Cairney close to clinching new Fulham contract
Fulham captain Tom Cairney is close to clinching one more year at Craven Cottage, according to Give Me Sport.

The Scottish midfielder's ten year stint in SW6 appeared to be coming to end after he had failed to reach agreement with the Fulham hierarchy over a new deal – but the 34 year-old now seems set to snub lucrative approaches from a clutch of Championship clubs, including Wrexham, and a host of foreign sides to remain part of Marco Silva's squad.

Cairney, who led the Whites to two Wembley Championship play-off victories, has made 354 appearances and scored 47 goals since signing for Fulham from Blackburn Rovers in June 2015. The peerless playmaker has played a pivotal role in re-establishing London's oldest professional outfit as a Premier League force, with his header at Brentford last month helping Silva's side secure their first win in Hounslow since his stoppage-time strike at Griffin Park eight years ago.

Keeping Cairney at the Cottage will be a big boost for Silva, who is set to lose the services of right back Kenny Tete next week after the Dutch defender decided to join Everton on a free transfer.

Fulham table improved terms to Tete
Fulham have offered Kenny Tete improved terms in a late attempt to prevent the Dutch right back from joining Everton on a free transfer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The 29 year-old's five season stint in SW6 appeared set to come to an end earlier this week when he agreed to sign for the Toffees on a free transfer. That still seems likely, but Fulham have tabled a new offer to try and keep their first choice full back at Craven Cottage. The news follows reports earlier this afternoon that Tom Cairney could also remain with Fulham for a further year following a breakthrough in the captain's contract discussions with the club.

'Leeds submitting new Rodrigo Muniz offer as Fulham plan revealed'
Leeds United are preparing a new offer to sign Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz after seeing their first bid turned down by the West London club.

That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that Daniel Farke's side are prepared to spend "mega" money this summer.

The 24-year-old forward has emerged among the top targets at Elland Road as they aim to strengthen their squad to stay in the Premier League.

However, Football Insider revealed on 23 June that Fulham are confident of pricing Leeds out of a move for Muniz as they are determined to keep their star man.

The Cottagers turned down an offer worth £32million for the Brazilian and are prepared to hold out against offers which could eventually exceed £40million.

This comes after Football Insider revealed that Leeds want to sign a new striker as a priority this summer amid concerns about Patrick Bamford and Joel Piroe.

Leeds prepare big-money offer for Rodrigo Muniz
Brown told Football Insider in April that Leeds are prepared to spend big this summer with six potential signings on their radar including the addition of a new striker.

The former scout who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, insisted that Leeds are preparing a fresh offer for Muniz in the hope of tempting Fulham to sell.

"Leeds are trying to strengthen their squad for the Premier League," he told Football Insider.

"If clubs come out without financial backing behind them, it's difficult to strengthen well enough.

"Joel Piroe and Patrick Bamford are Championship players, that's the issue Leeds have at the moment they haven't got many Premier League-level players.

"So they're aiming to bring in players with that experience at the top level, and they accept they might have to pay mega money to do that.

"Muniz is one of those and he's now emerged as one of their top targets.

"Their first bid was turned down but from what I hear, that won't be the end of it.

"If £32million wasn't enough, I'd expect the deal eventually to go up to around £40million and then it will be up to Fulham to make a decision.

"The problem if you go anywhere above that fee, you expect a real top player and for those you'll be competing with the likes of Man United and Chelsea.

"It's not an easy market to be competitive in, and there isn't an abundance of strikers available.

"Muniz is one Leeds feel would make them stronger, so they'll see if they can get him in, but a lot of it will depend on what Fulham are asking for."

Leicester City eye Sam Greenwood deal after Vardy latest
Leeds are planning to strengthen up front this summer, but that could see some of their fringe players forced out of Elland Road on permanent moves.

Brown told Football Insider on 23 June that Leicester are interested in signing Sam Greenwood following his loan spell at Preston North End.

Leicester are in the market for a new striker after Jamie Vardy announced he would leave the club upon the expiry of his contract at the end of this month.

Football Insider exclusively revealed on 9 May that Wolves are in pole position to sign Vardy while the likes of Leeds and Wrexham have also been linked.

