Top-half and title twists: everything you need to know about Fulham
Crystal Palace head to Craven Cottage to take on Fulham on Saturday, 27th April (15:00 BST) - so before kick-off, it's time to get the lowdown on our latest opponents...

Factfile

    Manager: Marco Silva
    Current Position: 13th
    Nickname: The Cottagers
    Ground: Craven Cottage
    Founded: 1879 (145 years ago)

What's the story?
In a quirk of fate, Fulham's last three fixtures in the Premier League have been the same as Crystal Palace's: Newcastle United, West Ham United and Liverpool. Although the Eagles have come away with three wins, Fulham have struggled, beating West Ham at the London Stadium but falling to defeat at Craven Cottage to both Newcastle and Liverpool.

Now preparing for a third home game in four in the Premier League, Marco Silva's side are hoping to rectify inconsistent recent form to push for a place in the top-half of the table, with just four games to go.

They sit just three points behind Bournemouth in 10th, and just five off Chelsea in 9th, so the potential for a strong end to the campaign could reap real rewards.

Fulham came close to silverware this season, reaching the semi-finals of the League Cup and losing out narrowly to Liverpool for a place at Wembley. They have also earned big results in the league, beating Arsenal at Craven Cottage and earning a draw at the Emirates Stadium

They face Manchester City and Luton Town in their final two games of the season, so could yet have a big say in both the destination of the title and the result of the relegation battle.

The boss
Marco Silva's confidence in his Fulham project was underlined when he turned down a series of enormously lucrative approaches from Saudi Arabia last summer,

This is his seventh season in the English game, having managed Hull City, Watford and Everton in the past.

Boot in both camps
Brede Hangeland made his name elsewhere in London, but a distinguished spell at Crystal Palace was a fitting finale for a distinguished career.

After a two-year spell with Copenhagen, he joined Fulham in 2008 and became a mainstay of their defence under Roy Hodgson, who would later go on to praise him as one of the best leaders he worked with over a near-50 year career in management.

Helping to complete Fulham's 'great escape', the next season saw the remarkable run to the Europa League final.

After leaving Craven Cottage in 2014, Hangeland headed to south London where he made 25 appearances for Crystal Palace, scoring twice – helping the club to a top-half finish under Alan Pardew.

He retired from professional football in 2016, having made 91 appearances for Norway, 48 times as captain.

Record against Palace
Palace won three consecutive games against Fulham between 2018 and 2020 but haven't earned three points since.

The two sides played out a goalless draw at Selhurst Park in September, the second goalless draw in the last four games between the two sides.

Boxing Day last season saw Palace reduced to nine men in a fiery encounter at Selhurst Park, while sunnier skies prevailed in May at Craven Cottage as Joel Ward's late equaliser saw the Eagles claim a point.

Did you know?
Fulham were founded by worshippers as St Andrew's Church Sunday School in 1879 – just 18 years after Crystal Palace – and began their days in the local West London League, initially sporting shirts of half red and half white.

They moved to their current Craven Cottage ground in 1896, a stadium steeped in history. The cottage itself was built in 1780 by William Craven, the sixth Baron Craven, and stood on the old hunting grounds of Anne Boleyn; Queen Victoria, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Florence Nightingale are among the famous names reputed to have stayed there.

Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Brentford, Crystal Palace and Fulham all in race for Leicester City star
A host of Premier League clubs are keen on picking up Leicester City's Wilfred Ndidi on a free transfer this summer.

Leicester City may be fighting for automatic promotion but they could be saying farewell to Nigerian international Wilfred Ndidi this summer, with his contract expiring and a host of clubs keen on his services this summer.

Ndidi is a key player for the Foxes, who relinquished their grip on top spot in his absence recently, having taken four points from five league games not long ago, including a run of three successive defeats within that, meaning their lead at the top had been completely wiped out.

