I think the central back 3 experiment has to end. Bassey is the best CB at the club and we missed him tonight. Alongside him, it'll be Diop or Anderson and I think Diop based on recent performances.

Castagna was poor tonight but he's played almost every game all season due to the Tete injury so I empathise.

I don't want to see ESR for a few games, and would prefer more Sess and Traore.

We've been better since Diop off and Iwobi on. When we play 5 defenders and 2 holding midfielders we have 8 players whose primary duty is defending and only 3 attacking. Some posters oddly like the formation but are then surprised that the result is like watching a Gareth Southgate team. Can't understand anyone who thinks 5-2-2-1 is anything other than a negative formation. You defend less if you create some problems for the opposition.
