I do think we need to go to a back 5 though. I think both Iwobi and TC are much better suited for the 8 role if we play in a back 5, especially against strong opponents.

I'd probably go with:

                Leno
  Diop Andersen Bassey
Tete Berge Iwobi Robinson
   Wilson Chukwueze
               Raul

ESR unlucky to miss out, but one of him, Wilson and Chukwueze need to ne sacrificed when we move to a back 5.

Big fan of this line up

Same, this is exactly what i would like to see

I think if Cuenca is dropped, it'd send out a really bad message to the whole squad. Bassey has an error in him every game, Cuenca has been more than solid and deserves to keep his place.

I feel that if anything that message has already been announced many times over whenever Diop steps in and gets dropped the next match after a solid performance but in principle i agree with you.
That said I think all four of our CBs are excellent. Cuenca has a tiny bit of "I will show them"-energy to him though that i am afraid might get him closer to an unfortunate mistake or card against an in form Man utd, hence Bassey just a fraction ahead for me for this one, for his physicality and intuition with Robinson alone.

I thought the same with Sess, didnt really have a bad game and gets dropped for AR on return from injury, now AR has had three poor performances yet Sess struggles to get back in. On form, AR should be dropped this weekend as he has looked average at best

Didn't Sess get injured, meaning that AR had to step in? Then it was kind of ARs place to lose again?

I'm not sure it has really. Cuenca has been in the team for 9 games straight(5 wins 2 draws 2 defeats) whereas Diop tends to come in every now and then, or when we change our shape usually. Our defence has looked solid, i'd say there's no need to change it (perhaps drop AR as he's been terrible the last few games).

Agree, we've looked pretty solid defensively, Cuenca has done well, and deserves to keep his place, though Marco might bring  in Bassey.

Robinson hasn't been quite on his game since returning, especially  defending, and  we looked more solid when Sess was introduced and who also poses a threat going forward, and can score, although lacking Robinson's amazing pace, which is always an asset - defending and attacking, but think  Marco go with Sess.

I'm afraid that Chukwueze's mother has passed away so I doubt that he will be playing.

Can't speak for others, but I've made this before those news came up. If he can't play, I'll put ESR instead of him.

Tete.  Anderson. Cuenca. Robinson

       Iwobi.  Berge

Wilson.     SR.       Kevin

          Jiminez

I think Marco will go with this one

Quote from: Thailand Mick on January 29, 2026, 08:48:18 AMWould love to see Marco throw them a curve ball, we haven't played well the last two games so would like to see this team line up with Raul and Robinson used in the second half if things aren't working.

                     Leno
  Anderson Cuenca Bassey
Tete             Berge            Sess
                Iwobi   ESR
              Wilson  Chuk

If we play Tete we won't play a back 5 and also can't see Chuck playing if his mum just died, also Robinson will start

St Eve

What an unbelievably great problem to have. We still have Muniz and Lukic injured and Bobb has just signed. I don't ever recall having such a strong squad.

We played Tete in a back 5 at the end of the Forest match.

As for Chukwueze, Marco said at his press conference that it's up to him whether he'll be involved. People process grief in different ways. If it's too hard for him to play, then he won't, but maybe he wants to play.