It's been no surprise to see they have improved in recent weeks after his return to the side, winning the last two games against West Brom and Southampton, and looking very likely of making an immediate return to the top-flight, with Ndidi scoring in both of those fixtures.

Promotion has been the aim all season, despite a number of Leicester's top players departing the King Power Stadium in the summer transfer window, with Harvey Barnes and James Maddison two players in particular who were tipped to leave the club.

However, they also retained plenty of Premier League stars that had been a key part of some of their most successful ever sides in the top-flight, one of which was Ndidi. The 27-year-old was signed from Belgian side Genk for a fee of around £17 million in 2017 and has just a matter of months remaining on his deal at Leicester, having made 271 appearances for the Foxes in that time.

Wilfred Ndidi transfer links
Turkish giants Galatasaray are said to be hoping to capitalise on the midfielder's contract situation, while it was reported earlier in the month that a host of Premier League clubs are also reportedly interested in signing him.

Fresh reports have emerged linking him elsewhere, with Barcelona said to be keen to bolster their midfield options and Arsenal star Jorginho is among their top targets, along with Leicester's Ndidi. Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Barcelona's own financial issues mean that they will have very little funds to spend this summer unless they part ways with several players.

However, the latest reports have linked Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Brentford, Crystal Palace, and Fulham with the Leicester star, with each of those sides said to be monitoring his situation, per TBRfootball.

The report explains that the Championship promotion favourites are still looking to offer Ndidi a new contract – with his current deal expiring this summer. They claim that with Profit and Sustainability still a consideration for a number of clubs – landing an experienced Premier League-calibre midfielder for nothing is a huge attraction, which could also make it difficult for Leicester to retain him, too.

Ndidi's importance to Leicester
His role has changed somewhat under Enzo Maresca, who has utilised Ndidi in a more advanced midfield role, but it has worked out, with the Nigerian impressing in the middle of the park.

In his first 24 games of the season, he scored four and collected a further six assists and established himself as a key player. It has been a timely boost that Ndidi has returned to action recently for Leicester, helping them retake top spot with those back-to-back wins, coupled with Maresca being short of options in midfield.

They were unable to make a player addition there amid failed interest in Inter Milan's Stefano Sensi, while they were also an extra man down after Cesare Casadei was recalled from his loan spell by Chelsea in January.

However, there is no guarantee that his future lies with the East Midlands outfit beyond this summer, given the financial issues at the club and the fact the Foxes potentially need to raise funds quickly to avoid a possible points deduction next season, which could also mean cutting down on wages.

Fulham v Crystal Palace

TEAM NEWS
Fulham winger Willian has returned to training after a minor groin problem and is expected to be available.

Alex Iwobi could make his 250th Premier League appearance, becoming the fourth Nigerian player to do so after Shola Ameobi, Kanu and Yakubu.

Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze suffered a knee issue against Newcastle and will be assessed.

Rob Holding, who only returned to the matchday squad after injury last week, is ruled out with a hamstring problem.

MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head

Fulham have won just one of the past eight meetings, although half of them have ended in draws.
Crystal Palace are unbeaten in their last four visits to Craven Cottage (W2, D2).

Fulham

Fulham have equalled last season's final tally of 16 league defeats, seven of which have come at Craven Cottage.
The Cottagers have won four of their past five London derbies in the top flight; a fifth win would match their most in a season.
Marco Silva's side have suffered back-to-back Premier League home defeats. They last lost more home games in a row between March and May 2021.
Joao Palhinha has received a league-high 13 yellow cards this season. Having received 14 last season, he's the second player in history to be booked as many times in two Premier League campaigns - Robbie Savage was the first, 20 years ago.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have registered three successive Premier League wins for the first time in a year. They'd only won three of their previous 20 top-flight games.
Their 1-0 victory over Liverpool at Anfield ended a 10-match winless away run in the league.
Jean-Philippe Mateta has scored eight league goals since Oliver Glasner was appointed manager in February, second only to Cole Palmer's tally of 10 for Chelsea.
Michael Olise has scored in his last three Premier League London derby appearances, with four goals in total, making him the first Palace player to score in four such games since Andrew Johnson in 2004-05.

