Is Bobb a crazy transfer?

Reading Oscar's injury record the last couple of years I'm finding it hard to comprehend this transfer. We are also linked with a centre forward with a broken arm at present which if he signs means we have two new players who cannot at present play.

Are these being signed with next season in mind in an attempt to satisfy Silva and get him to sign a new contract.

Well being that Silva's has the final say on transfers, I would imagine that he is fully aware of everything.

Sadly she wasn't

People said the same about ESR, but his fitness record has been great for us so far.

Milan turned down Robinson due to heart concerns, and he's been an absolute gem for £1.5m.

I trust the medical team here to make the right choice.

Moreover, Pep's comments the other day about Bobb suggested that he's not really injured ("if he says he's injured, then he is..." suggests the player may have just decided to protect himself for a move).

Our fitness coach is one of the best in the business, he helped set up Benfica LAB and they use some pretty cutting edge technology to keep players fit whilst minimising injury risk. Look at Sess, in his time at Spurs he was plagued by injuries but has been mostly fit whilst being here

Colton F.C.

Tom manages to play with one leg.

Perhaps when he scores we can all go Wooof
Remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
I will be as good as I can be and when I cross the finishing line I will see what it got me

Sess had bad injuries too.

The impression seems to be if he hadn't had injuries he wouldn't be in our reach. So there is a gamble there. It's a high upside if he stays fit. Big if though.

I'd better get warmed up

F(f)CUK

If he had already fulfilled his potential then I doubt that he would sign for us. We have to unearth gems and hopefully in a year or so this conversation will be long forgotten.

Probably a better comparison in that case is ESR - which has worked out well IMO.

A player of this age coming in for this fee is definitely one for the long-term.

Jimmy Hill

It does seem to be our USP. GO Team Rehab.

There is definitely a lot of risk but if there wasn't he would cost 50+ million

Not really sure what the issue is? He had a huge amount of time out with a broken leg. Broken legs are usually freak events that happen as complete one offs and tend to fully heal without future problems.

Aside from that he has had the recent hammy issue. More concerning but looks to have been pretty short/term minor. Sounds like he could have been back already but didn't want to play knowing he wanted out.

Really then nothing so far major to worry about with just these two injuries. Nothing has been recurring thus far from what I can see. Anything can happen of course but the huge absence for a broken leg shouldn't in theory be something to worry about moving forward.

Going way back, Simon Morgan had an injury record up with the best and look how he turned out. Very close to a Fulham great.

Agree with this, but forgive me if my memory serves me poorly, didn't we previously invest in sick-notes.... with mixed results?

Those that spring to mind are Alfie Mawson, Terence Kongolo, Ryan Fredericks and  Mitroglou. Only Ryan worked out.

You may have a point with Kongolo but Mitroglou always gets bad press. Yes it was a bit of a gamble when he signed & ultimately didn't work out for us but that was not his fault. The 2 seasons we couldn't be bothered to play him & sent him on loan, he scored 16 in 24 for Olympiacos & 20 in 32 for Benfica. Don't think Mawson was a sick note before we signed him either.

Somerset Fulham

It's called ambition. This is it folks, right here.

This is Fulham attempting to step up a level.
