And West Ham were denied an obvious penalty earlier in the game when Pickford fouled their striker.

Im sure we were linked with Coventry captain Matt Grimes a few years back?

Hatch007

Fun fact, with both SL and SouthWest6 extolling the talents of Joao Gomes earlier in this thread, Wolves had 3 players in their starting XI with the surname'Gomes', plus another on the bench.

That's got to be some kid of really obscure, totally unimportant record.

Just sayin'.

Apologies, slow news day 🙄

I don't anything about Portugueuse/Brazilian surnames. Is this like Smith over there?

Hatch007

I'm sure it probably is but I doubt there's been a team with four Smiths in a foreign league starting XI, kinda the equivalent in reverse of Wolves yesterday

Manchester United could do us a favour today and score a few more goals against Brentford to ruin their goal difference. I really dislike them, but I hope they trash Brentford. 2-0 at half-time is a good beginning.

If Brentford gets absolutely smashed tonight they'll go to the weekend on a low, and hopefully that means West Ham can beat them. We need that.

Well, at least they won.

All three West London football clubs are now level on points. Unfortunately, our goal difference is the worst so we are 10th.

Thiago playing like Mr. Blobby helped Utd a lot.

Brentford have still got to go to the Emptyhad on the 9th.

We beat Bournemouth that day and it's a good spot for us.

Beating Bournmouth is key to Europe, Marco has to get the team beiliving they can make it. We really should be getting 9 points from Bounrmouth and Newcastle at home plus Wolves away.

Had a shocker, was surprised how many goals he's actually scored this season.

I agree re Bournemouth. Biggest game of the season, imo. It's an absolute must win game if we want Europe. Lose that and it's game over. And even if we get a draw, it will be almost impossible to overtake them.

I think we need to win against Bournemouth and then get at least 5 or 6 points from Arsenal, Wolves and Newcastle.
