Everton transfer news: Toffees 'well placed' to win battle for in-demand Fulham star
Everton are reportedly in a strong position to win the race for Fulham attacker Harry Wilson.

Wilson has stood out with his performances for the Cottagers this season, having scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 29 Premier League appearances this season.

The Welshman is playing a key role in Fulham's quest for European qualification, but it is unclear whether he will still be at the club beyond the end of the season.

That is because his contract expires at the end of June and he is yet to pen fresh terms with his current employers.

Fulham boss Marco Silva revealed before the international break that there is "no news" in regard to Wilson's contract negotiations.

Everton leading race for Fulham's Wilson
While he could still extend his stay with the Cottagers, Wilson's uncertain situation, combined with his impressive performances, has led to transfer interest from other Premier League clubs.

The Toffees remain interested after they failed with an approach for the 28-year-old in the closing stages of the winter transfer window.

According to Football Insider, Everton are currently 'well placed' to bring Wilson to the Hill Dickinson Stadium this summer.

The report claims that the Toffees are ahead of Wilson's other suitors, which include fellow Premier League side Leeds United.

Everton boss David Moyes has identified the wide areas as one of his 'top priorities' for the club's summer transfer business.

Leeds face 'difficulty' in Wilson pursuit
The same report states that Leeds will find it 'difficult' to pip the likes of Everton to Wilson's signature.

Any slim hopes of stealing a march on their rivals will depend on whether they can avoid an immediate return to the Championship.

Daniel Farke's side are sitting in 15th place and four points above the drop zone with seven games left to play.

Even if Leeds stay up, Everton may be able to offer Wilson European football, with all three UEFA competitions a possibility at this stage.

When is it time for more protest action?
With away fans in home ends given the all clear and Brentford tickets given away, what can we do as fans?

In the space of a week Fulham Football Club have managed to find two more ways to alienate their hardcore support.

First it was giving away tickets to what could be the biggest game of the season to fun-runners, then it was openly admitting ambivalence to away fans sitting in the home ends.

While the fury from the Brentford ticket scandal comes from a failure to communicate to supporters that the tickets given to runners were sourced from an allocation separate to that on sale to fans — likely reserved for the players' families and friends — the club's comments on their position on away fans in home areas should have any self-respecting Fulham foaming at the mouth.

When questioned about the club's stance on away supporters wearing full colours in home areas, during the club's monthly meeting with the Fulham Supporters' Trust (FST), Fulham's head of safety said: ''If an away supporter's presence has a negative effect, then we will intervene. If there is not a negative effect then we will not.''

To put it simply, that is Fulham's head of safety admitting they do not mind other supporters being in the home end unless they overtly show signs of being the other teams supporters before entering Craven Cottage.

If you wanted any further proof that the club is completely out of touch with its supporters, this is it.

The people in charge at Fulham, and the people in charge of safety I may add, do not understand that the tribalistic nature of football fans, that even Fulham fans will cause people to get hurt if the club's stance on away fans in home areas is do nothing until they make themselves known.

Not only is the club's stance a mockery of Fulham fans, it's dangerous.

To get some clarification on if Fulham stood behind their comments to the FST, I asked the club two questions: ''Does the club echo this statement and could it re-iterate what its stance on away fans in home areas is?'' And ''What does the club expect supporters to do when faced with away fans in home areas?''

Fulham responded with: ''Regarding the notes from the recent meeting of the FST – details of the minutes were published by the Fulham Supporters Trust at a recent meeting with the club.''

It's hardly much of a response is it? Once again, a failure from FFC to communicate with their supporters. No surprises there.

There is no other club in the Premier League that treats their fans like Fulham does.

Whether it be calling us "the local football team", rising matchday ticket prices to extortionate levels, or not caring who is in the seat next to you as long as somebody is sat in it, what does it take for Fulham fans to make a real stand against being treated as second-class citizens in our own home?

I asked the FST if they would back protest action in response to the club's actions.

A FST spokesperson said: ''We are consistently taking member issues to the club, and we believe we have made some progress over the last couple of years but there is still work to be done.

The club have indicated that season ticket prices for next season will be announced in late April, early May in line with previous years. That will be the time to consider if further action is required.''

