However, there were always issues with Wilson on the wing as he can't dribble or beat many players for pace. He's more of an attacking mid. With Bobb, and hopefully re-signing Chuk, we'll have more natural wingers.

With the new financial requirements we're disincentivised from signing older players on the cheap and giving high wages on shorter contracts. No more Raul Jimenez type deals.

Where would you start in replacing the 35% of our goals we have lost?

I would start with acknowledging that 4 of Raul's goals were penalties, and we would very likely have scored at least 3 of those penalties anyway (unless we reacquired Mitro). So there is 5 non-penalty goals to replace from him. Lots of strikers starting most games would score that, it's really not a very impressive output for a starting striker. Muniz has shown before that he can score more than that.

Wilson's output might be slightly harder to replace, but a combination of acquiring a new winger and someone stepping up could do it. It is often forgotten in these kind of discussion that if a player (say Wilson) wouldn't have been here, the output of their replacement would likely not have been zero. We have quite decent players already, and I am sure that players like Bobb and Kevin are eager to step up.

Sign a striker. Also, change our tactics to allow for more fast breaks and allow players to take more shots.

This is not to devalue Wilson's contribution, he is an incredible finisher.

And this is all before we consider that in a different system, the existing players might score more goals purely down to attacking intent and tactics. KentFulham often likes to talk about a lack of goals from wingers and CM's, but it is quite clear that in Silva's system they were there to provide more than score, so perhaps AA will allow Berge to play like he did for Sheffield United and contribute more, likewise with new recruits plus getting wingers to take players on and shoot, rather than cross ad infinitum to Raul & Muniz

Absolutely!  One of my pet peeves.  FFC just doesn't shoot nearly as much as they should!  Should be taking more shots, even close in on tough angles, and especially from distance.  When you have a shot, take it.  Please!  Shoot more, take many more shots this new season.  You can't score unless you shoot!

An example:  England lucky not to lose that game yesterday when Ghana breakaway failed.  Player hung on to the ball too long, and should have known defenders are charging from behind.  Had chance just inside the box to take a quality shot.  We see this sort of thing time and time again, and not just in FFC games where a good opportunity is present.  Shoot the freaking football......!!!!

And shooting from distance draws defenders out which creates pockets of spece in the area

The players don't collectively decide not to shoot, they follow the instructions from the bench, hopefully now things will start to improve.

Ya know, that is something that I don't understand.  And I really can't believe that.  I don't see how a coach instructs players not to take a shot.  Doesn't make sense to me.  How does a player, in any position, a regular player, not even attempt a shot an entire season?  Ludicrous!  (See Berge two seasons ago)
Sorry, just can't buy it.......

A lot of people trying to justify why players dont score RE set up to cross and supply strikers, yet the strickers like Muniz are also not scoring, so are these non scoring goal set up crossing players just bad at crossing? or do we have a striker issue? I just don't buy the not shooting part, time for a clear out Fulham

Perhaps they have a cunning plan.
The clubs agenda maybe is to draw us into a false sense of Doom that it cannot get any worse.
Thereby anything slightly positive is met with gratitude, joy handstands and cartwheels.
That is the ploy with the Excrement end ablutions, to succeed in drawing our attention to the health hazards emerging from this black hole.
By creating this blob, it forces us all to ask ourselves what are we visiting the ground for  in the first place.
Yes a cunning plan.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Never forget your Roots.

Just reading that Arbeloa has said he would be happy to see ESR, Berge, Anderson, Castagne and Reed to leave this summer.

I think letting ESR go would a mistake, but that is just my opinion.

😂😂 has ESR even arrived at Fulham yet he is pound for pound Fulham's worst ever signing.

"Away in a manger, no Wilson or Raul".

Oh ye of little faith! Relax - it'll be fine.

Silva was holding us back in the end
Raul is reaching the end of his career and became pretty ineffective apart from penalty taking
Wison had an contract offer on the table but id not worth a 4 year commitment that Leeds have given him, to be honest had 1 great season in the Premier League
So although they all served FFC well they were no longer seen as a viable option to move us forward.
I will look yo yue future and not live in the past

Wow where does he say that?! Quite a way to introduce oneself to the squad.

First ive heard of that? Seems pretty unlikely a new manager would want to see nearly all of the first team leave
