"Villa first pushed for Catamo last summer, while Marco Silva has him targeted for a long time at Fulham."

OK , name 3
Look in France there are decent strikers young 18-19 year old players that could do really well just like
Eli Junior Kroupi . If we don't sign
Jonah Kusi-Asare after having him for a year training him up and him getting used to the the environment different country premier league I would be serious annoyed he definitely has something about him 10 million would be a steal in my opinion .

Thats not 3, in fact its only one as yyou are saying sign kroupi if we dont sign JKA
I sould sign
JKA
Openda I like has been poor at Juventus but his game is suited to the premier league he is lightning fast and has good movement
Endrick another player that is suited to the premier league in my opinion he won't get a look in at Madrid and has done well at Lyon.
Matias Fernandez-Pardo quick feet can play LW, RW, CF going to be some player

I can't resist pointing out the irony of your claiming our scouting system isn't good enough to unearth a talented forward and then picking out a player for whom '10 million would be a steal' who has been identified by our scouting system.

Our scouting system is terrible JKA looked like a  novice when he came in but after a year working with him if we send him back to Bayern it would be a complete waste of time the last two times I have seen him live he looks so much better stronger understands that he has to track back I hope we sign him we will see .

1 goal/assist in every 2.5 games for leverkusen. Had a couple of injury stints and time playing little game time (played in 27 games total, but game time equalled 17.5 games total)..

Leverkusen are currently 4th in the Bundesliga and he's only 23. A dual German and US national.

Fits the profile we're looking for. Him, Arthur atta, pepi, as well as keeping the players we have would make for a potentially very tidy window

From all accounts, it sounds like JKA is enjoying his Fulham time too and started to get settled. Back in the main squad too vs Arsenal.

Talented lad, that seems to have fitted in with the senior camp and good relationships forming if you see the socials etc.

Sorry but I don't understand what you are saying. You list as a "steal" a player have already taken on loan then criticise our scouting network because we might not sign him for the £10mil that would apparently be a steal? I am very confused.

However bad you claim our scouting system is, the fact is it saw something in Kusi-Asare such that, a year down the line, you're telling us what a bargain he will be if we take up the option to sign him. If so, he looks to be exactly the sort of young striker you claimed our scouting system couldn't find.

Had JKA looked as good at Bayern, a year ago, as you say he is now, they wouldn't have agreed an option for as little as £10M; they may well not have allowed us an option at all.

Our scouting network's job was done once it found us the player. If the Club doesn't sign him permanently, it will be the manager's decision to let the time the Club has spent working with him go to waste - not the scouting network's.

Quote from: demeant0r on May 07, 2026, 02:28:09 PMJesus Christ. I can't with you lot who are saying we should've sold Muniz with hindsight. Last season he was in the top 5 for most goals per 90, if he had been given more play time he'd probably have gotten close to 20 goals.

Plus selling Marco's pet project when his stocks were at his highest would've definitely resulted in Marco resigning.

I can only speak for myself but there's no hindsight about it. It has always been abundantly clear to me that Rodrigo Muniz will never be worth 40m and to have turned that offer down was a huge mistake

A striker  :slap:

He's actually a bright spark, freakishly tall at 2.03m. But scores all sorts of goals, still young and needs coaching, but a modern athlete in terms of physical and movement.

I watched a couple of clips of him, he isnt Ian Rush but he will cause mayhem in the penalty area

He looks like he would be the perfect target man in a 4-4-2 formation

Watched a fair bit of Udinese game last night against Cremonese in which Vardy scored winner. Wanted to see what Atta was like who we were strongly linked with earlier this season. Not to sure what to make of his performance as was not the greatest of games but he certainly has that feel of a player that glides across the pitch and seems very confident for a young player. Both teams set up 3-5-2 so cancelled one another out for majority of game. Atta though seemed to be playing either on the left then centrally and at times as just off the front. Not sure if he is that versatile and did not have any real influence on the game. I kind of sensed a tiny swagger to his game. Whether we are still interested?

I'm a bit skeptical of players who are described solely by their physicality. Generally speaking, that means that the rest isnt that great...

Zigic, Traore, Arokodare, Kalajdzic and so on, all freakishly tall.

What about Castellanos from West Ham if they perish into the EFL?

I think taking that Raul is gone, at this point you could list a donkey as a striker and I'd be interested, so yes, Castellanos also looks interesting. I do actually think for the right price in the right system he would do well.
