We welcome Leeds to the Cottage for a 3 o’clock kick off

I’m still fuming about VAR and I really feel for Josh, having your debut premier league goal, especially against local rivals, disallowed for a non-foul a couple of minutes before, I would have been devastated! Then to add insult to injury they score past added time, the length of which was extended due to the 3+ minutes the referee took to agree with VAR, changed the game.

We finally, finally announced a couple of signings, after the window closed!, why do Fulham leave signings until the last possible moment? I’m assuming its to save money however not having players pre-season surely will cost us league points and therefore places? Which in turn will cost us “prize money” as the higher the finish the more money the team receives.
Both players look to be very exciting additions, Samuel Chukwueze on loan with an option to buy was the first to be announced. If rumours are to be believed, Chukwueze has been a ‘long-term’ target and could become a fans favourite, hopefully his load will be successful and he’ll join permanently at the end of the season.
Kevin, Shakhtar’s player of the season last year, has signed until 2030, with an option for a further year, so having lost one Brazilian, Pereira, we’ve gained another.
I don’t think either will start this weekends game but I do think they’ll both be in the squad and will come on at some stage.

Jonah Kusi-Asare was announced the day after the window closed on a season lone with an option to buy. Interestingly it appears that part of the loan deal is that the fee of 3 million will reduce dependant on how many games he plays?
Kusi-Asare is a young, 18 years old, Swedish striker who looks to be a very promising prospect.

Our record, for the previous 8 games, is OK with 4 wins, 3 losses and 1 draw, a cup game that Leeds won on pens.

As I said I don’t think any of the new signings will start the game, they’ll be on the bench, so my squad would be…

Well that was more like it! I really didn’t think that we’d get anything from Goodison Park, having only won 1 league game there previously however, we’ve now won two on the bounce.
Who’d have thought Dan James as a striker would work so well? Plan B, or was it Plan C?, certainly worked a treat and it was certainly Harry’s best performance of the season.

I’d give Pereira a “rest” for the Leeds game, he came to us mid way? through the Brazilian season and has played consistently, World Cup aside, for nearly a year.

Ludlow Richard, FoF’s stats man, mentioned over on the forum that the win against Everton was our most ever away wins in a Premier League season (6) beating the 5 wins in 2003/04.
With 4 away games to go we have a chance of beating the 2003/04 total of 21 away points, we currently have 20, Villa, Liverpool, Southampton and Man Utd await.
The Everton games was our 300th Premier League away game, of those 300 games we’ve won 1-3 just five times. Twice in the 2008/09 season against Bolton and Manchester City; once in the 2004/05 season against Blackburn; once (memorably) against Manchester United in 2003/04; and of course today against Everton. So we tend to win 3-1 away against north western teams.
We have now won two league games in a row at Goodison Park, having not won in the previous 28 league games.
We drew our 100th PL away game (against Villa) and our 200th PL away game (against Norwich).

Leeds have conceded 16 goals in their four Premier League games in April, eight more than any other side and one more than they let in during January, February and March combined (15 in 11 games).
Their last two games, both at home, against Liverpool and Palace they’ve conceded 11 goals, worrying for a team sitting in 16, 2 points above the drop zone.

This weekend we get to travel up to Leeds for a 14:00 Sunday kick-off

The game against Villa was one of our best performances, it really reminded me of how we played last season, we looked totally in control with each player knowing what was expected of him and playing for each other.
Willian was exceptional, if he keeps up this, very high, standard then he’ll give Marco a headache deciding between him and Harry Wilson.
Leno will be happy with a clean sheet, a few more would be nice especially with a “make shift” back four, Bobby D’Reid played really well even though he’s not a defender.
Harrison Reed looks as if he’s got a taste for goal, long may that continue, and wasn’t it a peach of a strike, the way he celebrated with Marco shows the “team spirit”
Congratulations to our latest academy graduate Luke Harris for getting his Premier League debut.

Leeds are coming off the back of a 2-0 loss to Leicester however our results against them is slightly in Leeds’ favour with 3 wins, 5 losses and 5 draws.
