I'd say no to Chuck. His performances tally with my Italian FIL's assessment from when we signed him... flatters to deceive, goes missing too often. And he watches AC every week.

Agree, loved him at the start but, gradually his play deteriorated and with SCR at 125,000 a week it's a no as well.

That's 3 of us in agreement then with PSR more important and an incoming new manager.

Probably wiser not to sign him, in my opinion. He hasn't made an impact in most of his recent appearances. There may be mitigating circumstances, of course, but I don't think the Club can afford to take the risk, should his early form with us turn out to be nothing more than 'a flash in the pan'.

Would extending his loan with us be a halfway solution I wonder?

Love the idea. Under the right gaffer he's probably worth signing permanently.

It's interesting his drop in form coincided with Silva's drop in tactics.

"Think on".

Regarding Chuk re loan and play him in his natural right wing position. Another loan I would like to see is Douglas Luiz, Villa will not take up the option to buy at 25m euro.

Luiz he would struggle to get on the pitch for us.

Still got the problem of wages on a loan. Lui is probably on a fair Wack as well. Someone like Hackney would be ideal probably in the 40-50,000 a week range.

Agree, wages are now set to be the single biggest financial consideration when planning and negotiating transfers. I suspect, although obviously I have zero info, that Chuck's wages were a big barrier to us signing him.

Rumoured to be £67,000 a week plus £7000 bonuses.

Does the managers salary come into account for FinancialFair Play

If not what happens when someone is a player coach?

Do only a proportion of their wages get taken into account?

Perhaps we could have 25 player coaches lol
Remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
I will be as good as I can be and when I cross the finishing line I will see what it got me

If that was the case I'm sure Chelsea would have had a least 40 player coaches by now.

40-year-old midfield veteran Luka Modric has announced he's leaving Milan, and is now available.

Would fit our target demographic perfectly  :slap:

The guys underated by many of the fan base imo.
Will be painful if he has a killer world cup and we watch him go for big bucks to some other side.

He was key in the first goal as well. Pulisic got the assist but it was his 1-2 with Pulisic that opened up the play.
