Doesn't make financial sense

I would argue that it isnt the European football that is bad for our finances, historic transfer policies and the squad age is more damaging. It has given us stability by putting more trust in what we know or previously proven players, but has left us with minimal transfer resale values. If we can fix that, we would be better off

There's a scenario in which 7th place gets Champions League. It's not very realistic though, as I can't see Liverpool winning CL.

A euro run would be nice ,also think we could go to final, keep Silva, but league placing would be bottom 5 as was west spams under Moyes and can only see posters on this board moaning about that as a older fan would not bother me but you fans and member want everything don't you!

When i think of the Conference League i immediately think of Chelsea v FC Noah,
Chelsea rested all eleven players and still won 8-0 !!!
They had 27 shots, 16 of them on target.
There's a reason why all the clubs above us are trying their hardest to avoid going into such a two bob competition.

Oh my sweet baby jesus, "two bob competition". Are you seriously telling me that you would not be jumping for joy if we won the Europa Conference League? We are yet to win anything of note.

Thats right, couldn't give a flying fcuk about the conference league,
How many do you think we would have at home to a team like FC Noah on a Thursday night ? 9 thousand? 10 maybe to watch a reserve match.

Will take issue with post #1.  In my view, mid table is NOT mediocre.  Not in this league, this is a tough frickin league.  Small/mid size club like FFC finishing mid table is a solid accomplishment.  Very happy with that, get some good results v a couple of 'top' clubs in a given season, ok by me.  As fans we want to see FFC kick on and move up table, maybe engage Euro play.  I do feel MS and players are trying their best, and it can be frustrating witnessing poor results in games where there are much higher expectations.  But, that's FFC football.  Mid table is great, not mediocre or anything to be frowned upon.

We need to ask if FFC is really ready for Euro play, the more rigorous schedule and added games.  Biggest thing in my FFC world is staying in PL.  It's now been a couple seasons in a row where FFC has had good chances to move up the table and get into Euro positions, oft times v (so-called) weaker opponents, and have fluffed.  These two recent losses v Everton and WHU and the Forest draw are just inexcusable for a club looking for top half table positions.  I have no problem with FFC making it into Euro play, but ONLY if the team can remain competitive in the PL, and necessary additional investments/players are obtained to ensure our PL status.

Additionally, last two games at home, clean sheeted, v a drop zone PL team and a Champ club, and the Forest away draw, should tell you something too, about the readiness of this squad to participate at much higher levels.  Now three games in a row without a goal scored against 'weak' opponents.  Over past several seasons we have seen that FFC just doesn't score a lot of goals, and hopefully any new acquisitions will show a nose for goal.  I realize we are just going through a run of poor form, but we have seen this picture before, when having chances to move up the table.

There are two domestic cups we could
/should focus on winning. We play in those every season. So it's part of the plan. This season and last we turned in indifferent performances.
Reaching the semi's in the FA Cup would feel like more of an achievement than a decent but arduous run in Europe.
