Wolves v Fulham Premier League early injury news as three ruled out and three doubtful
Latest injury and team news ahead of Wolves versus Fulham in the Premier League.

Wolves host Fulham at Molineux in the Premier League on Saturday, March 9.

Gary O'Neil's side are on the search for a response after suffering a 3-0 defeat to Newcastle United at St James Park at the weekend. The result left them 10th in the league standings and the Magpies overtook them in the table.

Fulham are two places below Wolves with three points separating them though only a three-goal win for the Cottagers would be enough for them to overtake them. Marco Silva's side inflicted a 3-0 defeat on Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend with Harry Wilson and Rodrigo Muniz on target before former Wolves man Adama Traore scored in stoppage time.

The last time these two sides met was at Craven Cottage in November, resulting in a 3-2 win for the West London side. Willian scored a 94th minute penalty after Wolves had fought back twice through Matheus Cunha and Hwang Hee-chan after Alex Iwobi and Willian had given them the lead.

In the build-up to Saturday's match, here's the latest injury news prior to both manager's pre-match press conference. Gary O'Neil and Marco Silva should share more light on any players that are questionable for the weekend.

Wolves team news
Jose Sa and Pedro Neto were taken off during the defeat up in Newcastle. Neto made a hamstring complaint whilst Sa was nursing a thigh problem. Both players could return at the weekend but they will have to come through training first.

'Jose has a sore quad and they think he will be fine for next weekend," said O'Neil.

"I don't know if it was his quad that collided with the post, but he's got some issue, so it may have been from that situation, but he's confident he'll be ok for next weekend.

'Pedro has a tight hamstring and I don't think there's any injury there, it's just tight. It was precautionary really.'

Hwang Hee-Chan however will be out for six weeks due to a hamstring injury he sustained against Brighton in the FA Cup. His injury is a major blow given the lack of Wolves' attacking options.

Matheus Cunha has been out since early February and he has a similar timeframe of six weeks. Cunha has a hamstring injury and his 18 goal contributions are sorely missed.

Joao Gomes wasn't in the match-day squad against Newcastle either. He was potentially going to be a substitute but it was decided not to risk him.

Out: Hwang Hee-Chan. Matheus Cunha. Doubtful: Joao Gomes, Jose Sa and Pedro Neto.

Fulham team news
Fulham's injury list isn't too long with just one player missing. Raul Jimenez is out for at least a month after sustaining a hamstring injury at the end of January.

Joao Palhinha is to return to the fold after serving a one-match ban. Players who accumulate 10 yellow cards in a season are given a two-match suspension and Palhinha has served that now.

Out: Raul Jimenez.

46-yo who's been sacked from 3 PL clubs now in the running to replace Moyes as West Ham manager
A Premier League manager is seemingly being lined up to replace David Moyes as West Ham United manager.

West Ham manager David Moyes is still under pressure in his role at the London Stadium in spite of consecutive Premier League victories.

Numerous names have been linked with taking over from the Scot including the likes of Middlesbrough boss Michael Carrick and recently sacked former Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper.

Listen, the 60-year-old has worked wonders since returning to the London Stadium in 2019. He guided us to our first major trophy in 43 years last season, but the general consensus is that he has reached his ceiling, and can no longer take us forward.

The majority of Hammers fans want to see more entertainment, especially considering the players that Moyes has at his disposal now.

Almost every West Ham fan will admit that the brand football deployed by Moyes has been dire to watch this season. Surely it will soon be time for a change, if we really want to make that jump up to the next level.

I believe that he'll leave the London Stadium when his contract expires at the end of the season, but which manager are the board looking at to bring in to replace the Scot?

Moyes could be replaced as West Ham manager
According to a report from Give Me Sport, Fulham boss Marco Silva is being eyed up as a replacement for Moyes, when the Scot leaves the London Stadium in the summer.

He was actually linked with taking over from Moyes this time last year when we were struggling near the bottom of the table. Coincidentally, we beat Silva's Fulham 1-0 at Craven Cottage in April to save Moyes's job, and the rest is history.

Silva has been moved on from Hull City, Watford and Everton during his time in England, and now finds himself in charge of Fulham.

The 46-year-old has really impressed in his role at Fulham, since taking over at Craven Cottage in the summer of 2021.

However, West Ham would undoubtedly be a big step up on the Cottagers for him, and he surely would jump at the chance to manage the Hammers.

Silva predominantly sets up his team in a 4-2-3-1 formation, although that is extremely fluid and changes in and out of possession. The Portuguese likes to have a tall striker acting as the focal point for his team, and he mixes things up as far as playing out from the back goes.

