Thank Marco for his time in charge & for all that he has done & achieved for them, the Club & the fans.

For the Khan's to state as Marco refuses to commit himself & won't sign a new contract there isn't any other option than to announce that he will be leaving either when his contract expires or earlier by mutual agreement.

I can't believe that the Khans don't have a manager lined up as a replacement. Allow that person time to bed in, preparing the way forward for next season, trying to secure Wilson's contract (who we desperately miss) evaluating the current team, releasing those no longer required & re building where necessary.

It is difficult to see or understand what is going on, why Marco won't commit or sign a new contract & it is de stabilising the club, the players & the fans. Dragging us downwards especially @ a recent time that looked so positive. We cannot carry on in such a scenario.

Rather than delay any further, it's time to act - now!

If Marco is staying we find out by Wednesday. There is a chance they announce good news to bury recent poor form. If we hear nothing by Wednesday I think he is off.

Wilson isn't staying, we need to accept that now and move on.

Having just been knocked out of the FA cup after a sh!te performance like that do you really think that announcing Marco's new contract is good news?

From Marco, post match,

"Probably not the moment to be so emotional and, to be clear, very bad day for us, as a group, always myself in front of this group of players, and for the football club.

"It's probably a moment for us to look even deeper, because it cannot be just another defeat."

Good and look very , very hard Marco - I really am one of your biggest fans - but your team selection over the past two games defies logic and thought - especially in terms of where your priorities lie and satisfying the fan base. Losing is understandable ( especially to Fulham fans ) but it is about how you lose. We haven't looked like a team in the last two games and that is 100% down to you . Look hard and look inwards - lose at Forest and the season really is over -the fans don't deserve that

This is actually the perfect time, imo, to renew his contract. This is probably the weakest his position has been this season. I think that news of his renewal would give a huge boost to our squad. If you listen to any interview of players who we've just signed/renewed, they all single out Marco as one of the biggest/the biggest reasons they've signed. If players knew he was staying, they'll feel reassured and would perform better.

It just can't be just giving out a new contract,A he might not want one, might have an offer elsewhere and would like to finish early with wages have a early holiday and start early in new job and waste more money on more leaderless players and back room staff that haven't set the world alight. We got rid of our coach through retirement who could stand in if silva walks out does seem rather not strange more stupid.

Andrew

I think he hasn't  signed because he may not have been offered a proper contract with shared long term ambition of the owners.

I think the owners do not want to kick on, i think they are going to do some nonsense pr during the season ticket renewal period and only then let him go.

If the owners were really serious about improving the team beyond mid table mediocrity, a state i used to long for, they would show up occasionally, which they rarely do. If they are happy with the status quo, they should say so, rather than spout the pr rubbish they usually talk.

We cough up a ridiculous fortune for our tickets, and the least i expect is their honesty. I do feel for the first time in over sixty years of being a season ticket holder and among the most committed to our cause, the tickets are absolutely not falue gor money, and it is the ack of transparency from the owner AND the extortionate price, that is the issue.

Why Wednesday specifically?

Yes, I wondered why Wednesday?

I have always supported Marco but his body language on the bench really concerns me.

Think he is off myself and SK needs to make decisions about it unless he doesn't trust himself for a replacement.

There's no evidence to support your view

The frustrating thing with Marco is there is NEVER a Plan B.

We've seen it all before. We dominate on the ball, but we over-play. A pass too many, too slow a build-up, nobody taking the responsibility to have a shot. What's the saying, if you don't buy a ticket, you can't win the raffle ?

Should have brought on Raul (NOT for Muniz) with half an hour to go. Gamble, do something different. Southampton always looked quite sharp on their rare breaks. Silly penalty given away at a time in the game when there is no time whatsoever to recover, and bang, the season is over.

If the manager is too inflexible to change things when he has to, then MAYBE it's time to consider changing the manager.  Five years IS an awfully long time in football these days.  The Championship-winning season was truly magical, there's been a League Cup semi-final, other half decent Cup runs, but does Marco have the extra nous to nudge us onto the next stage ?  Don't think the drive or hunger is there any more.

But it's very much a case of "Be careful what you wish for."  For clubs of our size, it's the same old hazard, all it takes is one iffy season, the wrong appointment, and the good work over the last five years vanishes in an instant.

So what are you saying? Marco in or out?

Four paragraphs of criticism that point towards you wanting Marco out and then a final paragraph that stands everything you've said on its head.

Four paragraphs of straight forward observation rather than full-on criticism, there have been some fantastic moments over the last five years. But on the whole I think the relationship between club & manager has run to the end of its natural course.

Fnding the RIGHT replacement,  that's the very difficult bit.

Wednesday's child is full of Woe!

Despite Marco being at fault for last two results, I'd still be most keen for a new contract signing. Not heard any realistic replacements, and I think with some better windows of additional support, there's more progress to be made to this squad.
