Was £1.55 for petrol yesterday in Norwich. Luckily my driving instructor hasn't upped the cost per lesson yet.

I had an email from Eastbourne licensing this week - saying a Taxi fare increase had been approved

Is this a permanent increase, even if the fuel costs go down? Looks like I need to avoid taxis for a little while.

It'll be a permanent price increase...it happens every year around this time (will be exactly the same throughout the country).... regrettably the price increase never covers the year on year increased running costs for a cab (I've been a cab driver in London, Devon & Sussex)

If the taxi fare increase happens at this time every year (the start of the financial year), it's not related to what's happening in Iran then surely?