Sometimes the 46-year-old will have his team play far more direct football whenever the situation calls for it. Fulham play with a very fluid style, and are extremely easy on the eye.

I think Silva would be a decent option to replace Moyes. However, it must be said that he failed at Everton after being heavily backed in the transfer market as well.

Is Marco Silva the man we want or need to replace David Moyes as West Ham manager? I'm not so sure he is you know. I would much prefer someone like Arne Slot or Ruben Amorim.

Fulham v Newcastle tickets – How much???
We got Fulham v Newcastle tickets back in January for the FA Cup fourth round match.

That was our last live Newcastle United game.

Bought tickets online no problem from Fulham, seats in the Putney End next to the away supporters.

My ticket was forty quid, which I thought a bit steep, but at least the junior ticket for Chuks was only a fiver.

Managed a beer before and after the game with my mate Dave and his son Albert, who are season ticket holders at Craven Cottage. Some of the Fulham supporters had allegedly boycotted this game in protest at the price of tickets for an FA Cup tie.

Hence the ease that myself and countless other Newcastle supporters were able to buy tickets in the Fulham end.

Living in London and a Newcastle United Member, not a season ticket holder, it appears that the only tickets for away matches I can now (sometimes) get, are in the home end. I was in the home end at West Ham and was offered a ticket in the Arsenal end the other week (the equivalent of a seat in the North Bank), ticket would have been fifty five quid.

So last night, my mate Dave got in touch and we had this conversation about him getting me Fulham v Newcastle tickets in the home sections for the game at Craven Cottage on Saturday 6 April...

As you can see, my mate Ian will not pay seventy one quid for a seat in a stand behind the goal with possible restricted view.

(With the Premier League away price cap (clubs can only charge £30 maximum for away fans), Newcastle United fans are paying for this Fulham match – £30 adults, £25 senior and young person, £20 under 18)

It will be interesting to see how many casual Fulham fans decide this price is just too high.

Maybe this is a chance for more Newcastle fans to get into the game even if the ticket prices are now eyewatering.

As for me and my son, our attempts at landing home tickets at St James' Park as Newcastle United Members appear to be drying up. We were fortunate to have landed tickets for four matches so far this season via the ballots and will continue to apply in hope.

As for away games, we will continue seeing if we can get tickets in the home end.

I always enjoyed going down to Fulham in the past and paying in with my Art School mates, when they were in the lower leagues, standing on the open terracing of the Hammersmith End after a few Saturday afternoon pints on Putney High Street.

The speed that things are changing appears to be accelerating. Dave wrote "wow" when he saw the price and I have a fear that real supporters are going to be priced out of the game. Tourists wearing half and half scarves becoming more conspicuous.

However, a hundred quid for a catch up with a mate and listening to Chuks and Albert talking about their favourite footballers and team tactics over bottles of red J2O, as well as obviously seeing Newcastle United play, is worth the money in my book, but for how long?

Premier League manager has emerged as a surprise candidate to replace David Moyes
GiveMeSport reports that Marco Silva may become a contender to succeed David Moyes at West Ham, who is under increasing pressure.

In case the Scotsman leaves at the end of the season, the Hammers may choose to employ a manager from within the Premier League, according to sources cited by the news outlet on its website.

It is stated that the Irons would explore the option to appoint Thomas Tuchel, who is scheduled to depart Bayern Munich this summer, and that technical director Tim Steidten also has admiration for Paulo Fonseca, the manager of Lille, and Arne Slot, the manager of Feyenoord.

Even if West Ham defeated Brentford and Everton back-to-back this past week, the rumours over Moyes' future still linger.

In the event that no decision is taken prior to the Scotsman's contract expiring, it is probable that the rumours will persist until the end of the season.

Even though Silva has performed admirably at Fulham, the supporters will likely view his hiring as a little lackluster and wonder if it truly represents an improvement on Moyes.

The preferred choice, if the Hammers decide to fire Moyes, will undoubtedly be someone with managerial experience in Europe who has the ability to lead the team to greater heights.

That person is more likely to be someone like Tuchel, however it's unclear at this point if he would be open to moving to the London Stadium.

The Hammers need to sort out the manager issue as soon as possible because whoever is in charge of the club, will have to plan the summer transfer window according to his plans.

Fulham want Wind
Fulham and West Ham United are keen on signing Wolfsburg striker Jonas Wind in the summer, according to the German press.

Wolfsburger Allgemeine Aller-Zeitung says that three Premier League clubs remain interested in the Danish international despite Wind currently enduring a 14-match scoreless spell. Fulham have been heavily linked with the 25 year-old during the past two transfer windows, but Wolfsburg were unwilling to cash in on the former Copenhagen centre forward.