"There were options" – Father says player choose to stay at Fulham amid offers, opens up on failed big move
Raúl Jiménez bas been a regular for Fulham this season, scoring 14 goals and registering three assists from 43 games.
Report Ad

His contract was set to expire on June 30th, but last month Fulham extend it for another year. Prior to the renewal, the striker was linked with a move away from the London club.

ESPN Deportes have had a chat with the Mexico international's father, Raúl Jiménez Sr. and he revealed his son had offers to leave Fulham this summer.

Jiménez Sr said the 33-year-old has decided to continue at Fulham to improve his chances of playing at the 2026 World Cup.

"Fortunately, Raúl has always had, there were options, but he chose the main one. The one he wanted, and he said he was staying in London. They needed another year," he said.

Raúl Jiménez is likely to have an important role under Marco Silva at the Premier League side next season.

Fulham took the former Benfica man from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2023. He spent four years at Wolves and during his time Molineux, Juventus and a few others wanted him.

He suffered a serious head injury in November 2020. The Fulham player's father opened up about when the Serie A club showed interest and why the big move didn't materialise.

"Juventus, to name a team, but there were four top teams from different leagues, and we were close to nothing, but the pandemic and the injury hit, and then nothing happened," Jiménez Sr. explained.

"Why didn't he join the Turin team? Yes [it was the pandemic], because at that time, all the teams said no, that right now we wouldn't buy him and asked for a loan, and the team didn't want him anymore.

"Raúl has had very good offers, I'll just tell you this quickly. Before the injury, we were already with four top teams, all very good, but the injury came, and it wasn't possible. We were already with top teams, but the pandemic hit, and there were no more signings. Everything was on loan, and it didn't happen anymore; that's football."

nternationals: Luc joins Raúl in knockouts
Canada qualified for the Quarter-Finals of the Gold Cup after beating El Salvador 2-0 in Houston on Wednesday morning.

Luc De Fougerolles started as Canada claimed top spot in the group, qualifying with seven points from three games.

Two huge chances went begging in a first-half of frustration for Canada as Promise David failed to hit the target with a close-range header, while Jonathan David saw a penalty saved by Mario González.

But El Salvador were reduced to nine-men late into the first period, allowing Jesse Marsch's side to take full control within 10 minutes of the second-half, as goals from Jonathan David and Tajon Buchanan helped set up a Quarter-Final tie against Guatemala on Sunday.

Luc – who featured in all three of Canada's group matches – played 77 minutes of the tie before being replaced by Bristol City's Jamie Knight-Lebel.

Canada face Guatemala on Sunday in Minnesota.

Fulham improve contract proposals for Blues target Kenny Tete
Fulham have sent a new contract with better terms to right-back Kenny Tete whose current deal with the club expires in a few weeks, reports transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Tete has been strongly linked with a move to Everton and reports claimed that there was a verbal agreement between the club and the player's representatives to join as a free agent. However, the West London side have improved their contract proposal and are intent on keeping the 29-year-old at Craven Cottage for a few more years.

"Both Fulham and Everton have proposals on the table now for the right back who's available as a free agent. Final decision soon," Fabrizio Romano tweeted.

It's up to the Dutch international now to make the choice whether to stay at the club he joined five years ago or be part of an exciting new era for the Blues at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Fulham joins the race for Arsenal player who is on the move
Oleksandr Zinchenko appears increasingly likely to depart Arsenal during this transfer window, as signs continue to suggest his time at the club is nearing its end. The Ukrainian left-back is now in the final year of his contract, and the Gunners have not shown any intention of offering a renewal. This lack of clarity about his future is fueling speculation that his days at the Emirates Stadium are numbered.

New Arrivals Shift Arsenal's Plans
Zinchenko was once considered a crucial figure in Mikel Arteta's side. His ability to invert into midfield and control possession made him an important tactical asset. However, the recent rise of academy talent Myles Lewis-Skelly and the acquisition of Riccardo Calafiori have significantly altered the left-back hierarchy. Zinchenko now finds himself on the periphery of the squad, and Arsenal is preparing to part ways with him.

Several clubs are keeping a close watch on his situation. AC Milan has reportedly shown strong interest in recent weeks, and it seemed they were the frontrunners to secure his signature. However, the transfer race has taken a new twist with the emergence of another Premier League contender.