Perhaps the FST is right, maybe waiting for the club to announce season ticket prices is the right time to take action. But forgetting the increases in prices, it is the failure to even try to understand the hardcore Hammersmith-Ender and instead catering to the family of Riverside tourists that infuriates me, and these comments exemplify that, and unfortunately even freezing season ticket prices won't shake that feeling.

At the very least Fulham fans, it's time to lay the groundwork for some proper protest action. Otherwise more and more of this nonsense will go unchecked.

How Everton feel about signing Fulham star Harry Wilson - Wrexham AFC will be on red alert
Wrexham already have one eye on the summer transfer window in case they manage to earn promotion to the Premier League this season.

The Red Dragons are seeking an incredible fourth promotion in a row after going straight from the National League to the Championship under Phil Parkinson.

The Welsh outfit are in the mix for a play-off place with just seven games to go, with the team level on points with Southampton in sixth.

Parkinson's side have impressed many in the second division, but will need to continue their good run of form once the league resumes after the March international break.

The club have already been linked with a number of names in the event that they earn a place in the top flight.

It has previously been reported that both Andy Robertson and Harry Wilson are among the names on their shortlist, should they gain promotion.

Everton emerge as Harry Wilson front-runners
According to Football Insider, Everton have emerged as the favourites to sign Wilson at the end of the season.

The Fulham winger has interest from a number of sides, including Leeds United, with his contract set to expire in the summer.

However, it's believed that David Moyes' side are now best placed to secure his signing, with their push for European football this campaign seen as a driving force behind their offer.

Meanwhile, the Whites are embroiled in a relegation battle, although they now are in a position where they could survive in the top flight.

This could also come as a blow to Wrexham, who have not yet even secured their place in the Premier League for next season.

Internationals: Morocco debut for Diop
Eight Fulham players got international minutes under their belt on Friday, including Issa Diop who made his Morocco debut.

The defender had played for France up to Under-21 level, but has always been eligible to represent Morocco through his mother. He recently changed his allegiances, and played the duration of their 1-1 draw with Ecuador on his international bow.

Sander Berge also got 90 minutes in Norway's 2-1 defeat by the Netherlands, a match that Oscar Bobb featured in for just over an hour.

Samuel Chukwueze set up the opening goal in Nigeria's 2-1 win over Iran before being substituted midway through the second half, while Alex Iwobi was involved for the entirety.

Saša Lukić came on for the final half hour of Serbia's 3-0 loss to Spain, while Josh King and Jonah Kusi-Asare were the only players to feature in competitive action on Friday. Josh won Man of the Match as England Under-21s snatched a stoppage time 1-1 in Andorra to maintain their unbeaten record in Euros qualifying, while Sweden U21s also needed a late goal to draw 2-2 with Montenegro.

On Saturday, Antonee Robinson marked his first United States appearance in 16 months with an assist in their 5-2 defeat by Belgium, who brought on Timothy Castagne in the 70th minute.

Finally, Raúl Jiménez was on field for the first hour of Mexico's goalless draw with Portugal on Sunday.

Fulham win Division One South East title
The Lilywhites triumphed after a win over MK Dons, as Norwich City lost

Fulham claimed the Division One South East title with a 3-0 win over MK Dons, as rivals Norwich City lost 2-1 to Chatham Town.
The Lilywhites are the first division winners of the FA Women's National League season, while Swindon Town's hopes of claiming the Division One South West were dealt a blow by Bridgwater United.

The top teams in the other four divisions all won, while there were important results at the bottom of the tables too.

Fulham go back-to-back
In their first season in Tier 4, Fulham have won the Division One South East title and are yet to lose a game after a 3-0 victory over MK Dons.

All three goals came in the first half at Craven Cottage as Becky Stormer opened the scoring, heading home, before Ellie Olds got the second.

Olds then set up Stella Gandee Morgan in the box to complete the win, with Norwich's 2-1 loss to Chatham confirming Fulham's second title in as many seasons.

Also in Division One South East, AFC Sudbury's relegation was confirmed with a 1-0 loss to Dulwich Hamlet, they join Chesham United in going down, with the already-relegated Stags Chesham losing by the same scoreline to Actonians.

