So chuffed for this landladt are the ruling!  magic!

When the tv money disappears, no more fat cat contracts for the players. The tv companies won't hesitate to pull the rug away, like they did with the football league a while back.
Football will need to take a long hard look at it's future.

Personally, I see a lot of games on tv in America. However, rather than watch a neutral match on a large screen, I watch Fulham on a post card size screen. (My computer). You can argue it is not free either because I pay for my internet connection. I think most fans prefer to watch their own team, so why should a pub in London, for example, pay a ton of money and then screen Sunderland v blackburn. Outside of the two towns, who cares?

Yeah, this was great news. Well done to her for standing up to the big men with money. Going to be interesting to see if this is upheld, I imagine Sky will continue to fight their corner.

:clap_hands:
Do they ever show any Fulham games in Argentina FP or do you have to hope the streams are working?

Fortunately we have 6 to 7 Premier League matches every week. Some of them i had to watch them on the computer (Stoke, WBA, Wolves, etc) but against the top teams i watched them on ESPN or FOX.

What do you prefer best English or Argentine football?

FP

English football by far. Argentine football is boring, lacks pace and the league is not very competitive (the best players leave for Europe when they're very young)
I went to see my former club here once this year, I am 100% Fulham now, I don't watch Argentine football any more

Top man FP  :54: . Are many Argentinians into English football ?

jarv

FP, I watched Argentine games on fox a few years ago. I thought they were ok, tackles flying in, quite spicy! :dft007:

There are many people here into English football. This past weekend you could watch seven games (six of them live). There are no pubs here but when you meet at work on monday many people had watched some game (most of them follow Tevez, Arsenal, Man Utd.....) but there is great knlowledge of the PL here.

League here starts next weekend, you can find some good games every now and then but you will never have a 4-4, a 5-3, a 4-3 and a 3-0 in the same weekend.

Finally I understand why you invaded the Falklands. Port Stanley has at least one.

A female justice's decision.  Someone from Sky better go over and explain the law to her.

Sadly you might be right since the one that decided that was very fond of alcohol

Before we start slapping the lady on the back for beating Sky, and look towards the end of 'Big Money' in the sport that has apparently ruined it, lets look at the bigger picture.

How many of those Prem games do you believe will be televised at all if the revenue stream for the broadcasters (take that as those that own and operate the cameras at each game and produce the transmission stream)  dries up? It will be left to the individual clubs to ensure their own games are transmitted and then how much will they want to charge for such a service.  No body likes what money has done to football in general, and the Prem in particular, but likewise, nobody can argue that with the big bucks came big exposure, especially to other countries, which, in turn, produces revenue for such clubs both directly (buying kits etc on club websites) and indirectly (more sponsorship monies from companies in those countries that have such broadcasts).

Perhaps it might push attendances back up to pre-TV days and perhaps the price of tickets will need to increase, even in the short term, to cover existing contracts that cannot be met from TV-source revenue (direct and indirect).

I don't want to be the damp squid, but there is this 800 lb Gorilla sitting in the corner, one that we cannot ignore either.