That situation could change this summer, with the player open to testing himself in England's top flight and Wolfsburg unlikely to qualify for Europe. Wind has scored 21 goals in 67 games since moving to Germany for £10m at the end of January 2021. He had previously found the net 46 times in 113 appearances at Copenhagen, with whom he won the Superliga in 2019. Wind has scored eight goals in 25 caps for Denmark, featuring in their squads for the Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup.

Fulham v Newcastle tickets – Fulham action to prevent NUFC fans buying home section tickets
Fulham v Newcastle tickets go on sale to NUFC fans later today.

The Newcastle United official ticketing site stating that the away allocation will go on sale to those with 130+ loyalty points from 2pm Wednesday 6 March (today).

With then a points drop at 2pm on Thursday (7 March), depending on availability.

The match at Craven Cottage is on Saturday 6 April and this morning, Fulham v Newcastle tickets went on sale to the home side's supporters.

Fulham laying out when various fans can buy tickets – Members (one ticket each), then Season Ticket Holders (two extra tickets each as well as their own seat), then those with a previous booking history (two tickets each).

However... in their official announcement (see below), Fulham have stated for that last group of people...

'*Booking History does not include previous fixtures against Newcastle United.'

An interesting one.

Back in January, Fulham were happy to sell thousands of tickets to Newcastle United fans in the home sections because they were struggling to sell tickets to their own supporters. No problem at all when it came to NUFC fans registering on the Fulham ticketing site and buying tickets, with the official Newcastle United away ticket allocation swiftly having sold out.

Fulham fans had filled Craven Cottage (24,320) for their League Cup semi-final second leg on Wednesday 24 January, but had shown little interest in buying tickets for the FA Cup fourth round tie against Newcastle United three days later.

The eventual crowd for that Fulham v Newcastle FA Cup match was 18,960, United winning 2-0, with not a big difference between the numbers of home and away fans at the match, including the thousands of NUFC supporters in the home sections.

The official Newcastle away tickets are going on sale for no more than £30 for adults, due to the Premier League away fan price cap

Whilst in the same (Putney) end of Craven Cottage, the home sections are priced at £71 for adults. However, no doubt, despite Fulham's best efforts, plenty of Newcastle United fans will find a way to get tickets in amongst the Fulham fans. For so many NUFC fans, the only chance they have of getting to see their team is to try and buy tickets amongst the other club's fans.

Official Fulham announcement on sale of Fulham v Newcastle tickets – 4 March 2024
'Tickets for Fulham's fixture against Newcastle United go on sale from 10am on Wednesday 6th March.

Secure your seat as we take on Eddie Howe's Newcastle side at Craven Cottage for this Premier League clash on Saturday 6th April, kick-off 3pm.

Tickets for this fixture will go on sale to 2023/24 Members with Previous Booking History* on Wednesday 6th March at 10am (one ticket per person), then to 2023/24 Season Ticket Holders to purchase additional seats on Friday 8th March at 10am (two tickets per person). Tickets will then go on sale to Supporters with Previous Booking History* on Tuesday 12th March at 10am (two tickets per person).

Supporters can secure their seat from Wednesday online at tickets.fulhamfc.com and from the Fulham FC Ticket Office in person or by phone on 0203 871 0810 (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm).

Hammers hankering after Silva?
West Ham sources have apparently told GiveMeSport that they 'admire' Marco Silva as they weigh up what to do with David Moyes, whose contract expires at the end of the season.

It's no surprise that other Premier League sides are impressed with the job that Silva has done since he returned to English football nearly three years ago. The Portuguese head coach guided Fulham to the Championship title in his first campaign at Craven Cottage before taking the Whites to tenth in the Premier League table and an FA Cup quarter final on their return to the top flight. His success this season, despite the loss of prolific striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, in guiding the Cottagers to a first League Cup semi-final and twelfth in the table is arguably even more worthy of praise.

West Ham weighed up a move for Silva last summer – as well as Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha – but opted to keep faith with Moyes after he won the Conference League. Luring the 46 year-old away from SW6, where he put pen to paper on a new contract until 2026, will be much tougher now.

Fulham in transfer tussle to sign Jonas Wind

Fulham are reportedly keen on signing 25-year-old Danish striker Jonas Wind from Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg.
A report from WAZ has claimed that Fulham are keen on signing Jonas Wind, and they could look to make a move at the end of the season. The Cottagers are involved in a three-way Premier League battle for the Dane, with Wolverhampton Wanderers also interested in him.

