The Lurkers were, I think, later joined by Arthur of the Lucky Saddles - a really great local band.

We'd often see them at a number of local venues, often The Greyhound supported by their mates: Aunty Puss and the Men from Uncle. They had Dick Taylor playing with them - an early member of the Rolling Stones and then with the Pretty Things. He oozed class and would just sit there (refused to stand apparently and being so much older and with suck a high-pedigree background, nobody dared say a word) and play these amazing licks looking bored out of his mind.

There was also The Legendary Luton Kippers who later had a hit renamed as the Faith Brothers. The Kippers had an EP called Fulham Court.

It was a vibrant local scene in those days, very early 80s

Good stuff

Topper from the Clash was always around and about Fulham area, Greyhound was a great venue I remember CRASS playing there but was too young to go in,

Such a shame that all the small venues have all now withered away

As regards yesterday they can pick up a head of steam Forest fans but Mull of Kintyre won't be going on my playlist any time soon...good day out yesterday aside from the train carnage..

Yeah that was a good one, was just looking over that record, produced by Steve Lillywhite "prob no coincidence'
