Games for the Week-end 26/02

We’re off to South Wales to visit Cardiff at their place

Cardiff v Fulham

Mitro’s got the new goal scoring record, he’s overtaken Ivan Toney 31 for Brentford last season, and theres still 14 games to go! I’m sure his next target will be Guy Whittingham’s total of 42, I wouldn’t bet against him surpassing that one either!

Seri probably had his best game in a Fulham shirt, he’ll surely now be the 2nd name on the team sheet. If it wasn’t for Steven Benda remarkable performance then the result would have been far more comfortable than the 2-1 scoreline suggests.

Cardiff’s last minute loss to Huddersfield last time out, brought their good run of 4 wins in 6 games to an end, their in better form than 19th suggests.

Current form:
Cardiff – WLWDL
Fulham – DWWLW

Our record against the bluebirds is quite good with 7 wins, 5 losses and 6 draws.

Play-off semi-finals 1st leg…

Sunday and Monday see’s the first games of the play-off semi-finals.

Swansea v Cardiff

The first of the play-off semi’s is Swansea v Brentford, Swansea gatecrashed the top six replacing Forest on the final day so they’ve got to be full of confidence especially as Brentford lost their last game?

Cardiff v Fulham

Monday evening we get to travel to South Wales and take on Cardiff.
Our two previous games against Cardiff earlier this season were 1-1 at their place last August and a 2-0 win at the Cottage earlier this month.

Games for the Weekend 30/08

Another Friday evening away trip, this time we travel down to Cardiff.

Cardiff v Fulham

So after a couple of defeats, at home to Forest and the League Cup game in the week against Southampton its time to try and get back to winning ways in the league against Cardiff City.
We didn’t play badly in either of the games against Forest and Southampton, however we didn’t deserve to win either, perhaps a hangover from the Millwall game?

Neil Warnock is always a difficult manager to play against and unfortunately we don’t have Ryan, who always liked to score against them, but perhaps his brother, Steven Sessegnon, can carry on the family tradition? wouldn’t that be nice.

Team against Cardiff 20/10

Over on the forum we’ve been discussing who would be in our team to play against Cardiff…

whitejc

team against Cardiff

subs: Betts, Odoi, Bryan(if fit), Mawson, KMac, AK47, Vietto,

we obviously need to do something at the back and with Fosu out for a while we have to stick with Christie, I don’t think he was as bad against Arsenal as some have made out.

Betts has had his chance but 8 goals in 2 games just isn’t good enough, so I think its time for Rico to be given a go, otherwise why did we bring him in?

If Anguissa struggles with pace of game like at the weekend then MacDonald comes on around 60 minutes.

Games for the Weekend 20/10

This weekend we travel to South Wales to take on fellow Premiership ‘new boys’ Cardiff

Cardiff v Fulham

Well the past couple of games didn’t go the way we’d hoped so this weekend we’ll be aiming to get a result against a Cardiff ream that haven’t won a game so far this season, so expect a Fulhamish result!?

I’m sure Slaviša will have spent the ‘international break’ working with the players on their defensive duties, something Colin will try to exploit.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah is unlikely to be fit, so Cyrus Christie will hope for a better performance than against Arsenal, he wasn’t as bad as some have made out however he’ll want to answer some of his critics with a performance. At this point we don’t know if Tom Cairney, Alfie Mawson or Joe Bryan will be in the squad, their inclusion can only help shore up a too leaky defence.

If Slaviša’s style of football is better than Colin’s version then this game is the one to drive our point home, last season’s fixture resulted in a 4-2 defeat, time for revenge…