Glasner updates on Eze and Olise pre-Fulham
Oliver Glasner says Ebere Eze is a doubt for Crystal Palace's trip to Fulham on Saturday, having sustained a knock against Newcastle United.

The Eagles beat Newcastle at Selhurst Park on Wednesday, with Eze coming off in the second-half.

"Ebere Eze is questionable for tomorrow – he has a problem with his knee," Glasner said in his pre-match press conference. "We will decide tomorrow if it makes sense that he plays.

"Everyone else is fit – nobody new is back but just this one [new issue]. It was a match injury, we didn't really train for two days now, we were just doing recovery.

"He was knocked down many times in the [Newcastle] game so we will see."

The manager did have positive news regarding Michael Olise however, with the Palace No. 7 fit to start at Craven Cottage.

"It was a decision we talked about before the Newcastle game," Glasner explained.

"He would have been fit to start before the Newcastle game, but we spoke and then we decided together that it makes sense to give him fewer minutes against Newcastle and have him fit against Fulham.

"Everything worked and the most important thing is that we got the three points."

Team News: Willian Back Training

Marco Silva had positive news regarding the fitness of Willian, ahead of Saturday's London derby with Crystal Palace.

The winger missed last week's defeat by Liverpool with a minor groin strain, but has been back with the group recently.

"He's probably going to be involved, going to be involved in the match," Silva revealed in his pre-match press conference. "He trained last few days with us and the reaction has been good from him.

"We are going to assess him, we just finished the session, and after we have to take the decision for the game, but probably we are going to see him there."

Huge Fulham injury boost as Crystal Palace dealt yet another blow to star man
Fulham are boosted by injury news while an update from Crystal Palace could be a huge blow for the Eagles.

Fulham are set to be boosted by the return of influential winger Willian for this weekend's meeting against Crystal Palace at Craven Cottage. Three points on Saturday could help the Cottagers towards a top half finish this term.

Marco Silva's side were handed their third defeat in four outings by Liverpool last weekend but will look to bounce back from that 3-1 loss in front of a home crowd on Saturday afternoon. Meanwhile, the Eagles are buoyed by three wins on the bounce against Liverpool, West Ham and Newcastle United.

Speaking ahead of the match, Silva revealed that he 'should' be able to call on the services of the experienced Willian once again. The Brazilian was missed against Liverpool as he nursed a slight groin strain.

That niggle wasn't thought to be serious and the 35-year-old, who has enjoyed another solid season with 28 top-flight appearances, could return to the Fulham team. Silva is set to have a fully fit squad for the meeting on the banks of the Thames.

Marco Silva warns Fulham that Crystal Palace getting 'better and better' under Oliver Glasner
Marco Silva was speaking ahead of Fulham's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace

Fulham boss Marco Silva believes Crystal Palace have got 'better and better' under new manager Oliver Glasner ahead of their Premier League clash at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

Glasner's Eagles have picked up three successive wins ahead of their trip to west London. The Austrian boss, who took over from Roy Hodgson in February, picked up a notable 1-0 victory at Anfield earlier this month which dented Liverpool's title hopes.

Speaking on Glasner's impact at Palace, Silva said: "You can see them getting better and better and of course the impact from him (Glasner) was really good in the squad and the club.

"You can see from the outside it's clear the confidence in the team is there and the way they play, react in moments of the game.

"They've had a very good reaction, they're consistent in performances and results, the impact from the manager is clear and it's there."

Jean-Philippe Mateta has enjoyed a recent purple patch in front of goal and his double in Palace's 2-0 home win over Newcastle took his tally for the season to 11. Silva admitted the attacking threats of Mateta, Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise were something his side would need to be aware of.

He added: "We are aware of their threats in certain areas of the pitch and certain players as well. They have key players who we have to control in certain areas of the game. Palace are much stronger if they have Eze and Olise; they're at a very good level.