The 25-year-old has done quite well for Wolfsburg this season, scoring ten goals across all competitions, and he has seven assists to his name as well. As iterated, two other Premier League clubs are also keen on him, making it a three-way battle. The Danish forward can operate as the centre forward as well as a false nine. He will add goals and creativity to the Fulham attack.

The West London club have not been able to score goals consistently this season, and they need to bring in a reliable attacker. Raul Jimenez has been quite underwhelming since joining Fulham, and the London club need to bring in an upgrade. It will be interesting to see if Fulham can secure an agreement with Bundesliga club Wolfsburg for Wind. They have also shown interest in other attackers, including Wilfried Zaha.

A move to the Premier League will be a tempting proposition for the 25-year-old, who is likely to be attracted to the idea of joining the London club. It would be a step up in his career, and he would get to compete at a high level. Fulham have a quality squad at their disposal, and there is no reason why they cannot push for a top-half finish and European qualification with the right additions. Wind could help them improve in the final third.

The ideal Aleksandar Mitrovic replacement?
Fulham have missed a quality striker since the departure of Aleksandar Mitrovic, and it remains to be seen whether they can get a deal done for the Bundesliga forward. The 25-year-old is entering the peak of his career and he will look to test himself at a high level.

A move to Fulham could not have come at a better time for him, and it remains to be seen how the situation unfolds. Jonas Wind certainly has the technical attributes and the physicality to succeed in English football. He will look to hit the ground running in the Premier League and establish himself as an important player for Fulham.

WE GET THE LOWDOWN ON FULHAM BEFORE THE MOLINEUX CLASH

Fan Chat Preview: Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Fulham Showdown
In the midst of an exciting Premier League season, the upcoming Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Fulham match is capturing the attention of football fans across the nation. With both teams coming off the back of eventful matches and eyeing up the top half of the table, this clash promises to be more than just a routine encounter. Today, we delve into a fan chat that provides insightful views from both camps, shining a light on the teams' current form, player performances, and expectations leading up to this eagerly awaited fixture.

Fulham's Impressive Run
Fulham have been turning heads recently with back-to-back victories, including a dramatic last-minute win against Manchester United followed by a commanding 3-0 triumph over Brighton. Sammy, a dedicated Fulham supporter, shared his excitement over the team's recent performances, highlighting the pivotal role of striker Rodrigo Muniz, who has been on a goal-scoring spree since stepping into Aleksandar Mitrović's shoes. Muniz's unexpected rise to form has breathed new life into Fulham's attacking prowess, providing them with a renewed sense of confidence as they head into the match against Wolves.

Wolves' Grit and Hunger
On the other side, the Wolves have demonstrated resilience and ambition of their own. Despite a packed schedule and a quick turnaround from their match with Sheffield United they secured a spot in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup, showcasing their ability to dig deep and grind out results. However, their subsequent performance against Newcastle raised concerns about fatigue within the squad. With key players like Matheus Cunha, Hwang Hee-Chan grappling with injuries and fitness woes, Wolves fans are eager to see how their team will adapt and overcome these challenges.

Tactical Insights and Predictions
The discussion took an interesting turn as both fans delved into the tactical aspects of the game. Fulham's adaptability, capable of both dominating possession and effectively counter-attacking, was identified as a key factor. In contrast, Wolves' preference for a fast-paced game and their struggles against teams that sit back could play into Fulham's hands. Given Fulham's current form and the fitness concerns over Wolves' squad, Sammy predicted a possible 2-1 victory for Fulham, highlighting their nothing-to-lose attitude and the potential impact of Wolves' recent demanding schedule on their performance.

The Adama Traore Factor
One player who could make all the difference for Fulham is Adama Traore. Despite being sidelined for a significant part of the season, his recent contributions off the bench have been a silver lining and he's sure to want a result against his former club. His blistering pace and ability to terrify defences could be crucial in the latter stages of the game. The conversation couldn't bypass the quirky topic of Traore's use of baby oil, a tactic employed to prevent opponents from grabbing his arms and dislocating his shoulder.

Conclusion
With Fulham riding a wave of confidence and Wolves looking to assert their Premier League credentials further, this clash is set to be an interesting one. Let's hope Wolves don't have any further injury woes and have the necessary rest and fitness ready to take on Fulham.

Chelsea 'Seriously Interested' in signing Antonee Robinson
Chelsea have a 'serious' interest in signing Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson at Stamford Bridge this summer.

Chelsea's interest in Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson is "serious", as they aim to bolster their options at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues feel the 26-year-old holds a value somewhere in the region of £35m.
Manchester City and AC Milan have expressed an interest in the United States international over the past year.