Fulham Joins the Race
According to a report from Talk Sport, Fulham has become the latest club to express a firm interest in Zinchenko. The London-based side values his top-flight experience and sees him as someone who can bring leadership and technical quality to their squad. Fulham is expected to push hard in the coming days to secure his services and challenge Milan for his signature.

A source close to the situation was quoted as saying, "Fulham are serious about bringing in experienced players this summer, and Zinchenko is high on their list." With the player seemingly open to new opportunities, a deal could materialise quickly if negotiations progress.

Arsenal is not expected to stand in Zinchenko's way. They would prefer to cash in now rather than risk losing him for free next summer. While it remains to be seen which club will win the race, it is becoming increasingly clear that Zinchenko's Arsenal chapter is nearing its conclusion.

Kyle Walker-Peters wants Tottenham return
Crystal Palace, Fulham, and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing 28-year-old English full-back Kyle Walker-Peters in a Bosman move this summer.

According to a report by Give Me Sport, Kyle Walker-Peters will likely leave Southampton as a free agent in the summer transfer window. The English full-back has no shortage of suitors vying for his signature, with Crystal Palace, Fulham, and Tottenham Hotspur keen on signing him. Meanwhile, the player is keen on returning to the North London club in a Bosman move.

Kyle Walker-Peters and his Southampton story
Kyle Walker-Peters has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining Southampton from Tottenham Hotspur in 2020. The Saints initially completed a loan deal for the London-born full-back before completing a permanent move in the subsequent summer transfer window.

The 28-year-old has turned out over 200 times thus far for Southampton while chipping in with seven goals and 12 assists. However, Walker-Peters is reaching the end of the line at St. Mary's, as he has entered the final week of his contract with the Saints. Meanwhile, the English full-back has no shortage of suitors pursuing his signature, with Crystal Palace, Fulham, and Tottenham keen on signing him in the summer transfer window.

London return on the horizon?
Crystal Palace will likely dip into the market for a right-back in the summer transfer window after parting ways with Joel Ward. So, the Eagles have been scouring the market for a long-term replacement, with Walker-Peters emerging as a viable target for the South London club.

Meanwhile, Fulham's interest in Kyle Walker-Peters is understandable. The Cottagers are keen on reinforcing their defensive unit by signing a right-back in the summer transfer window as Kenny Tete closes in on completing a Bosman move to Everton. So, the soon-to-be-free agent has emerged as a viable target for Fulham.

As for Tottenham Hotspur, it is unclear why Walker-Peters is a target for the North London club. With Djed Spence making his mark in the 2024/25 season, the Lilywhites already have two top-notch right-backs. Nevertheless, the 28-year-old Englishman is a target for Tottenham, with the player keen on rejoining them in the summer transfer window.

So, while Crystal Palace and Fulham have expressed their interest to Walker-Peters's entourage, they face a tall order to beat Tottenham to his signature. So, it will be interesting to see where the English full-back plies his trade in the 2025/26 season.

Everton, Brentford, West Ham and Fulham keen on Ipswich star
Premier League Clubs Circle as Hutchinson Emerges from Ipswich's Shadows

There is something about the modern winger that evokes both nostalgia and possibility. In the binary language of formations and expected goals, the wide man remains the romantic outlier — raw, unpredictable, often infuriating but occasionally transcendent. Ipswich Town's Omari Hutchinson fits this mould perfectly, and as the Daily Mail reports, he has now become the Premier League's most wanted young wide attacker.

Versatility More Valuable Than Volume
Four goals, two assists and a £30 million price tag. It reads like an unspectacular stat sheet but in football's current economy, raw numbers no longer tell the full story. Clubs now covet elasticity. Can a player operate in three zones? Can they invert or overlap, switch flanks, track back, create chaos?

This is what Unai Emery, speaking to Mail Sport, identifies as the true marker of value: "Versatility over every other quality." It is why Morgan Rogers, once of Middlesbrough, is now among the continent's most admired wide forwards.

Hutchinson is drawing similar attention. Brentford, Fulham, West Ham and Everton have all been linked. So too have Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig, because of course they have — no club moves quicker when English inefficiency leaves talent underappreciated.