"Mateta's in very good form too. He's linking with the two players in front of him, the connection he gets, he's a player where you can go a little bit more direct and be a player to hold up the ball.

"He's been crucial for them in many aspects of the game. He's confident and can make an impact."

Experienced 35-year-old Willian, who signed a one-year deal at Fulham last season, is coming to the end of his contract.

Silva talked up the former Chelsea winger, admitting his wants him to stay beyond the summer. When asked if he wants Willian to stay, Silva said: "Yes, I will do my best to keep him at our football club.

"We are going to have a conversation at the end of the season. We're going to analyse the season together and after he's going to make a decision.

"He has had an exceptional career. He's always there, he's always professional."

Season ticket renewals
The Board of the Fulham Supporters' Trust acknowledges the Club's announcement on season ticket prices for 2024/2025.
Season ticket prices

We are pleased to see the Club has listened to our representations urging them to limit any increases to the minimum in recognition of the cost of living crisis affecting our fans.

Today's announcement is in stark contrast to the 18% and 10% rises seen in the previous two years, which led to understandable frustration and eventually protests from the Fulham community as many feared being priced out from supporting the club they love.

We welcome today's decision to listen to our concerns.

We acknowledge that some fans may have hoped for a lower increase, a sentiment we share, but we note that the proposed 4% change for adult tickets in the Hammersmith and Putney Ends and Johnny Haynes Stand is only marginally above the 3.2% rate of ONS annual CPI inflation and that Riverside prices have been frozen.

We particularly welcome the Club's decision to freeze season ticket renewals for all junior and concession groups, including over 65s and young adults, in recognition of the loyalty of our long-standing fans and the importance of keeping football accessible to the next generations of Fulham fans. We also welcome there is no proposed change to eligibility criteria for these concessions as has been seen at other clubs.

The Board will take a little time to analyse the announcement in full and run it through our models looking at historical changes and comparing the new prices to other clubs in the Premier League. We will also seek clarity on the new 15,000 cap for season tickets.

We will look separately at prices for new season ticket holders and match tickets when they are released.
Digital tickets

We welcome the introduction of digital tickets and will press the Club to use whatever powers are necessary to use the new technology to step up its fight against illegal online resellers and touts, who abuse the ticketing system and facilitate the entry of away fans into home areas.

We are fully aware of the strength of feeling on this issue after a number of incidents during the recent Liverpool game. We are engaging with the Club to do whatever it takes to resolve this problem and are grateful to all who wrote to us in recent days about this topic.

In the meantime we would warn again that there are many websites advertising tickets for the Manchester City game that either simply do not exist or will not be allowed entry. We have only today forwarded details of such a website to the Club to investigate.

In practical terms, we will monitor closely how the technology is intended to work and ask the Club to make sure to minimise any risk of disruptions or dangerous crowding as seen at some other Premier League grounds when a similar system was first introduced.

We will also be asking the Club for additional reassurance on how they intend to safeguard the matchday experience of certain age or disability groups that could struggle with the new technology to make sure no one ever feels excluded from visiting the Cottage.
Let us know your thoughts

In the meantime, please do let us know your thoughts on the Club's announcement by emailing us on [email protected] to shape our full response.
Join the Trust

We encourage all fans to join the Trust and help us continue to be the collective and independent voice of our Fulham community in dialogue with the Club.

Details are available here.

Fulham v Crystal Palace : Preview and predicted line-ups
After three successive Premier League victories, Crystal Palace travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday (27 April)

Last time out, the Eagles beat Newcastle 2-0 at Selhurst Park, with in-form striker Jean Phillipe Mateta scoring a brace.

Fulham's last game was against Liverpool last Sunday, where they lost 3-1 at Craven Cottage.

Since matchday 30, Fulham find themselves 14th in the form table, with only one win in five games, meanwhile Palace have won every game since beating Liverpool at Anfield.

