Channel 4 to show England U21s final

Channel 4 have responded to Uefa's tender to pay for live coverage of the Under-21s European Final between England and Spain.

The match will kick-off at 5pm Saturday.

Yet another blow to ITV's entertainment schedule as they seem to have ungracefully bowed out of major football coverage other than those "listed" television protected events.

Either way most observers felt ITV's presentation well below average, advert breaks overrunning missing kick-offs and dodgy camera work that missed a goal. Many remember Ian Wright trying not to laugh whenever the England national team went out of a tournament, so they will not be missed.

Good luck to the Young Lions, who have yet to concede a goal, but Spain will be their toughest game yet!
