Where have you lived abroad before?

Lived 18 months Lorca, Murcia Province, Spain although had Finca (Farm House) for 7 years. 5 Months Teiling, China and now 14 years Samrong North, Samutprakarn Province/Sangkha, Surin Province, Thailand.
Thailand is just out of this world tremendous. Great people, Weather, Food. Used to get Asthma (May- Sept) in England, been 14 years 3 months asthma free. To be fair Lorca was the same,  China same as England.

Surely none as good as Isleworth!

6 months in Australia, 3.5 years in Istanbul, 2 years in Prague and 3 years in Amsterdam, all for work.

Would thoroughly recommend spending time working and living abroad.  You really get to know a country and its people. 

Obviously no longer quite as simple to do as it was until fairly recently, but if you have appropriate skills/qualifications it's still possible to do, I think.  I have been encouraging my teenage kids to include it in their life plans.  (And to stick with studying languages at school).

13 years in South Africa working in casinos for Sun International, back to the UK for 26 years and now retired in Southern Spain for the last five and loving being back in the sun!

Nice and sunny and there's no extradition from there so you could settle down.

Funny!  One more N on your name would do it.   I often use onecupright, something my Pinay caddy always said when she was puzzled reading a break; 'onecupsoon' seemed more appropriate for this forum.

Still get itchy feet and the urge to travel but I've no interest in moving.  Looked at retiring to Thailand, Malaysia, New Zealand and Spain but chose the Algarve (not for tax nor extradition reasons).
