I am sure I saw Garcia coming out of the Premier Inn on Putney Bridge this mornong and going for a run through Bishops Park
Remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
I will be as good as I can be and when I cross the finishing line I will see what it got me

At the moment Pitarch is injured, due back in September.

Pitarch could be the third Madrid player to join 👀

Had said I'd be surprised if Garcia and Pitarch would be available so would be incredibly pleased with that business if we pull it off...

Surely wouldnt buy Jordan James AND pitarch though, unless we plan to deploy Jordan as a DM. Feel like surely Shea Charles the better suited there. Intriguing to see where it all ends up

I love silly season. Completely addictive.

Would be chuffed with Pitarch. Proper baller.

It is far too encompassing 😅
All the hokey cokey in out in out madness of it

Nwaiwu saga liking a million posts...who now if I'm not mistaken seems to have removed those likes since news of his club pulling shenanigans with shady agents 🤣

On to cresswell, then oh wait he's off to Rennes ...but Pitarch is super keen on joining Arbeloa to make it three real Madrid players moving to Fulham in one window having never signed one before  . It's all completely mental :slap:

Super Mick

We'd better hope this all works out, or we might end up with some young lads that really don't want to be here!

Pitarch is the long term TC replacement & he looked really good for RM when Arbeloa gave him the chance

Bloody shame, used to stay there overnight before strolling through Bishops Park to games. Have to find different hotel for this season but unfortunately most mean a longer walk to the ground.

The Cravenette

I imagine AA is beginning to realise we have a lack of goals in us. Both our goals in today's friendly were pens.

Hopefully Garcia will help but we really need to make sure we get some decent crosses in to him and don't isolate him like Muniz and Raul last season. Wingers/full backs that can do that are needed.

Stay at FFC Hotel - cut out the long walk!
Looks really plush, but pricey!

He's also operating minus Bobb at the moment who will create more, plus we're likely to get another senior winger in as well so the chance creation will improve. The fact that we even won 2 penalties is in itself a huge plus given we never really put ourselves in positions to win them under Silva, so that alone implies people are running into the box and drawing fouls

The Cravenette

For sure, totally agree. ESR won the first one and Josh the 2nd. I also remember we had a free kick just outside the box inthe previous match when JKA made an impressive run and was fouled.

was thinking the same - Flyover FC down the bus stop got shed loads last year because they attacked the box rather than pass across like we did - those extra 10 pens were reason they over achieved

We aren't kidnapping them!

As has been said Pitarch is currently injured. If fit, he is exactly the kind of player I'd like to see in a Fulham shirt.

@jolslover

Pitarch is quality. Was player of tournament at recent u19 Euros and is one of the hottest talents in Europe in that age group.

From Sky (seems pretty bang on) -

Fulham are starting to do some business now that Alvaro Arbeloa's feet are under the table as new head coach.

They have agreed a combined £42.3m deal for a pair of Real Madrid youth graduates that played under Arbeloa there last season; striker Gonzalo Garcia and midfielder Cesar Palacios.

Arbeloa was the driving force behind these moves, and Garcia certainly answers the issue of who their new centre-forward would be, following the departure of Raul Jimenez. Garcia and Rodrigo Muniz are two good options.

Fulham still need a number of other positions strengthening, however, including wingers following the departure of Harry Wilson on a free transfer to Leeds United and Samuel Chukwueze returning to AC Milan following a loan spell.

There also appears to be more work to do in midfield, especially amid uncertainty around the future of Sander Berge, who has interest from Manchester United and several other clubs. Another battling midfielder may come into the club.

Fulham are also interested in signing a central defender to replace Issa Diop after his move to Ipswich. Trabzonspor's Chibuike Nwaiwu is one of the defenders on the club's list of options.

We probably won't sign him till the last day of the window. He'll be hours away from full fitness by then.

C Block

I think football is moving quicker than some of us realise, there was a sharp intake of breath yesterday when it was announced how much we were spending on both Garcia AND Palacios, and yet meanwhile on the same day, just down the road, little Brentford were spending the same money on one player,
Won't be long before a team like Fulham spends £100 million on a player.

The Lukic to Ipswich rumours aren't going away, which is extremely worrying to me as there is no-one in the current squad who matches his energy and ball-winning ability...maybe Reed up to the season before last was at that level, but not really now...even if Lukic doesn't leave, we urgently need another no 8...but if he does, we surely will need two to come in....and if the sums being quoted are true, then Ipswich will once again have done excellent business at our expense.

He turns 30 this month and has one year left on his contract, albeit the club have a one year option. I don't think there are many who would want us to carry on the Lukic/Berge partnership. I am concerned that we are losing some experience this window but the squad has to evolve. Hopefully this will allow us to recruit an a younger, more dynamic player who scores and assists.