The two sides currently sit in 13th and 14th place; however it would take a big winning margin for Palace to leapfrog their opponents this weekend.

Neither team has any new injury concerns ahead of the game, however Palace are still without the likes of Sam Johnstone, Marc Guehi, Cheick Doucoure, and Jefferson Lerma.

Predicted Fulham starting XI (4-2-3-1)
 Goalkeeper: Bernd Leno

Defence: Timothy Castagne, Tosin Adarabioyo, Calvin Bassey, Antonee Robinson

Midfield: Joao Palhinha, Sasa Lukic, Alex Iwobi, Andreas Periera, Bobby Decordova-Reid
Attack: Rodrigo Muniz
Predicted Crystal Palace starting XI (3-4-3)

Goalkeeper: Dean Henderson

Defence: Nathaniel Clyne, Joachim Andersen, Chris Richards

Midfield: Daniel Munoz, Adam Wharton, Will Hughes, Tyrick Mitchell

Attack: Michael Olise, Eberechi Eze, Jean Phillipe Mateta

The stats
Here are key stats ahead of Sunday's fixture:

Crystal Palace have won three Premier League games in a row for the first time this season. The last time they achieved that feat was in April last year, when they beat all three of the sides who went on to be relegated.
Mateta has scored more Premier League goals under Oliver Glasner (eight in nine games), than under Roy Hodgson (five in 35 games) or Patrick Vieira (six in 44 games).
Fulham are unbeaten in their last four games against Crystal Palace, dating back to October 2020. However, they have only won one of the four matches, a 3-0 win at Selhurst Park last season..

Prediction
Crystal Palace come into this game on the back of their best form of the season, while Fulham come into the game with only one win in five. I see it being a tough game for both sides, with not much to separate the two.

Prediction: Fulham 1-1 Crystal Palace

Willian set for Fulham return as Silva plans talks
Fulham boss Marco Silva has reiterated that he is keen to keep Willian at Craven Cottage next season.

The former Chelsea wide-man, 35, is expected to return from injury for Saturday's game against Crystal Palace.

Silva said: "Willian will probably be involved in the match.

"He trained the last few days with us and the reaction has been good. We've just finished the session, so we'll evaluate him and take decisions from there.

"He's a really important player for us. Any team in this league would be stronger with Willian in their team, despite his age.

"He doesn't look like he is 35 or 36. Even I do not know his age because it is not important, what is important is the way he plays and trains. He is a really important piece to our football club and last season was the same.

"He is always professional and looking to help the team and himself to be better."

Willian signed a one-year deal last summer and Silva is again hoping to prolong the veteran's time at the club.

Silva said: "I'll do my best to keep him here. There are no developments now, but we will have that conversation with him at the end of the season.

"I have been speaking with him about it and It was the same at the end of last season, we sat down together and had the conversation about his future, and he wants to do the same this season again.

"He wants to analyse his season and decide his future. I will speak with him about that and after that it is up to him to make his decision."

Fulham And Bournemouth Make Enquiries For Teenage Defender
Bournemouth and Fulham have made enquiries into the possibility of signing teenage AC Milan defender Jan-Carlo Simic.

The Rossoneri signed the young defender from the VfB Stuttgart academy in 2022 and he has made considerable progress in Italy.

Simic, 18, made his debut for the senior squad earlier in the season and has already made six appearances.

His performances have already piqued the interest of a few clubs with his limited appearances in the ongoing campaign.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Bournemouth and Fulham have their eyes on the 18-year-old centre-back.

The two Premier League clubs have been keeping tabs on the young defender and have taken information on him.

They have probed into the possibility of getting their hands on Simic in the summer transfer window.

He has a year left on his contract and AC Milan are also looking to convince him to sign a new deal.

It has been claimed that he is likely to sign a new contract with the Rossoneri and then consider his future.

