches and also has 8 goal contributions. He has gone from strength to strength over the past few seasons. He made 37 appearances last season and was on the pitch for over 2300 minutes.

The 20-year-old is a versatile player who has featured in positions all over the pitch. His versatility and exceptional performances over the past few seasons have attracted the attention of Fulham boss Marco Silva.

Silva's Fulham managed to finish 10th last season and he is now keen on building on it. The Cottagers are looking for reinforcement as they look to take the next step. They have their eyes on Musah and do have the funds needed to acquire his services.

While his contract with the Spanish club runs until the summer of 2026, the American international is expected to be on the move in the ongoing window. Valencia are ready to sell but only for the right price.

The Cottagers are preparing a £20 million bid to acquire the services of the 20-year-old. They believe he has all the qualities to fit into their system and since he has played for England at the youth level, Musah has good knowledge of English football.

Meanwhile, AC Milan have been interested in the American international for a while now. While Milan are keen on having him in their ranks, they are yet to reach the asking price. And, Valencia will sell the player to the highest bidder which at this point in time seems to be Fulham.

Fabrizio Romano News: Tottenham Pursuit of Manor Solomon
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Tottenham have agreed personal terms with former Fulham man Manor Solomon.

Fabrizio Romano Supplies Tottenham Update as Personal Terms Agreed With Manor Solomon
Tottenham Poised to Sign Shakhtar Donetsk Winger Manor Solomon

With new manager Ange Postecloglu at the helm, Tottenham have got their summer rebuild off to a flyer as Solomon could become their fifth signing of the window following the news that Pedro Porro's stay in North London is becoming permanent.

Romano tweeted: "Tottenham have reached verbal agreement with Manor Solomon, here we go!"

"Deal in place as medical tests have been scheduled for next week.

"Solomon agreed personal terms.

"He's joining Spurs as free agent — if all goes to plan with Shakhtar and FIFA rules."

How Did Solomon Get On at Fulham?
The winger impressed while on loan at the Cottagers despite limited game time. He had to undergo knee surgery at the start of the season which saw him miss 16 Premier League games between August and December.

With Solomon forced to watch on for the first half of the season, once he returned to action in January, he knew he had to work some magic to make his loan spell worthwhile and that is exactly what he did.

Solomon only made four starts during his stay in West London but it was contributions off the bench that endeared him to the Fulham faithful. The tricky winger scored coming off the bench in three consecutive matches as he helped Fulham record victories over Nottingham Forest and Brighton before rescuing a point for his side against Wolves.

In the next match, Solomon's patience rewarded him with his first start of the season and he showed Marco Silva what he'd been missing out on by scoring in their 3-2 defeat against Brentford. While he was out of favour under Silva, Postegcoglu has jumped at the opportunity to sign Solomon as Spurs are light on options in that area and with the Australian likely to use his 4-3-3 system that has proved successful so far, the 23-year-old could be the perfect fit.

Spurs Involved In A Potential Law Suit?
According to reports by ESPN, Shakhtar's owner Sergei Palkin is threatening to sue Spurs if they try to sign Solomon. Despite his contract at Shakhtar not expiring until December, current FIFA rules allow players under contract at a Ukranian club to extend their deals for a further year. This clause is known as Annex 7 and it means that Solomon can extend his current contract past its expiry date (December 31) and join a new club as a free agent.

While this is beneficial to Spurs' summer recruitment, Shakhtar's board are unhappy with FIFA's decision to extend the Annex 7 until the summer of 2024 and Palkin has also warned Tottenham that they could face legal action if they exploit the situation to their advantage.
