The DIVERS want more fouls awarded

In the latest incident Arsenal have made an official complaint to the PGMOL (referees body) to protect Bukayo Saka more.

In Football London they report, and it's almost laughable Saka has had the same 'treatment'
Quoteas Jack Grealish, Wilfried Zaha and Eden Hazard, all of whom received little help from officials when it came to being brought down and often simply kicked.

Strange how the facts these individuals (you can add Raheem Sterling to that) are the biggest 'divers' in the sport. They fall at the lightest touch or 'milk' a challenge. Arsenal have been the most preferencially protected teams in recent years, receiving dozens of free kicks every match as Sky Sport support them.

Yet again the club are attempting to lean on the referees for even more, while other honest teams like Fulham are targetted by officials with bad decisions and have no protection whatsoever.

While Marco Silva is being threatened for saying the sending off and 3-match ban for Raul Jiminez was 'harsh', Arsenal football can lay in thick on the PGMOL to attack them for not gifting their spoilt Saka even more soft fouls.

It was discussed today on Talksport, while Martin Keown foamed at the mouth, Simon Jordan calmly stated half of Saka's "fouls" on him, he bought!!

These are flair players who attempt close control dribbles through defenders. Imo they are highly entertaining, good for the game, and a vanishing quantity due to the growing premium on strength, athleticism, and pressing.

I don't consider them egregious floppers — it's not easy staying on your feet at high speeds when Ryan Yates or Andre Onana boot stab you while shielded from the ref. Every so often there is a clear dive, but all of these players get much more than their share of illegal contact.
