I have the great privilege of knowing Chris and his wife Joan about 20 years ago, they were a lovely couple and my heart goes out to Joan and his daughters Josephine and Julia

Thats a terrible shame

My wife was watching him on telly only a couple of days ago and he said he was actually banned from driving when he wrote Driving Home For Christmas

RIP Chris
Remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
I will be as good as I can be and when I cross the finishing line I will see what it got me

Sad news...
Loved the fact that he always seemed very grounded.

What a great guy and musician
Suffered terrible medical problems for so long but never seemed angry or resentful about it. Just carried on playing his music
RIP Chris

Nick Bateman

He made one of my favourite Christmas songs and was taken far too soon.

Nick Bateman "knows his footie"

Fool if You Think It's Over

He had some awesome songs, very original sound.

So did my wife.

His parents had an ice cream shop, and Chris took his driving test in an ice cream van!

As mentioned above, Chris was on Gone Fishing with Bob and Paul...

Blimey he lived with all that for 30 years or so. What a great fella.

Rest Up now 🙏

RIP Chris. Revered very much for being the anti pop star. Well certainly by me. My thoughts are with  your wife and children.