Reputation Built in Defeat, Not Dominance
Hutchinson's season with Ipswich — ultimately ending in relegation — was not filled with goals or viral moments. But it was rich in maturity. He scored against Manchester United, Chelsea and Spurs. He completed 95 successful dribbles, a number equalling Rogers, and bettered across Europe's top five leagues only by Florian Wirtz and Désiré Doué. The latter two now reside in Champions League royalty. The former plied his trade in a team scrapping for Premier League survival.

It is precisely this context that complicates the discourse. How do you quantify a player's growth in an environment designed for struggle? How do you separate the sprouting vine from the crumbling trellis?

Future Worth Hinges on Environment
The concern is whether Hutchinson's growth continues upwards or stalls under the weight of expectation. Everton have their Jarrod Bowen parallel. "Bowen had played 141 senior matches when West Ham signed him. Hutchinson had 60 before last season," notes Mail Sport. At 21, Hutchinson still has much to learn. But he also has attributes that cannot be taught — burst, audacity, the ability to break structure with a shift of hips and a straightening of laces.

David Moyes is reportedly interested in repeating the Bowen trick, this time in a blue shirt at Everton. There is irony in a manager so often accused of risk-aversion chasing a player as naturally unstructured as Hutchinson.

Premier League Awaits, But Not Without Cost
If Hutchinson moves this summer, as seems increasingly likely, Ipswich will have little choice but to cash in. His exit will sting, especially given how well Kieran McKenna nurtured him. But it is the inevitable consequence of success at a club without financial cushioning.

The story, in the end, is about potential. About how Premier League clubs, starved of affordable centre-forwards, now seek their salvation in the flanks. About how dribblers — once marginalised by formations and possession matrices — are now prized above the functional.

Hutchinson may not be ready to lead a line, or even start every week. But in a footballing age where structure dominates, his chaos is currency. And somebody, somewhere, is going to bet big on it.

Our View – EPL Index Analysis
For Ipswich fans, this feels like a familiar crossroads, only sharper than most. On one side, pride. Omari Hutchinson came here for opportunity and found it. On the other hand, fear. His departure would gut the side of one of its few sparks in an otherwise forgettable top-flight campaign.

There's a growing concern among supporters that Ipswich are becoming a stepping stone club, good enough to develop talent, not to retain it. Losing Hutchinson now — just as he matures, just as he seems ready to explode — feels like a surrender, however logical the finances may appear.

"£30 million won't help us score goals next season," one fan said on a forum this week. The logic is brutal. Ipswich were relegated. They need to rebuild. But selling your brightest light, once again, to prop up a budget that doesn't match ambition is exhausting.

The worry is not just about Hutchinson leaving. It's about what remains — and whether Ipswich will ever be the kind of club that doesn't just polish talent but keeps it long enough to see it shine.

de Fougerolles helps Canada into last eight
Fulham centre back Luc de Fougerolles played 77 minutes as Canada beat nine-man El Salvador 2-0 in Houston this morning to reach the quarter-finals of the Gold Cup.

The Canadians dominated the first period but struggled to break down a stubborn El Salvadorian defence, with Jonathan David seeing a first half penalty saved. But El Salvador's ill-discipline cost them any chance of progression, with experienced midfielder Santos Ortiz seeing red for two bookings before Jairo Henriquez was dismissed for elbowing Alistair Johnston in the face.

Canada quickly made their numerical advantage pay as David made amends for his penalty miss by slotting home after a beautiful ball by Mathieu Choiniere and Buchanan rifled home the clinching second just two minutes later.

Jesse Marsch's side will now play Guatemala in Minnesota on Sunday.

Fulham interest has 'concretely ignited' – Club actively looking for deal
Late last night, Gianluca di Marzio reported Fulham are interested in signing Inter Milan striker Mehdi Taremi.

The Iran international had a difficult 2024/25 season at the Italian giants after arriving on a free transfer from FC Porto and his early exit from the San Siro is very much on the cards.

Calciomercato provide more details about his future and say that Fulham's interest has 'concretely ignited' in the 32-year-old.

They believe that Inter are pushing for the player's exit and are looking around to find a 'new home' for the Iranian.