London Bees responded to their mid-week loss to triumph 3-1 away at Cambridge United while Luton Town and Queens Park Rangers played out a 0-0 draw.

Everton better-placed than Leeds United in Harry Wilson race
Everton are in a good position in the Harry Wilson chase, with the winger's future at Fulham still under considerable doubt.

According to Football Insider, Everton are now one of the better-placed sides in the Harry Wilson chase, with the winger steadily heading towards free agency. Leeds United are also interested in the Welsh internatioanl, but the Toffees could take the lead in the coming period, as they could prepare an important offer for the attacker.

Fulham are still sweating over the future of Harry Wilson, with the winger yet to commit his future to the club. Talks around January showcased that the Welshman might want the future of manager Marco Silva sorted before committing his own to the club, something the Londoners are yet to finalise, as they could potentially lose the attacker, who has 16 goal contributions, in what has been his best season since his £12 million arrival from Liverpool in 2021.

Fulham had reportedly offered him an improved contract recently, but there is no news on whether Wilson is eager to sign on those terms. As the weeks go by, the Welshman is closing in on becoming a free agent, with his current deal expiring in the summer; and he will have several clubs to pick from.

Daniel Farke wanted to add Wilson to his side, which also boasts a tremendous Welsh contingent at the moment. While Leeds United admire the attacker, the Elland Road outfit face an uphill battle for his signature, given that some of their rivals are also interested, namely Everton.

Everton failed with an enquiry back in January, as Fulham had no interest in selling their main attacker midway through the season. Both those teams have European ambitions, although it is the Toffees who look likelier to secure continental football next season following recent results.

Are Everton leading the Harry Wilson chase?
Everton were expected to make a fresh move for Wilson in the summer, and it appears they are well on track for that. The Toffees are eager to add flair and creativity to their frontline while keeping hold of their existing stars like Jack Grealish, Iliman Ndiaye, and Dwight McNeil, as adding the Fulham talisman could add another layer to their team.

Everton could offer European football as a prospect for Wilson, making them strong contenders in the race. There is still a possibility he commits his future at Craven Cottage, but for now, he seems destined to leave the club on a free transfer, with the Toffees in the lead ahead of rivals Leeds United.

Everton 'leading' chase for Fulham ace amid Leeds United interest
Fulham face a serious battle to keep hold of the attacker this summer amid attention from elsewhere

Everton are one of the clubs 'leading' the race for Fulham winger Harry Wilson, according to Football Insider. His contract at Craven Cottage at the end of the season and he is due to become a free agent in late June as things stand. Leeds United have also been mentioned as a potential suitor.

Marco Silva's side are sat in 9th in the Premier League after 31 fixtures. They have seven more games to play before the end of the season. The Whites are back in action this weekend with an away trip to Anfield to face Liverpool.

Fulham transfer update regarding Everton and Leeds United target Harry Wilson ahead this summer
Journalist Pete O'Rourke has shared this update regarding Wilson's future at Fulham amid Everton and Leeds' interest: "Harry Wilson looks like he will be leaving Fulham on a free transfer this summer. He's weighing up his options ahead of the summer as a free agent, and he'll have the pick of a number of clubs because he's had such an outstanding season.

"He's in the best form of his career right now which has come at a good time for him. We know Leeds are long-term admirers of the Welshman and came close to signing him in previous transfer windows. It will be difficult for them to try and win the race for his signature in the summer because you've got a lot of interest from other Premier League clubs as well."

He added: "Everton are one of the clubs leading the hunt right now, it's a real hard one to do for Leeds. If Leeds do not secure Premier League survival they would have no chance of signing someone like Harry Wilson because he'll want to continue playing at the highest level possible."

Wilson, 29, has a big decision to make on what to do next ahead of the next campaign. He has been in fine form for Fulham this term and may fancy his chances of a big move. The winger has made 29 league appearances and has chipped in with 10 goals and six assists.

The Wales international, who has 68 caps to his name, joined the Whites in 2021 on an initial loan deal before his switch was later made permanent. He rose up through Liverpool's academy and was loaned out to Crewe Alexandra, Hull City, Derby County, AFC Bournemouth and Cardiff City to get some experience under his belt. The Wrexham-born man then moved down to London and hasn't looked back since.
