Played them off the park in the first half & should've been 3 nil up after 45 minutes....second half - looked disjointed and on balance we deserved a draw....nice to see a fit squad again, let's hope Cairney is well....one of them day's

Becoming too many of them days. Or to coin  another phrase - fine margins butter no parsnips.

O for an Ivor or a John Mitchell or an Alan Clarke or, dare I say it, a Mitro. Someone who could score off their backside or earhole.

Our stats say the opposite...we had more shots & the same amount of shots on target...

So, I'll settle for unlucky....

What's the point of blaming individuals unless you praise the same individuals when we win...think Mr Silva has already said we should've won it in the first half....but we all have different opinions

Unlucky is those stats for 90 mins, we switched off at 45 and allowed Everton to go and win the game

The stats were for 90 minutes, on another day their second goal could've been disallowed - on another day we could've been 3/4 nil up at half time...so...we were unlucky

In the first half yes, in the second half it was all our own doing. We capitulated and there seemed to be an acceptance from the team that we would concede.

I agree we played them off the park in the first half BUT we failed to put the ball in the net even once. For multiple reasons Everton were the better team in the second half and they netted twice. Until we find ways to be more ruthless I cannot see defeats like this as bad luck, just inability to capitalise on our opportunities.

We did exactly the same thing against Man City, but were unlucky in the second half

Those are very different circumstances. We've not beaten city in two decades, we were not expected to take anything from city. We were absolutely dominated in the first half and in the second half they ceded possession to us because there already 4-1 up and we nearly took a point from them in the final minute. That's unlucky. What happened yesterday was not.

Unfortunately we do not possess the killer instinct, hence the reason why this issue repeats itself time and time again.
That is why in sport when you do not possess a natural killer instinct you end up getting what you deserve.
Nothing, Nought, Nil, Zero.

Bad Luck is an excuse for someone else's success.
A team that feels sorry for themselves because a result doesn't go their way, will never win a Coconut let alone a Goldfish.
Unless Fulham learn to be ruthless in every match, and players learn to win their own battles and play within the framework of the team, there will be more days like yesterday.
Leaders, Winners, Warriors, Fighters and Characters, Players Players and lashings of quality make up the Cocktail for success.
Not forgetting decision making during a game, that is what Managers and Coaches get paid a fortune for.
You either Win or you Learn.
Otherwise you will always be in someone else's slip stream.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Never forget your Roots.

We're a moments team, we cannot sustain a full 90 performance. We win games by getting multiple goals when we are on top Spurs, Burnley, Brentford so the mountain to get back into the game is too big or we just win games late on so time is on our side.

I don't think we were unlucky yesterday because we come out 2nd half playing like we're too afraid to lose a 1-0 lead, then when it inevitably goes to 1-1 heads completely drop and we lose the game. Yesterday we have to go out and assert our dominance again 2nd half. Everton probably went in at HT with no confidence, but we do everything to show them that this lot aren't gonna do anything so the pressure just ramps up cos nothing was coming their way.

ffc73

Not unlucky.  Moyes half time talk goes something like this,

"we are lucky to still be in this but they think all they have to do is walk out on the pitch and swan around in the second half.  I know this because they have a history for doing it.  So, go out there, press them, get in their faces and don't give them a moment and when we do that those southern softies will crumble again and we will win this."

WindyCity

No, not unlucky at all.  Deserved the loss.  Totally outplayed in 2nd half.  I hope MS's HT message was not to lay back and sit on a one goal advantage and play for the one goal win, but it sure looked like that's how the team was playing.  Had chances in 1st half to put game to bed, but couldn't find that second or third tally.  Seen this FFC movie before, that's how games are lost in this league.

southwest6

Not killing games is a recurring theme. We looked like an elite team in the first half, Everton genuinely had no idea what to do once we got going.

A completely different team came out in the second half.

As is often the case with this team, I expect a strong response against city
