I'm thinking of buying a couple of tickets for Saturday but I've never sat in the Riverside Stand before,
Has anyone sat in R35 before?
If so how do you access it and is there a lift or do you use stairs?
And what are the facilities like ?
Thanks

I sit in row 29 - it is steep but manageable . What block are you in - I'm in R12 . Getting down to the loo or at full time is horrendous and incredibly slow ( unless you leave early - which I don't) it will be even worse as you are further back . If you are at the Putney end at least the queue for the loo is obvious   Organised and with plenty of loos. If towards the Hammy End - chaotic , disorganised fewer loos . You have no chance of getting a drink unless you come down 5 mins before the whistle blows.
Great view from the seats - pleasant vibe on the concourse

We're in R12 row 33 and endorse everything said
How they can design a new stand with such awful egress defies belief

Thanks but how do you get to R35 is it all stairs or are there lifts available?

All stairs. It's steep but even old codgers like me can make it easily

But it's not 35 rows because the upper tier starts at something like row 18. To get to the upper tier the steps are inside and not at all steep

I'm in R13 row 33 which is in hospitality. Great as lifts up to lounge and toilets in the lounge so not far to go at half time.

The less said about the bogs in the Hammy End the better. They urgently need replacing!!

Best advice, go to the loo as soon as you get there (if early)

Sometimes they dish out free muffins or cookies in the riverside concourse as well.

Having sat in block R12, row 23 (the upper section of the Riverside) a couple of times I am surprised that Safety Certificates have (presumably) been issued.  Were there to be any kind of emergency evacuation I'd fear for the consequences.  The combination of steep rake, limited access/egress points, especially bearing in mind the age and mobility of many attendees, seems to me to be inherently dangerous.

Never considered buying tickets there and these comments have confirmed the wisdom of my ways.

I'm with you. To pay that much only to suffer problems buying a drink or nipping for a pee, whilst all the time worrying what would happen in the event of an emergency? Not for me thanks.
