Legend of the Match Result: Brentford
Bernd Leno was voted as the Royal Caribbean Legend of the Match from Saturday's draw at Brentford.

The German goalkeeper ensured Fulham came away with a point, denying Dango Ouattara from close range in the 90th minute.

"In the first moment, I was not even sure if the ball was in," said the 'keeper when asked about that tremendous late stop.

"When I saw my teammates come over to me and celebrate, I was happy the ball didn't go in!

"Luckily it was decisive and it was a good moment for me as a 'keeper."

Bernd won the Royal Caribbean Legend of the Match vote with 72%. Saša Lukić and Calvin Bassey came joint-second with 8% each.

How to watch Fulham v Aston Villa in the Premier League on TNT Sports and HBO Max - date, kick-off time
Fulham will be looking to reignite their European hopes when they host high-flying Aston Villa at Craven Cottage in the Premier League on Saturday, live on TNT Sports and HBO Max.

The Cottagers shared the spoils in a goalless draw with west London rivals Brentford last Saturday, leaving them 12th in the Premier League heading into the weekend.

But they are just three points adrift of eighth, and finishing there could be enough to secure a UEFA Conference League spot.

An inconsistent run of form which has seen them win just one of their last seven games across all competitions could be detrimental to their hopes, highlighting the importance of a victory here.

Villa's ambitions are loftier, with UEFA Champions League qualification looking very likely after a thrilling 4-3 win over Sunderland last Sunday.

Unai Emery's side are fourth in the table and 10 points clear ahead of sixth-place Chelsea, and still in the hunt for a European trophy.

The Villans now have an all-English UEFA Europa League semi-final to look forward to against Nottingham Forest, and are in ominous form having lost just one of their previous seven games across all competitions.

When is Fulham v Aston Villa?
Fulham v Aston Villa takes place on Saturday, April 25 at Craven Cottage in London.

Kick-off is at 12:30 UK time, with live coverage on TNT Sports 1, TNT Sports Ultimate and HBO Max starting from 11:00.

How to watch Fulham v Aston Villa
Fulham v Aston Villa will be live on TNT Sports 1, TNT Sports Ultimate and HBO Max.

TNT Sports is available across all major TV platforms, offering a line-up of up to four TV channels (TNT Sports 1, TNT Sports 2, TNT Sports 3, TNT Sports 4), and up to six digital or red-button channels (TNT Sports 5 to 10), and TNT Sports Ultimate plus TNT Sports Box Office HD.

Harry Wilson 'close to a red card' as Keith Hackett re-analyses Brentford vs Fulham incident
Harry Wilson could have been sent off for a "borderline" challenge during a goalless draw between Brentford and Fulham.

That is according to former PGMOL chief and ex-FIFA referee, Keith Hackett, who exclusively told Football Insider that another referee might have shown a red card to the Welshman on Saturday, 18 April.

In the 79th minute, the 29-year-old left Mikkel Damsgaard on the floor inside the Cottagers' half, and replays showed that the winger had caught his opponent quite heavily, but no free-kick was given.

It was a decision that could have made a huge difference as Brentford drew 0-0 with Fulham at the Gtech Community Stadium, with Marco Silva's side possibly fortunate not to go down to 10 men.

Harry Wilson gets away with big challenge on Mikkel Damsgaard
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former referee said: "At the minimum, it's a yellow, and it's close to a red card. I'll take the solid yellow, but I'd warn him against launching himself off the ground.

"He's off his feet, he's out of control, but the landing area is low on his opponent. He's close to committing serious foul play. Wilson needs to take stock, and so too does his manager.

"What we used to see as a sliding challenge is almost outlawed in the game. On another day, a different referee might have justified a red card for that challenge. It's borderline."

The Wrexham-born star has only been sent off once in his senior career, but had VAR intervened on this one, it could have been a second for the Fulham man this weekend.

How did football fans react to the footage?
The unanimous verdict is that Fulham's No.8 was extremely lucky not to be punished for this challenge, with fingers being pointed at Howard Webb for the country's state of officiating.

Of course, many others were happy not to see the 29-year-old go into the referee's notebook, with the player heavily selected in this season's Fantasy Premier League game.

By no means is he a violent player, and with 11 goals and seven assists this season, he has become vital to Silva and the Fulham team. Seeing him suspended would have been a huge miss.