Tosin Adarabioyo to leave Fulham in summer as contract talks collapse
Cottagers defender wants to explore new options amid Tottenham and Liverpool interest

Tosin Adarabioyo has told Fulham he will leave the club in the summer.

The Cottagers defender, 26, is soon to be out of contract and wants to explore new options after four years in west London.

A host of clubs are expected to be interested in Adarabioyo, who has played 132 times for Fulham since signing as a promising young centre-back from Manchester City.

Marco Silva has made him a regular this season and Fulham offered a bumper new contract to keep him at the club.

But Adarabioyo will take his chances elsewhere, with the likes of West Ham, Liverpool, Tottenham and Newcastle previously linked with his services. However, at this time he is not thought to be close to agreeing a move to a new team.

Liverpool are preparing for life after Jurgen Klopp from the end of next month and will also veteran centre-back Joel Matip leave too, when his contract expires.

West Ham could also be looking for a new manager who may want to revamp a defence which has struggled at times this season, whereas Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has made clear he wants to reinforce his backline.

Fulham may have Birmingham City to thank for future cash windfall: View
Jay Stansfield's time at Birmingham City has really helped him to develop and he could go on to make Fulham money in the future

Jay Stansfield's loan move to Birmingham City has been a win-win for all parties involved this season.
Stansfield's success has made him a key player for Birmingham, with interest likely from other clubs this summer.
Birmingham fans would love to keep Stansfield, but his future at the club may depend on their league status next season.

Jay Stansfield has been in very impressive form for Birmingham City this season, and parent club Fulham may have Blues to thank in the years to come.

The 21-year-old has played a lot of football at St Andrew's, and it's been a perfect example of a loan move benefiting all three parties involved.

Birmingham benefited from Stansfield's performances, with the Devon-born attacker being one of their star players this season, whilst Stansfield has reaped the rewards of playing regular football, and Fulham will have a more rounded, better footballer when he returns to the club for pre-season training.

The move to St Andrew's has done Stansfield the world of good, and in a strange way, playing and thriving in a Birmingham side this season, who have been such a basket case at times, can only stand him in good stead for the future.

Fulham may have Birmingham City to thank for any future cash windfall
There's no doubt that Jay Stansfield's move to Birmingham City would have seen his stock rise, and there may be interest in the player this summer, whether that be on loan or on a permanent basis.

The youngster has been a standout performer for the club this season, and he's Blues' top scorer after making it into double figures in the Championship.

In total, Stansfield has played 45 games and counting, and it can't be underestimated how beneficial this has been for his career.

For a young player to thrive on loan at Birmingham in difficult circumstances shows a lot about the player, and Fulham will be fully aware that they've got a talent on their hands.

It remains to be seen what Fulham choose to do with Stansfield next season, but having undertaken something of an apprenticeship in the EFL with loan spells in League One and the Championship in consecutive seasons, he's surely deserving of being in and around Fulham's Premier League squad next season.

If and when the Cottagers decide to sell him in years to come, Birmingham City will be safe in the knowledge that they played a huge role in developing Stansfield, and Fulham know who to thank for any future cash windfall.

Birmingham City would love to keep Jay Stansfield next season
Jay Stansfield has become a fan favourite at St Andrew's this season thanks to his performances, and they would love to keep him at the club next season, but that looks unlikely at the moment.

Birmingham are in grave danger of being relegated to League One next season, and there's absolutely no chance that Stansfield will play for them next season if they're in the third tier.

However, if the club stay up, you'd have thought that they'd test the waters with a move for Stansfield, whether that be on loan, or permanently, if finances permit.

There's bound to be more competitive Championship clubs, or even Premier League sides sniffing around the forward in the summer, so they'll have a battle on their hands to sign him, but given Stansfield's success with the club this summer, they'll be in with a chance.

It's been an utterly miserable campaign on the pitch for Birmingham City this season, but Stansfield has been a real shining light, and regardless of what happens between now and the end of the season, he'll always be well thought of at St Andrew's.

