BBC Sports Ground what's going on? Or is it just that nothing happens?

Maybe the club has tired of construction projects.

Has anyone heard anything?
Only Sweden has Swedish gooseberries.

C Block

The Club carried out the minimum amount of groundwork to keep the planning permission valid and then since then absolutely nothing
It appears all work off the pitch has had the handbrake applied for the last year or so,
As to why,nobody knows.

I haven't got a clue....but, I'd guess it's in planning

Stoneleigh Loyalist

It looks disgusting from the road side and having played football there many times it is a sad sight from the railway.

Until fulham football club owners and staff learn how to handle and build and finish a building project it's best they leave it only,I still don't believe he invented a bumper for cars he can't put his socks on properly.

Revised planning was accepted towards the end of 2022 and the plans are fantastic. Training pitches, one with underground heating, goalkeeper training etc.

Minimal groundwork has been done though occasionally, like this week, there was a telecommunications van in there. Keep hoping the work will start because it is a mess but considering the plans were only approved at the end of last year, some of the projects may still be being finalised.

Mick the Beard you shouldn't comment about things you don't understand. 1 firstly you have to get experts to decide what is possible as well as the best way to achieve what you are looking for. 2 Then you need to put together the plans. 3 you need to send the plans to the local council for approval. They will make alterations and tell you what they will accept. 4 the council may not agree and you may need to submit new plans. This can go on for sometime. 5 once this is agreed you need to get estimates for the work 6 The builders need to find out where they can obtain the materials at a good price before they can submit an estimate. They also need to obtain the skills of the tradesmen that may be working on other jobs. Then you have a volatile labour market that is no fault of the contractor. It's certainly no fault of the Khans. There is no reason to aim any of this at the khans when you don't know

That would probably mean he says nothing. Not a bad idea come to think of it.

Which is impressive for a man who when he arrived in the US was washing dishes for $1.20 an hour and is now one of the richest men in that country.

You forgot the contribution towards a new library for the local council, plus about a million site visits & site testing from everybody & it's brother

Yeah anyone who says SK doesnt know what he is doing could do with considering this. I always think this when people are laughing at Musk. These billionaires just think very differently to us, often in terms of decades and legacies as opposed to mere months and years.

Cambridge Away

Other than when we bought Mitroglou, Khan has never rushed into anything.
As they say in Swahili "Pole Pole". Slowly.

What is the "BBC Sports Ground" ?  I don't understand.

Its an old sports ground next to Motspur Park that the Khans bought a few years back with the plan to create a huge training complex, encompassing both the BBC and our current grounds.

Most Local Authorities planning departments are not even registering larger applications on their portals, until they absolutey have too, as then the 12 week statutory determination period is delayed for as long as possible.

Even a straightforward application is certainly not a quick process at the moment.

Looks like some TPO tree works have been signed off recently - so stuff is still happening in the background.

I think they are on opposite side of the road. It was brought from the BBC by a developer who failed to have the Metropolitan Open Land restriction lifted. So they could build their longed for residential estate.

After 10 years the Irish developer gave up and the now derelict site, they had fires in some or all of the buildings, was sold FFC in 2017.

FFC received planning permission to replace the derelict sports associated buildings in 2019 and I think the intention is to move the first team and leave Motspur Park for the Academy and other teams to use.
It could be better but it's real life and not a fantasy

And we wonder why progress is so slowwwwwwwwwwwwwww

There are 6 documents including a schedule of the trees and three plans to show their location.

This just to lop a few branches off some over grown trees

How lucky we were that the tree by the riverbank at the Cottage had to be removed for safety reasons. I believe it was destroying the embankment wall and the Port of London authority wanted rid of it.
