Very unlucky yesterday

No, not unlucky at all.  Deserved the loss.  Totally outplayed in 2nd half.  I hope MS's HT message was not to lay back and sit on a one goal advantage and play for the one goal win, but it sure looked like that's how the team was playing.  Had chances in 1st half to put game to bed, but couldn't find that second or third tally.  Seen this FFC movie before, that's how games are lost in this league.

We were outplayed in the second half but the game was played over 90 minutes and in the first 45 minutes we were dominant and on another day could have gone in at half time two or three goals to the good. Overall a draw would have been a fair result but football doesn't work like that. I don't believe we were unlucky. That result was on the players.

We all have our own opinions.  You play 45 mins in a 90 min game you get punished.  A draw would have flattered, in my view.  This is a tough league and you can't sit on one goal leads.

Yesterday was not unlucky

Spot on, we threw that game away and played like a team looking over Their shoulders rather than hunting the guys ahead of us.

We lack that winning mentality and that comes from the the manager and the players, not enough leaders in the group.
The team cohesion is great and the samba dancing and videos are all well and good but we lack the grit to get many games over the line.

I'm not sure why people are saying we weren't unlucky.....even Mr Moyes said in his interview that Everton were fortunate.... I'll send him an email & tell him he's wrong

I don't really see how he f*cked up personally. Maybe he could have brought Tete on earlier? I'd give you that. Unfortunately Leno let us down on both goals and you can't legislate for your keeper punching one in the net as manager

Yeah, Everton were fortunate that we couldn't finish our dinner or defend set pieces. if we'd had played as well as we can do we'd have beaten them easily, they were poor.

One very mild positive is that the current England number 1 keeper kept them in the game when under the cosh in the first half.
Probably the major reason for the result in the end?
Bodes well for the World Cup.
