St Eve

Probably gone this weekend

Now that would be ironic

Slaphead in Qatar

Made it easier for us than it should have been. They were so slow in their build up.

Their defending was atrocious, even worse than ours. First two goals we scored were particularly poor. Some credit goes to our players obviously, but it was some of the worst defending I've ever seen.

I think that what decided the game was the quality of our attackers in the final third.

In Parker's post match interview he looked like a broken man!

I think he's probably a decent bloke but in football terms the Emperor's new clothes comes to mind, he thinks he's special and too many people believe his BS!

Baszab

He's a really nice bloke - don't believe all that stuff  from punters who don't know him

He was nearly in tears in the interview

copthornemike

I think the second goal they scored today will put off the inevitable.

I'm not sure a new manager would get a better tune out of them. They're certainly still playing for him but decimated with injuries, lost a good player last summer and must be low on confidence.

Fulham 1879

If he's sacked after losing the next game against Bournemouth then his two former teams will have delivered the coup de grace.

SP

Not sure what game he was watching:

"There are massive positives from today."

I actually thought there were some positives for them. By far the best they've looked offensively. They were atrocious defensively and a lot of their good attacking play was due to our poor defending, but still. I think it was one of their better performances this season. Sunderland and Wolves for example looked like worse teams against us.

Leno made 6 saves on another day with better attackers they would have won today or even drew.

SP is a great Championship manager but the prem is a step too far

I wouldn't say he's a great Championship manager. He underperformed at both Fulham and Bournemouth. Let's be honest, on paper, we had the best squad that season we went up, yet we barely scraped promotion due to Joe Bryan's heroics. At Bournemouth he had the second best team and by some margin and even though they finished the season well there were times where it looked like they might miss out on automatic promotion. Of course in the PL with Bournemouth they were horrible, they fired him and they were very good, with exactly the same team and a different manager. He was obviously very poor in Belgium too.

I would say he's a decent Championship manager though, even if his football is usually quite dull to watch.

Has already been said looked a broken man in a post match interview

Dodgin

If he goes, a job awaits in the Championship

I think Pep could takeover at Burnley and they'd still get relegated.

Their last season in the EPL ended with relegation under Kompany who went on to win the Bundesliga.

I'm not defending Parker as I don't rate him as a manager but Burnley's recruitment must be questionable

If you finish 2nd with 100+ points and only conceded 16 goals that makes you a great championship manager

Championship had a lot of terrible teams last season. One of the easiest Championships ever.

Hmm. The way he tried to skin us whilst having the Bournemouth job lined up suggests his niceness is situation specific.

Whether he's naughty or nice can be left to a higher authority.  As a season ticket holder I didn't feel his brand of football gave me as much enjoyment of games as I would have liked.  He got us promoted, then struggled, as did Jokanovic.  But Slavisa's football was enjoyable and I have far warmer memories of his time in charge.

Football's difficult and as the manager of a promoted team the situation is stacked against you.  Some manage to pull off the "staying up" feat, it's just that Scott Parker, again, looks like he won't.  A roll of the managerial dice at Burnley now seems more likely than not.
