Playing Promoted Teams

So 2 wins out of 2 so far against promoted teams. How have we done in the 12 previous PL seasons when we have been an established PL team in games against promoted teams?

In five of those seasons we only won 1 game out of the 6 games against the promoted teams. With 6 points from the two wins so far, we have already secured more points against promoted teams than in 2002/03 (4 points), 2006/07 (5 points) and 2013/14 (5 points).

Most points won in a season against promoted teams? 13 in 2004/05 (W4 D1 L1). We have always lost at least 1 game per season against promoted teams. Most losses? 4 in 2002/03 and 2005/06.

And in those 12 seasons, 216 points have been available in games against the three promoted teams. How many did we get? 90. So this season 6 out of 6 is a good start.