Chelsea's interest in Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson is 'serious' ahead of the 2024 summer transfer window at Stamford Bridge, according to GIVEMESPORT sources.

The Blues are enduring an underwhelming season under the management of Mauricio Pochettino and risk missing out on continental football for a second consecutive campaign in west London.

Co-owner and chairman Todd Boehly has splashed the cash over the course of his first four transfer windows at Chelsea but is yet to see his spending bare fruit. Robinson has established himself as a regular in the Fulham lineup during the 2023/24 season and has gained the interest of several clubs on the continent.

Chelsea have been looking at Robinson 'for the past year'
The Blues want to add more depth to their full-back department

According to GMS scources, Chelsea are 'serious' in their interest in Fulham's Robinson, dubbed as "dangerous" by journalist Josh Bunting. The 26-year-old has been in a regular in Marco Silva's side this term, playing in 94% of available Premier League minutes throughout the 2023/24 season. Robinson has been integral to Fulham steering clear of a relegation battle this campaign, who will hope to push on into the top-half of the table in the season's latter stages.

Our sources indicate that Chelsea's priority heading into the 2024 summer transfer window is going to be signing cover at left-back for Ben Chilwell. The 27-year-old has spent a large portion of the season on the sidelines at Stamford Bridge, with Pochettino having been short of options on the left side of defence.

The Blues have been scouting Robinson 'for the past year' and have been impressed by his attacking mindset and his pace. They also believe that his defensive duties have improved and that he has 'good recovery traits', suggesting that he is the ideal Premier League full-back.

However, Fulham aren't keen on letting Robinson leave, hinting that negotiations between the west London duo could be difficult. Silva's side are under no financial pressure to sell the United States international, with the defender having over four years left on his current contract at Craven Cottage. Chelsea feel that he holds a value of around £35m and could test the water for his services in the summer.

Further interest in Robinson
The full-back has attracted attention from Premier League and European outfits

Chelsea are not the only side to have considered Robinson's signing. Ahead of the 2024 winter window, transfer insider Dean Jones told GIVEMESPORT that Liverpool had set their sights on the acquiring the full-back's signature. Whilst a move to Anfield never came to fruition, GMS sources understand there has been interest from elsewhere in the past year.

In England, reigning treble holders Manchester City have monitored Robinson, who could sense an opportunity to make the left-back spot his own at the Etihad Stadium. Meanwhile, AC Milan have also shown an interest in the defender, who had initially been set to move to the San Siro before a move collapsed on medical grounds.

Fulham reportedly fighting Wolves for £10m striker – but he hasn't scored in 13 games
Fulham are again interested in snapping up Wolfsburg striker Jonas Wind despite his goal drought in the Bundesliga.

The summer transfer window is still some time away but we are already seeing Fulham being linked with new strikers.

Reports this week have indicated that Fulham are interested in signing Al-Shabab striker Habib Diallo.

Stuttgart's Serhou Guirassy could yet be back on the radar too as Fulham look for another goalscorer.

Rodrigo Muniz is in red-hot form but with Armando Broja's loan move unlikely to be turned permanent at this stage, another striker may be a top priority.

Fulham back in for Jonas Wind
Another name, just like Guirassy, which won't go away is Wolfsburg hitman Jonas Wind.

German newspaper Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung now report that Fulham are back in the hunt for Wind this summer.

It's suggested that Fulham will face competition from Wolverhampton Wanderers as they also fancy Wind.

The 25-year-old is a big and physical centre forward at 6ft 3in tall and impressed in his native Denmark with Copenhagen.

Wolfsburg pounced to sign him in 2022, paying around €12million (£10million) to take him to Germany.

Wind started this season on absolute fire, smashing eight goals in the first nine Bundesliga games.

However, Wind has gone on an unbelievable goal drought since scoring against RB Leipzig on the 25th of November.

Wind hasn't scored in his last 13 games in all competitions, seriously struggling to recapture his early-season.

Wind has chipped in with four assists in that goalless run and his struggles in front of goal seemingly haven't scared off Premier League suitors.

That recent record leaves us a little concerned that Wind may not be the right man for Fulham, as he would be facing even stronger competition in the Premier League.

Wind's physical abilities are appealing but if he doesn't score between now and the summer, we would be worried about a Fulham move.

[/quote] We are not the only club to price tickets on a demand basis. First rule of economics, higher demand higher the price and with the large Newcastle fan base who live in London they will be a number looking to see the game but unable to source a ticket from Newcastle. A club will look to cash in on this and while they would like to see only Fulham fans they know that unlike Arsenal, Chelsea plus the other better supported clubs there are not enough Fulham fans and will have to sell to neutral and away club supporting fans.