Intermediaries are currently also at work to help Taremi find a new destination and it is inroads made by his agent that have attracted interest from Fulham.

Marco Silva's side are yet to make any offer but they will face some competition from Turkish clubs. Inter want suitors to come forward quickly, because their owners Oaktree management see Taremi as surplus to requirements and money from his exit will be used to sign another striker.

Fulham do not necessarily need to make a permanent offer to sign the ex-Porto man as the Nerazzurri will be happy with an initial loan with an option to buy deal.

Premier League star who played for Newcastle, Sunderland and Fulham declared bankrupt
A Premier League footballer from the 90s and 2000s has been declared bankrupt - putting his £2m mansion at risk of being seized.

Between 1990 and 2006, the English midfielder played 440 games for Newcastle United, Sunderland and Fulham, bagging 60 goals in the process.

Now, Lee Clark has been declared bankrupt, placing his £2m mansion in Jesmond and other high-value assets at risk of seizure.

The 52-year-old is facing the potential loss of his home, bank accounts, and personal savings after a bankruptcy petition was filed by York-based finance firm One Stop Business.

When approached by the Mirror outside his Newcastle property, Clark said: "I have no idea. I have no comment to make. I know nothing."

Bankruptcy proceedings typically allow for the seizure of assets to repay unsecured debts. In Clark's case, that could include his home and any other possessions of value unless the debt is addressed.

One Stop Business's legal action follows reported financial difficulties and raises the possibility that Clark's long-standing assets could be liquidated to settle what he owes.

Clark, who made more than 200 appearances for Newcastle and was part of Kevin Keegan's famous "Entertainers" side, joined rivals Sunderland in 1997 for a £2.5m transfer fee.

His playing career spanned more than a decade before he moved into management with clubs including Huddersfield Town, Birmingham City, and Bury.

Fulham showing 'concrete interest' in Inter Milan striker
Fulham are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan striker Mehdi Taremi this summer.

The 32-year-old spent four years with Portuguese giants Porto before he joined Inter on a free transfer last year.

However, Taremi was unable to establish himself in the Inter side, starting just 18 of his 43 competitive appearances last term.

While there has been a change of manager at Inter, Taremi is unlikely to get the chance to impress new head coach Cristian Chivu.

The Nerazzurri are ready to part ways with Taremi this summer, even though he is under contract until the summer of 2027.

Fulham eyeing Taremi swoop
According to Calcio Mercato, Fulham could present Taremi with the opportunity to move to the Premier League this summer.

The report states that Fulham's interest has 'concretely ignited', although they are yet to make an official offer for the experienced striker.

Inter would like to offload Taremi in a permanent transfer, but they are willing to consider a loan move with an obligation to buy.

Fulham are not the only club weighing up a potential move for Taremi, with Gianluca Di Marzio reporting that Nottingham Forest and Besiktas are among his admirers.

Why are Fulham considering a new striker?
Fulham boss Marco Silva can currently call upon Rodrigo Muniz and Raul Jimenez as his main centre-forward options last season.

Muniz scored eight goals in 31 Premier League appearances, while Jimenez netted 12 goals in 38 top-flight matches.

Fulham may not view a new striker as a priority for their summer business, but they may still be keen to add further depth to their forward options, especially as Carlos Vinicius is set to depart.

The Brazilian striker will become a free agent when his Fulham contract expires at the end of June.

Everton, Fulham, West Ham United vying for Omari Hutchinson
Everton, Fulham, and West Ham United are all linked with a move for Omari Hutchinson as the attacker could leave the relegated Ipswich Town.

According to The Daily Mail, Omari Hutchinson could be seen as a smart addition by some of the top-flight clubs, as the attacker looks to exit Ipswich Town. Everton, Fulham, and West Ham United are all interested in the relegated star, who remains keen on playing at the highest level, either in the Premier League or abroad.

Omari Hutchinson had to work tremendously hard to get where he is, which includes making key career decisions as well as choosing a side that were the favourites to get relegated. Following his rise as an Arsenal academy star, he chose to join Chelsea with the hope of getting chances in the first team.