Fulham announce 4% season ticket rise
Fulham have announced a 4% season ticket price increase for adult tickets this afternoon – but the club have frozen prices for juniors and senior concessions.

The development follows fan protests and significant campaigning from the Fulham Supporters' Trust about the price of attending Premier League matches. Fulham increased season tickets by an average of 18% for the 2023/2024 season and individual tickets to watch games at Craven Cottage have often exceeded £100.

The club will also be introducing digital season tickets for next season – with exemptions available for those supporters unable to use a smartphone.

Report: Liverpool and Spurs Prepare Summer Moves for Fulham Defender

Tosin Adarabioyo's Departure: A New Chapter Begins
Unpacking Adarabioyo's Departure from Fulham

Tosin Adarabioyo, Fulham's central defender, has decided not to renew his contract and will leave the club after four impactful years in west London. His decision comes at a time when his contract is set to expire, and he seems ready to embrace new challenges elsewhere. This move marks a significant shift for both Adarabioyo and Fulham, given his considerable contributions over 132 appearances since his transfer from Manchester City.

According to The Evening Standard, a number of clubs have shown interest in Adarabioyo, including Premier League heavyweights like West Ham, Liverpool, Tottenham, and Newcastle. Despite the buzz, it appears he hasn't yet finalized plans on his next destination.

Market Implications of Adarabioyo's Free Agency
Adarabioyo's availability on a free transfer makes him an attractive proposition for many clubs looking to bolster their defence without incurring a transfer fee. His experience in the Premier League and proven track record as a reliable centre-back could see him slot into most top-flight teams with ease.

It's intriguing to consider where Adarabioyo might best fit. Teams like Liverpool, preparing for a transitional period post-Jurgen Klopp and the impending departure of Joel Matip, might view him as a valuable addition to their defensive lineup.

Strategic Loss for Fulham?
Fulham faces the challenge of filling a significant void left by Adarabioyo's departure. His consistent performance and defensive prowess have been key to their setup, and finding a suitable replacement will be crucial for the Cottagers as they strive to maintain their Premier League status.

The question remains: how will Fulham approach the transfer market to address this gap? Will they promote from within, or seek a new signing who can immediately step into Adarabioyo's shoes? This will be a test of Fulham's recruitment strategy and their ability to adapt to changes within their squad.

What's Next for Adarabioyo?
As Adarabioyo looks ahead to the next chapter in his career, the decision on where he will play next is paramount. The interest from several clubs suggests that he will have options, but choosing the right fit will be critical to his continued development and success. The next few weeks will likely be filled with negotiations and decisions for the young defender.

In conclusion, Tosin Adarabioyo's departure from Fulham is a pivotal moment in his career and a reminder of the ever-evolving nature of football careers. His journey reflects the dynamic landscape of the Premier League, where opportunities can emerge swiftly, and decisions must be made with both heart and mind. As he steps into the unknown, the football community will be keen to see where his talents will next be displayed.

Silva wary of Palace threat
Marco Silva has warned his Fulham side of the threat posed by a Crystal Palace side, who are much improved under Oliver Glasner, and have won their last three fixtures.

The Eagles have been boosted by the return of Michael Olise and Ebere Eze and Silva knows that Saturday's opponents will be a tough nut to crack at Craven Cottage. The Fulham head coach told his pre-match press conference this afternoon:

"You can see the results, you can see the performances as well. It's always a big help when you have some key players recovering from injuries as well. You can see Palace, no doubts, they are much stronger if they have Eze and Olise in a very good level, and [Jordan] Ayew in a very good level as well. Now they have these players around and they have a striker in very good form, too – that is [Jean-Philippe] Mateta in very good form.

When you have two young lads, but already with some experience, like Eze and Olise at their top level, they are players that can make a difference against any team in this competition because, in my opinion, they are really two top players. It's up to us now. As I said before, we have to reach our standards, we have to be at our best level – it's going to be tough for them as well – but yes, they are in a good moment.

