It was the REVENGE OF THE BOOT!  Only at Fulham does a player get his boot torn, must run back to the changing room to retrieve a new one, and score the winning penalty.  That's as Fulhamish as it gets in my book.

Six player rotations from the Arsenal game for this one by my count.  With that many changes, one would think the team would not mesh well and possibly have an off performance.  Yet, I really thought the team looked good, especially in the first half.

So, who was your FoF MOTM for this one and why?
Anyone can blend into the crowd.  How will you standout when it counts?

I am torn on this.  Rodak for the penality save or Tete for getting revenge from a torn boot  ::tongue::

Tete for the retribution and for the fact Tottenhams only way to score was to send him to get a new boot from the cottage. A fitting end to the tie with the winning penalty. Great football story that.

TheDaddy

Tête had the player in his pocket until he went boot hunting. Scores the decisive penalty

Tete for the entertainment and devouring the enemy at the gates
Someone once asked me, "Why Fulham?".
My response, "Well, lad, you just haven't seen the light yet"

SerbianLad

Tete for me. Special mentions to Robinson and Palhinha, and congrats to Rodak for saving the penalty.

Went for Tete, but Ream outstanding as well. Robinson and Diop also had good games. Traore  gave them plenty to think about.

Is bassey back for the next game? Does this count as his game out?

Yes, it does. Tonight was a domestic game, so counts as his suspension.  Good to go for Man City.

Went for Marek, most underrated keeper in my opinion always the bridesmaid but not tonight. Been behind some very good keepers during his Fulham career but rarely lets you down.

Went for Rodak. Was authoritative on crosses he came out for with no flapping and didn't really put a foot wrong all night plus the penalty save. Tete was second choice.

I think he'll do really well as a keeper long term, I just think he needs game time to go to the next level and be a number 1 somewhere, which I want for him and which he deserves. I think if he spent a couple of years in the championship then he'd grow a lot into himself.

He's very good and done well for himself when you consider he's still only 26 and trained with great keepers like Areola and Leno and had a number of seasons as number 1 already and been a championship winning GK too as well as winning a playoffs at Rotherham when he was just 20 and then for us after that. In fact it's quite an accomplished CV for a 26 Yr old when you think about it.

He could easily have another 10 years+ as a goalie if he looks after himself properly which is time to develop and grow. Manuel neuer is 37 and still captain for Germany and Bayern.

Saying all of this makes me kinda wish we kept him for ourselves long term, but think that may be a bit harsh on the lad.. unless he's happy with loans for a couple more years.

I know it was an understrengthed spurs, but he still saved the penalty and kept them at bay for the full 90.

Carborundum

Palhinha bossed midfield with majesty.  What a player we have.

Holders

Rodak. Not for the penalty save (though he nearly got the first one as well) but for his save from Solomon. It would have been embarrassing if that had gone in.

Got to be Kenny, hardly ever puts a foot wrong and has the opposition wide players in his pocket.

@jolslover

Palhinha was the best player on the pitch. Special mention to US pair Ream and Robinson who were outstanding too