Nonetheless, it raises questions over how Paul Tierney could miss something like this, with VAR likely to judge it not bad enough for a straight red, and therefore, unable to get involved.

'Scapegoat' Ex-Gunners reveals difference between playing for Arsenal and Fulham
Alex Iwobi was an Arsenal academy graduate, and he played 100 league games for the Gunners' first team between 2015 and 2019 before they sold him. During that period, he became a familiar figure in the squad and gained valuable experience at one of the biggest clubs in football.

He later went on to play many matches for Everton and continues to perform well at Fulham, with the Nigerian still regarded as one of the finest players in his role in England. His career has remained strong despite moving away from the intense attention that comes with playing for Arsenal.

Arsenal Brings Different Pressure
Iwobi has not been in the spotlight as much since leaving Arsenal, and some supporters may not realise how consistently he has continued to perform in the Premier League. However, the midfielder has now explained why life at Arsenal felt very different.

He said that as an Arsenal player, the spotlight was always on him and on how he behaved, even away from the pitch. That level of attention reflects the size of the club and the scrutiny attached to representing one of football's most recognised sides.

Arsenal are one of the world's top teams, so their players often face praise and criticism in equal measure. At Everton and Fulham, the expectation and media focus are naturally lower than they were in North London.

Iwobi Explains His Experience
Speaking about the contrast, as reported by the Daily Mail, Iwobi said: "I am at Fulham now, and I can see the difference, don't get me wrong Fulham are a big club, but at Arsenal you get noticed for anything. They will use you as a scapegoat.

"I never go out two days before a game."

Iwobi's time at Arsenal clearly left a lasting impression, even though he has since represented two other Premier League clubs. The demands, profile and scrutiny he experienced there were unique compared with his later moves.

At Arsenal, he was playing for one of the world's biggest clubs, and neither of his other two teams has matched the scale of the side he left behind. His remarks underline just how different life can be at an elite club.

Newcastle, Fulham and West Ham Have PGMOL Complaint After Man City Vs Arsenal Incident
There were a number of big talking points during Manchester City's clash with Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday, as you would expect for a big match.

But there were none more so than what happened between Erling Haaland and Gabriel Magalhaes in the 83rd minute.

Billed as the Premier League title showdown, Manchester City led 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium - a scoreline they would go on to hold on to to close the gap at the top of the table to just three points - thanks to goals from Rayan Cherki and Haaland, sandwiched by a Kai Havertz goal.

Erling Haaland Expected Red Card To Be Shown
With tensions and emotions running high, City were awarded a free-kick by Anthony Taylor after Arsenal defender Gabriel was all over the back of the Norwegian striker on the halfway line.

In turning to get on with play, Haaland pushed the Brazilian centre-back, who stood his ground and the pair went head-to-head. But before they came apart, Gabriel pushed his head into Haaland's in a headbutting action.

To his credit, Haaland did not fall to the floor clutching his face, and that may have saved the Arsenal defender from the worst possible punishment. Taylor called both players back together and gave them a yellow card apiece, with VAR not getting involved to suggest a red card for the Gunners man, when many felt that was what was deserved.

Speaking after the game, Haaland said: "I think it's a red card. I think most agree with me. If I go down like any other guy, it's a red card. It's not something I would do. My father taught me to stay on your feet.

"That's the reality. Should I have gone down? Maybe. Then it would've been easier. But I didn't and I got a yellow card. I don't know why."

The Premier League Match Centre on X posted soon after the incident: "The referee's call of no red card was checked and confirmed by VAR – with the action from Gabriel deemed not to be excessively aggressive or violent."

No Gabriel Red Card Has Knock-On Effect For Three Teams
Normally, when a player moves his head towards another player it is deemed as a headbutt and a red card, but not on this occasion, saving Gabriel and Arsenal from what could have been big problems not only in the final stages of the game with City, but in the coming weeks too.

Had Gabriel been sent off, he would have served a three-match ban for violent conduct, meaning he would have missed the games with Newcastle United, Fulham and West Ham in the coming weeks.

That would have hurt Arsenal's title bid immensely and it would have had a potential knock-on effect for those teams they are due to play too.

All three of those clubs would much rather face an Arsenal side without Gabriel in it and they would certainly have legitimate cause for complaint to the PGMOL. West Ham have more riding on Gabriel's involvement in their fixture than the others, with the Hammers battling Arsenal's rivals Tottenham against relegation from the Premier League.