That was not the case at Stamford Bridge as he was barely used during his time but excelled while on loan at Ipswich Town in the Championship. His performances for Kieran McKenna's side in the second tier helped them gain promotion, and he was good enough on the return to the top flight, which eventually ended with a relegation back to the Championship.

Omari Hutchinson brings a level of versatility that teams are constantly looking for in the market. He prefers to operate as the attacking midfielder but also plays on either wing. Hence, it makes a lot of sense for clubs like Fulham, Everton, and West Ham United, as Ipswich Town want around £30 million to sell the attacker which seems similar to their price point for new Chelsea man Liam Delap.

The 21-year-old attacking sensation is ready to leave the Tractor Boys for a return to top-flight football. He may not want to play in the EFL Championship, as a move back to the Premier League or even a European team might suit Hutchinson.

Omari Hutchinson back to the Premier League?
Hutchinson does have interest from Everton, West Ham, and Fulham. The Toffees are in the market to improve their fortunes in the attacking third, as a spell under David Moyes might be good for the 21-year-old attacking sensation's development. They are already looking at attacking options, with the Ipswich Town man now firmly on their list.

Fulham are also in the market for fresh attacking reinforcements despite having two renowned attacking midfielders in Andreas Pereira and Emile Smith Rowe but may view Hutchinson as a good enough option.

As for West Ham, they could lose Mohammed Kudus, who has recently changed agents and is primed to leave the London Stadium for a bigger move in his career. Hutchinson could be seen as his viable replacement with the price point also likely to suit the Hammers.

Rangers open contract talks with Nicolas Raskin
Aston Villa, Fulham, and Leeds United could face frustrations in their chase of Nicolas Raskin as Rangers have opened contract talks with the Belgian midfielder.

A report by TEAMtalk has claimed that Rangers have opened contract talks with Nicolas Raskin and intensifying their efforts to keep hold of the midfielder. The move could frustrate Aston Villa among others as the Premier League team had set sights on the Belgian star for this window.

Nicolas Raskin has made a huge impact on Rangers, with the Scottish giants eager to build their team around him. The Ibrox outfit have been impressed by the Belgian's application on the pitch and how he improves the side to a great extent.

Hence, they are not leaning towards a big sale of their star and instead remain keen to tie him down to a new deal. Rangers have opened talks over a new contract, which could be seen as a proactive step from the Scottish giants to secure his future rather than reactive amid growing interest from elsewhere.

Whether Rangers are successful in their efforts remains to be seen. Having previously valued the midfielder at £25 million, the Ibrox outfit have now increased it by £5 million to £30 million. Should Nicolas Raskin leave for a fee between £25-30 million, he would be their record sale and easily surpass the fee they received for Calvin Bassey.

A host of English clubs have been interested before, including Aston Villa, Fulham and Leeds United. Those teams are set for a frustrating time should the £30 million-rated midfielder end up renewing his deal. Given his current deal expires in 2026, the midfielder will likely cost more on a longer contract at Ibrox, something interested clubs want to avoid.

Aston Villa are keen on Nicolas Raskin
Aston Villa had stepped up their interest in Raskin lately, with the club viewing him as a cost-effective signing that strengthens their midfield options. The Birmingham-based side are not short of midfielders at the moment with Raskin's compatriots Youri Tielemans and Amadou Onana the main choices alongside Boubacar Kamara.

Amid the PSR-related concerns at Villa Park, Emery's side might see the wisdom in recruiting a player like Nicolas Raskin for the £30 million-rated midfielder as a smart investment as Villa may not have to break the bank to secure a top-rated midfielder.

Aston Villa will be keeping close tabs on those contract talks over in Ibrox for the £30 million-rated midfielder, and they will readily pounce at the right time if things do go south. However, with Fulham and Leeds United also keen, the West Midlands outfit face a nervous wait. While Fulham may need to replace Andreas Pereira, Leeds United are eager to reinforce their squad to suit the Premier League

Everton plan to derail Kenny Tete's new contract with Fulham
Tete is out of contract at Fulham but the Cottagers had been confident of a new deal until Everton swooped

Everton are looking to derail Kenny Tete's contract renegotiation with Fulham, after offering a three-year contract.

The respected Dutch right-back's current deal runs out at the end of June, meaning he could move on a free transfer, but the Craven Cottage hierarchy have been confident of a new agreement.

