Playing away to the much fancied French. Katie Boulter lost the first tie losing 12 games in a row. At 302 in the World Emma Raducanu was playing Garcia the number 23 in the World. Lost the first set but came through to win in three sets

Today Garcia dropped out so Boulter had to play the reverse singles against a new player and won. Leaving Raducanu to play the victor yesterday over Boulter. Lost the first set. Won the second with ease. Was 5-3 up and had two match points but the French player played some inspired tennis to take it into a tie break. Raducanu who had not won two matches not he trot for some time and had her fitness after her double operation earlier in the year questioned. Came through the tie break with the loss of only one point.

Britain play in the finals later in the year in Seville.