When you win three in a row in the Premier League, the way they did it, is a very good sign. It means that they have been solid, they have been compact, at the same time they have been showing the quality to score goals, and it's going to be a very good challenge for us."

Silva has challenged his charges to match Palace and provide a response to the disappointing second half against Liverpool last Sunday.

"I think first we have to look for ourselves really, what we can do. We have a way to play, we have a way to approach the games, and this normally doesn't change because we play against team A, B, C, or D, or against player A, B, C, or D.

Of course, we are aware of the threat they are in certain areas of the pitch, certain players as well. For me, Palace has much more value as a collective, but they have key players that you have to control in certain moments of the game, yes."

Tosin tells Fulham he will leave on a free transfer
Tosin Adarabioyo has told Fulham he will leave Craven Cottage on a free transfer this summer after rejecting the club's third offer of a contract extension.

The 26 year-old turned down a significant wage increase and will ply his trade away from Fulham in a significant blow to head coach Marco Silva. Adarabioyo, who has been a regular in the Fulham side since recovering from groin surgery at the start of this season, has made 126 appearances for the Whites, who were hopeful of persuading him to stick with the club as his contract came to an end this summer.

But Adarabioyo has decided to explore his options with interested in his services rumoured to come from several Premier League suitors, including Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, West Ham United and Manchester United, as well as countless continental clubs.

Fulham U21s suffer Spurs defeat
A double from Will Lankshear secured a final PL2 win of the regular league season for table-topping Tottenham Hotspur over Fulham's under 21s at Motspur Park this evening in the Whites' final fixture before the play-offs get underway.

Lankshear, who also hit the post, second either side of half time to give Spurs an impressive victory, although the hosts spurned several clear-cut chances in the first half and will be disappointed not to have got something out of this London derby. Head coach Hayden Mullins made four changes from the side that hammered Chelsea in the Premier League Cup last Friday night and switched to a 5-3-2 system – with Conor McAvoy and Samuel Amissah returning to the starting line-up.

Fulham made the sharper start with Lemar Gordon delivering an inviting low cross but Callum Osmand didn't muster enough conviction with his finish. The visitors went in front through their first real chance of the game as Lankshear converted a loose ball in the box after Jamie Donley's pass had hit Delano McCoy-Splatt and fallen kindly for the in-form forward.

Adrion Pajaziti wasted a good chance to equalise almost immediately when the midfielder sent a header wide from Devan Tanton's cross and the home side were fortunate to escape when Lankshear fired wide having been put through in a one-on-one with the recalled Alfie McNally.

Mullins' men kept probing for a leveller but brilliant defending from Rio Kyerematen prevented Aaron Loupalo-Bi from getting a shot away when well placed and Osmand headed onto the roof of the net after Tanton had progressed into another promising crossing position along the right flank. Amissah might also have brought Fulham level before half time but he missed the target with a free header at the far post after making contract with Gordon's fine ball in.

A tight second half saw both goalkeepers make good saves. Lankshear forced a fine stop from McNally before Tottenham's Luca Gunter parried a powerful drive from distance by Pajaziti. Lankshear hit the post with a fierce drive but then made the points safe for Spurs thirteen minutes from time when he finished off a flowing 29-pass move by clinically converting a through ball from Kyerematen to score his eighteenth league goal of an outstanding campaign.

Fulham kept pushing in the closing stages but Gunter excelled himself again, using his feet to keep out another effort from Osmand, before Gordon lashed the follow-up against the crossbar. Mullins' side finish the league stage in third place in the table – and will have to wait to find out who will finish fourteenth as most of the rest of the top flight still have a game to play.

FULHAM UNDER 21s (5-3-2): McNally; Tanton, Amissah, de Fougerolles, McAvoy (Nwoko 82), Araujo (Slade 68); McCoy-Splatt, Gordon, Pajaziti; Osmand, Loupalo-Bi (Works 80). Subs (not used): Underwood, Olyott.