Everton are currently attempting to change that, as they proactively push for Tete. The 29-year-old has a three-year offer from Everton on the table improved terms.

He joined Fulham back in 2020 from French side Lyon and has made almost 120 appearances for the London side since. He played 22 times for the Cottagers in the season just gone as they finished 11th in the Premier League.

Tete made his debut for the Netherlands as a 20-year-old back in 2015 and has won 14 caps in total, although he hasn't pulled on the orange jersey since 2021.

Everton are in the market for a right-back with both Seamus Coleman and Nathan Patterson seemingly constantly battling injury. Coleman also turns 37 in October and it's not clear how much time he has left at the top level.

Exclusive: Fulham plot sensational Harvey Elliott return as Liverpool exit nears
Fulham are plotting a sensational move to bring Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott back to the club this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The winger came through the youth ranks with the Cottagers, and made his first-team debut for the club in September 2018 when he was still just 15-years-old.

That was one of three first-team appearances that Elliott made for the London club across all competitions.

He was then sold to Liverpool in the summer of 2019, but is now in line for a return to Craven Cottage this summer.

Harvey Elliott in line for Liverpool exit
This season, Elliott has found himself slipping down the pecking order at Anfield under new manager Arne Slot.

The 22-year-old started just two Premier League games this season as the Reds charged to the Premier League title.

As a result, Elliott has been backed to leave Liverpool this summer, and the player himself has hinted he is keen to move in order to play more regularly.

It is understood Wolves are keen to sign Elliott this summer, but they are facing competition from elsewhere in the Premier League for his services.

The winger is expected to move on from Merseyside this summer, and Fulham are now looking to take advantage of that by lining up a move to re-sign the winger, six years after he left Craven Cottage.

Fulham need wide reinforcements
Marco Silva's side are yet to make any new signings this summer, following their 11th place finish in the Premier League last season.

There have though been departures from the club already, with Willian leaving Fulham for a second time following the expiration of his contract.

That ensures that the Cottagers are in need of reinforcements out wide as they aim to freshen up their squad for the new campaign.

On Wednesday (25 June), Elliott scored twice in a stunning performance for England Under-21s to guide them to a place in the Euro 2025 final with a 2-1 win over their counterparts from the Netherlands.

That showing will only have added to the interest in the winger as Fulham plot a reunion with their former academy graduate.

As things stand, there are two years remaining on Elliott's contract with Liverpool, ensuring his current side are in a strong position to negotiate bids that come in for him this summer.

Fulham table 'improved contract offer' to Kenny Tete in last-ditch attempt to ward off Everton interest
Fulham have reportedly tabled a fresh contract offer in a last-ditch bid to keep right-back Kenny Tete.

The Cottagers have so far failed in their efforts to agree a contract with Tete, who is set to become a free agent from July 1.

A recent report claimed that the Dutchman is prepared to leave Fulham for fellow Premier League side Everton.

There is a belief that the defender has already reached a verbal agreement with Everton over a three-year contract.

The Toffees are in the market for a new right-back, with Ashley Young set to leave as a free agent and Seamus Coleman yet to agree a new deal.

Fulham table fresh Tete contract offer
However, Fulham are not giving up hope that they can persuade Tete to extend his stay with Marco Silva's side.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Fulham have made an improved contract offer to Tete in a last-ditch attempt to keep him at Craven Cottage.

Tete will now have to decide whether to pen fresh terms with Fulham, or try a fresh challenge with Everton as they enter a new era at their new stadium.

The update states that a final decision is expected soon, with Tete's current contract set to expire at the end of the month.

How important is Tete to Fulham?
The 29-year-old has made over 100 appearances since joining the West London club from Lyon in the summer of 2020.

The defender was part of the side that won promotion from the Championship in 2021-22 and has gone on to help the club establish themselves back in the Premier League.

Tete is regarded as Silva's first-choice right-back, although he was restricted to 22 Premier League appearances last term due to a knee injury.

While he may have spent time on the sidelines, Tete remains a key part of the Fulham squad and would leave a significant void if he were to depart.

The Cottagers would have to recruit wisely to replace Tete if he decides to turn down their latest contract offer.
