Berge is a cultured footballer but he's a lightweight and will never dominate, Iwobi  can't defend, period!

I don't blame the back 4 at all when you have the cavalry charging through you unchallenged.

As for Iwobi in the middle, I repeatedly said that that's not the solution and that we should get a real midfielder in the January window. But most people here and on twitter said how that's the solution to all of our problems and that Berge-Lukic midfield was one of our biggest problems. If we were only going to get one player in it really should have been another midfielder and not Bobb, as we're in deep trouble with both Lukic and TC out.

I think the Iwobi #8 experiment is done, maybe he can play as a #10 but it's basically Berge in midfield by himself at this point. Reed is a far inferior footballer but he will play for the badge and get stuck in which can't be any worse

I feel sorry for Iwobi too. I don't think it's his fault. He is clearly doing his best. I think there are systems in which he can play in the middle, but he has pretty much no attributes needed for the 8 role in our system.

You can just imagine the job interview "So tell me Marco how would you go about beating Citeh" "Erm....."

Perhaps someone could let off the fire alarms or something... use their imagination?

Mark O’Silver

I think Marco is on a hiding to nothing, they are too good for us whatever tactics he uses I think the result would be the same.

Harry Wilson purple patch over

That first half was woeful..like a practice match for them. Like they were playing Exeter City again. Why do we always go backwards to Leno and across the back and then lose it? Ok, they are a good side but we are not at the races. Why do we always roll over for City? Other teams are more physical against them. Make it difficult for them. We are 15 yards too deep and we have nobody near their players when they receive the ball, they can turn, run at us and play it wide with no challenges. Silva needs to get into them and the players need to show some respect for the badge this second half. We are so passive. No leaders, no passion.

SerbianLad

I hope we see 3 subs at half time(or at the very least 2).

Bloody hell, Burnley winning 3-2 now!

Milo

At least Wilson and Silva's contracts will be a little cheaper in the summer.

Looks like we are missing a proper Prem level central midfielder.

That's the problem, he just does the sam thing against City as he would for any other team and it's so predictable. City isn't the sort of team you play away with a wide open midfield with two CM's who aren't naturally holding midfielders and invite pressure on by slowly building up from the back. He's already lost 16 in a row so you'd think he might've learned that lesson by now

Coastwalker

Burnley have come from 2 down at Palace to lead 2-3.

HobGoblin

Not interested in Silva staying. He has run his course and should leave end of the season, need fresh ideas, definitely need a proper captain in the side, which Cairney is not, guy is to nice.

Almost like we didn't really need to spend 27m on another winger, when in fact we just needed a MF.
